The quality of care could greatly improve. My loved one wreaked of urine every visit. He was there almost three weeks before I decided to bring him back home. He ended up with a terrible skin infection on his penis, scrotum and rectum. The last night he was there he wasn't changed from 5:30 pm to 8:30 am. He and all of his bedding was completely soaked in urine and bowel was down to his knees! The toilet leaked. The bathroom baseboards were coming off. The area around the sink handles was black and brown with dirt and mold. His room floor was filthy. read more

Shut this place down. The lobby is disgusting. Do not sit on them they have urine stains all over the sofa and seats. Very nasty. The staff is super rude. Mean rude and un-caring. They will not give 2 cents about your loved one and will talk to you loud basically screaming and mean. My mother was literally in and out because of the incompetent behavior. An inspection needs to be done fast the room was gross. Someone's stuff was still in the room the bathroom made super loud noise like the toilet was continuously running pillows left from the other resident. Bags with personal stuff. Was not clean. The walls looked like a 2 year old lives their. This place needs a total make over and better Patient Care. One day their family members will have to be at a place like 5his and you would want and need great care so treat your Seniors accordingly read more

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!! They are terrible and do not care about the residents. They let my grandmother pass away here. A few month after we took her there we notice a huge decline in her health and it just continued to get worse. They did not care for her properly and gave her the wrong medication at times. We had to call the ambulance on several occasions due to lack of care. They locked down the facility during COVID without notifying anyones loved ones. I went to visit one day and was denied entry. The week before she passed I called them a thousand time because she was not answering her cellphone and they did not answer. I just knew something was not right. I called 911 to send medics there, they turned them away and said she was fine which was a lie. One of the administrators told me that if she left the facility to go to the hospital she could not come back. Later that day a nurse called me and said she was sending her to the hospital because something was not right. The next day she passed away. I repeat PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE, THEY DO NOT CARE! read more

Two days after transferring my father to this nursing home, he died. We found out that the nurse had forgotten to feed him. Two months before that, my father was fine in the hospital. I am still in the process of forgiving them so that I won't have to take further action for this incident. If you love the person you're about to place in a nursing home, this is not the place. It has a very bad order, very dirty, and obviously careless!! I regret for choosing this place without visiting it first and because it was closer to our home. read more

My brother went to Meadowbrook after back surgery. The day he was to be discharged they discovered he had and infection in his back, so instead of going home he ended up back in the hospital to try and control the infection. He is now facing another six weeks in a nursing facility on IV antibiotics. His doctor said he probably got the MSSA infection from the nursing home not keeping him clean or walking him enough. My brother even said they never sponged bathed him. The food is terrible and the nurse aids don't take good care of the patients. Do not send your loved one to this place. I even visited the facility before he was sent there and it looks great but looks and reality are far different. read more

Horrible Facility, Inexperienced staff that has no knowledge of how to assist families with any information. Missed almost 3 weeks of work because of it. Told be on Friday that Sunday was the last day insurance would pay. Received a phone call at 1!:50 pm Saturday, saying they had found a rash and that they would not know what it was until the doctors come in on Monday. I regret the decision we made in allow my father to go here as he now sits in a hospice facility at the end of his life. if I could rate a zero, I would! This is the worst place ever. My mom was sent there without my approval after a hip fracture for rehab. She ended up so extremely dehydrated that she went into renal faure and sepsis! I got news that she was h added to the ER, but they had not a clue as to which ER my mom was sent to. I was frantically calling every hospital within radius of this awful place, when I received a phone call from a Northside affiliated hospital. She had been in Northside Cherokee and the new hospital was able to pull her info up where I was listed as her emergency contact. They preceded to ask me what type of surgery my mom had done on her shoulder. I was in SHOCK, because my mom had been thru a fall and hip surgery. Meadowbrook had not in 3 days checked/changed her diaper or else they would have clearly seen the staples on her hip and not her shoulder. That is the reason she went into renal failure and sepsis because the fact that she was not urinating went unnoticed for 3 days. It took mom almost 2 hard weeks to recover from the neglect from this hideous, nightmare of a place. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR LOVED OBES TO ENTER THIS PLACE. IT SOULD BE SHUT DOWN. If there was something like -5 star I would definitely give that. This place needs to be shut down big time! Whatever 5 star posts you are seeing up here is a lie! There are roaches everywhere. It smells really bad. The people working here do not care as to what's going on with the patients/seniors. It's very degrading. My uncle would call them for his diaper change, and it would take 3-4 hours for someone to come and change him. We would expect people to be caring and kind here. But this place is filled with heartless people. This is just money making business no one really cares here. We had no choice, that's why we are here. Nursing the elderly is not an easy task by any means. And I commend the people who works in this profession to the highest degree. Having said that, I wish they would increase the salary significantly so they would employee more professionals as the current staff is pathetic. Place is filthy and the staff are lazy to say the least. All the clothes and blankets we bring somehow gets lost even tho we clearly mark the name with permanent markers. Once again I'm not trying to bash anyone or the place since the job that entails is no joke. However this nursing home could clearly use an improvement in many facets. read more

i went here to look at a place for my mother who has dementia. let me start by saying nasty on the outside did not get better in the inside. just disgusting all the way round paper on the floor. smelled really really bad. staff was unattentive. staff did not know where the key to the bathroom area to show. patients sitting in old uncomfortable chairs, no sofas no lounge worth looking at. not sure why the state has not shut this place completely down. i would not leave an animal in the place much less a human being. one of the worse nursing homes i ever seen. it is a shame how people take advantage of the elderly and their family who dont have other alternatives for care. just an awful depressing not clean not caring place and i guarantee staff turn around is at a all time high. but dont take my word. check it out for yourself. read more

I urge you if you care about your loved one, DO Not use this facility! One of my dearest friends had an accident and was admitted here for physical rehabilitation after her hospital stay. In the almost three weeks she has been here we have experienced the following: (we are working quickly to get her out and into a new facility. 1. The food is beyond horrible 2. Last Thursday night after midnight the three nurses were found having made a bed with sheets on the sofa's in the patient lobby and were all three sound asleep. 3. My friend desperately had to use the bathroom through the night. she could not get to the call button and fell half way out of bed trying to get it off the floor. She got caught under the bed rail and was stuck there for four hours. She called and screamed and no nurse ever came. She was forced to go to the bathroom all over herself. 4. She was supposed to get physical therapy daily. They only come to get her a few times a week if we are lucky 5. I have attempted to call there to get a nurse and have been placed on hold for up to 17 mins with no response. often there is not even any answer at all 6. The rooms don't have phones 7. The lady in the room down the hall I was told that she is a severe diabetic and her wounds are required to be cleaned daily.They are not doing this daily. She could lose her leg 8. The first week we were there a women died 9.The receptionist I found sitting in the sign-in room with the lights off sleeping in the middle of the day Sunday. I could go on but you get the idea. We have reported the home to the appropriate agencies. Please proceed with caution. read more
