Doesn't get better than that! Second there were a TON of riding toys, buckets of cars, and everything you could hope for a very busy toddler who needs to burn off energy! It was pretty quiet when we arrived at 5.30pm. My daughter loved playing with the dolls, stroller, car carrier and grocery cart. While my son played with every dump truck, bull dozer and pick up. They both loved riding on the dozen + riding toys. Cars, motorcycles, tricycles, big wheels, etc. There's a great climbing toy with a tall slide. A teeter totter, play houses, merry-go-round, and so much more! Also looks like they allow you to host parties in the space.

What a great swimming program for kids. The teachers were engaging and really kid friendly. The…read moreratio was amazing to see and the teachers who looked like they were part of a high school musical swim team went above and beyond to get to know the kids and they played fun games with them. I thought they might break out in song jk. This was the best swimming experience for my kids. They learned more in 30 minutes here than at the British Swim school. I also love the atmosphere as it reminded me of a community swim meet. Design and overall aesthetic of the community center is new and the center doesn't look run down. There was a random RV parked in front of the center but nothing sketch. As a parent I look out for these things. I'm excited to try more classes here for my kids.

This they ran out of funding so I save up extra money just in case because my daughter really wanted to try a sport this year. I wanted to put her in camps that would help build up her creativity/motor skills.. She is very good with her hands and she wanted to try more sports.. I signed my daughter up for a soccer camp that cost 180.00 for 5 days and 50 minute sessions each day, in doors...The camp started on a monday August 11th and she got sick sunday the day prior... I emailed another program coordinator earlier monday 9am prior to the camp starting at 1pm to notify that my daughter was not feeling well, and she may miss some days of the camp... I asked if we could move her to another camp that starts in September so that she don't miss multiple days. LeeMay replied back stating the don't give refunds and she disregarded my question about asking to move my daughter to another camp... And she didn't reply at all to any of the questions I asked about happy feet soccer for 2 yr olds... She advised she could put a request in but a doctor's note is advised not required. I advised It takes time and money taking my kids to the hospital for a tummy ache and frequent uses to the bathroom when I can handle it as a parent and how come my word is not enough..she ignored the rest of my emails and chose to not put a request in for my refund or reply back stating why she could not change the camp dates or give a credit to my account for another activity. LeeMay Kim choose to not put the request in and The community center kept my 180.00 dollars. Now my daughter cant do the camp at all because I Don't have funds and could not afford to flush 180.00 down the drain... And Seattle parks and recreation scholarship department have no way in helping assist me in getting my refund.. Very disappointed in LeeMay and her un professional habits in how she chose to assist me....And how she and the Department made it harder for a child who was really wanting to be involved in a summer camp and program... I highly recommend not working with LeeMay or giving this community center any funding for youth because they really don't care about the youth... Very digested.

There are plenty of cars and play areas with big blocks and little play stands and areas for all ages, from first starting to sit up to toddling to enjoy. I don't put my son in day care so it is great to have convenient, indoor, free spaces like this in Seattle. Highly recommended for parents to little ones!

I could not change another class for her because I was told that it is considered refund and they could not refund me anything. But I would not dare to take my daughter to that cold class again to "try" as the front desk staff recommended us to do it. Perhaps some sort of racism, but it's fine, keep going your way.

We've also come here for the indoor toddler gym play time... it was okay. As we got closer to the building there was a guy standing in the middle of the road, munching on a sandwich, and directing cars to parking slots....funny. The center was having a vintage market this weekend and what a pleasant surprise it was. The place is larger than it looks. Every room was filled to the brim with vintage goodies presented by individual vendors. The selection was wonderful and the prices reasonable. The vendors are so nice and willing to educate you about their collections. One gentleman sells vintage Christmas cards and buttons. I bought a few lovely cards (no one does graphics like this anymore) and plan on framing them whenever I find some nice antique frames. I also found a vintage pin that looks just like my doggies. I love antiquing but have found that the regular antique shops are getting pretentious (everything behind locked glass) and expensive. You can come to the LCCC, have fun conversations, and take home some treasures. They also have a flea market every few months.

Getting here is pretty easy, it's fairly close to the Dick's on Lake City. Parking is another story. The building has about a dozen parking spots and you'll often see cars double parked (the horror). Otherwise you're looking at street parking which can take you rather far away. Once you do find some parking far away, be sure to see if it's a "30mins load" or if there's a "No Parking" sign anywhere. The building itself is old and tired, with well-worn furniture in the waiting area and office. The restrooms are clean though. The large auditorium reminds me of a cafeteria, especially since they set up long folding tables for people to show their wares. There is a small cafe that will sell coffee, donuts, and sandwiches for a couple bucks. I like coming here because there is always something different at the flea market. One on hand, you'll get the stuff that is priced high (for my taste) of antique items such as coins, toys, and jewelry. On the other, you'll see stuff that is priced rather low which you don't need to buy so you don't but you so regret it later (sigh). Then there's a bunch of stuff in the middle that doesn't really land on your radar for whatever reason but it's still fun to wander around and browse a couple laps. You can show up early or on time to score good parking, but the tables don't really fill until maybe 2hrs after the official start time. Then it may get a little crowded with more buyers showing up. The folks at the vendor tables and staffing the cafe/office are super sweet and nice. They always have interesting stories to tell about their items. It's an overall relaxed vibe for the people like me who hope to find something really cool. :)

The pool underwent a renovation partway through the 12 summer seasons I competed. It was one of the pools that did not have a 12-foot deep end. Meaning dives needed to be shallow and turns carefully executed to not rub the tops of one's toes on the bottom of the pool. The concessions area was well set-up and priced. The grounds were some of the best in terms of size/space available for setting up a blanket during a swim meet. Our coaches would remind us before meets not to walk around too much and tire ourselves out since the pool area was so large. Parking was good if early enough, not as far of a walk as at some of the other Northern Division pools.

The lifeguards and management are focused and kind. I have never heard loud obnoxious music. I'm not sure why the neighbor stated that. The swimming lessons are amazing and reasonably priced. My kids have made amazing progress and have become fans of the lessons after getting signed up under protest. The only negative is that it is such a great place, it DOES take a while to get in.
