Made my niece Anorexic with her comments of saying she's overweight and making comparisons of her with my nephew. Any person knows that men and women have different weight gains and diet restrictions. My niece suffered for years until we found better help for her. Her staff is rude and inconsiderate. Doctor is constantly playing games on her computer, dismissing other clients and entertaining friends while she has clients waiting for her. She may cancel on you on the spot as she has for my niece and made her miss school multiple times to accommodate her schedule even though my niece had an appointment. Couldn't be more disappointed in Dr. Pakour and her practice. She's been my wife's PCP for a while. She's friendly and polite. But her office is a patient stacking model that makes the patient experience very low quality. The front desk staff is rude, and unprofessional. And the nurses in the back (at least Maria) are rude and dismiss all your questions to get you out of the office as quickly as possible. My wife had multiple questions for the doctor which were dismissed as unimportant so she literally wasn't allowed by Maria to ask the doctor about them. The doctor herself spent very little time with my wife and was very unhelpful when it came to addressing the concerns we did have. She just kept rambling on and on about things that weren't helpful at all. I talked to my wife about this afterwards. She said she has to wait more than an hour every time she visits the doctor. And the experience with the front office and nurses is always the same. Bottom line, enough is enough and we'll be switching doctors. Hope this helps someone avoid a similar experience. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Pakour. She listens attentively and asks questions not only about the physical aspects, but the mental conditions. She asks questions from top to bottom so nothing is left out. I cannot begin to thank Dr. Pakour and her caring health care staff. Earlier this year I went into the office sacred that I was Diabetic. They were able to see me as a walk in and did a full physical on me that same day as well as did a full lab work up. My labs showed that I was in deed diabetic. The young lady at the front desk was such a great help understanding my insurance detail to detail. Truely amazed me with her knowledge. The medical assistant at the back is such an incredible person. She was so quick and promptly responded to my needs. Loved her! The phlebotomist is soooo sweet and had such a good hand that I did not feel her getting my blood drawn. Wait time is ridiculous and they tell you to show up early definitely agree with people saying if you're not the same race as the doctor you wont get seen as quick we were there before some Arabic men they got seen before us. The nurses are very un empathetic one woman with blonde hair had a very thick accent and obviously needs more training as well as she was asking my 2 year old for a vision test he is only 2! She was making it seem like he was incapable of course he is still small! The doctor herself was shocked when I told her why they are doing a vision test on my 2 year old, then that same nurse said that was it and we get a call saying why did we leave ? When she said to leave she seemed very carless about us. everyone needs more training and another nurse gave 4 vaccines also empathetic saying oh it doesn't hurt no need to give Tylenol only if I like to like excuse me? Do you not hear my child crying than asked for blood to be taken out oh no mam they don't have a system very unorganized and be doing the vaccines very carelessly I won't be coming here again for my child's sake. read more

Simply put, Dr. Pakour is the best PCP I've ever had! She listens to my concerns and treats me as an individual, not just another patient on her list. Even during a visit where I consented to some medical students shadowing her, she made sure to circle back to me privately. She is proactively thorough and discovered some issues I would never have addressed. Her staff is fantastic and friendly as well. Treatment by reception was primitive and unprofessional. Employees can't read medical card. And don't understand medical coverage. My apt was fully covered by my insurance plan and I was told they don't accept PPO It's highlighted on my medical card. Wasted my time. I pay a lot for my medical insurance. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Pakour for general women's health. I've only been twice, the first for labs where I didn't meet Dr P and the second one for a pap smear where I met her for the first time. They were running a hour behind and I also wanted to talk to the Dr about at least 4 other issues. So I patiently waited. Lol I get back to back Dr P walks in, doesnt introduce herself, doesn't acknowledge that we're meeting for the first time doesn't at least speak to me about my medical history or any issues I have lol She immediately starts talking about my lab results and barely looks at me. She rushes the conversation and is dismissive that I only mention a shooting pain. She didn't even want to listen to that. This took about 5 minutes. The exam only took 10-15 minutes, the nurse came in too she was very nice. So we finish and they take a blood sample then they say ok bye.... I ask the nurse about my shooting pain like do I need a referral for a Chiropractor or for another doctor or what? She says let me ask Dr Pakour who's already on the phone. Dr Pakour comes over and we ask her again. She seriously goes "What do you want me to do about it" Hahahha that's the moment where I'm like ok never..coming.. back. I told her I don't know, I'm not a doctor. Why else would I be here if I knew what to do. Three stars because the support staff is very nice and I'm assuming she's a better Pediatrician. Major regret for my child's first year of life. I don't know why I put up with it so much but I figured might as well attempt to give her a chance with so many great reviews. I was incredibly wrong and I regret not finding another pediatrician sooner. The first time was her giggling while my daughter was a few months old and crying because she was getting her vaccines. The last time was her forcefully trying to draw blood on my 12 month old when the nurse had already tried and failed. My baby cried so hard and it took me forever to console her afterward. I'm really not sure what's going on here and how Dr. Pakour hasn't been sued yet. She's been messing around with my girlfriend and making her wait uneccessarily for the longest time. In our first visit I was told that she was very pleasant and took care of her. She said that we couldn't get a specialist until spending 6 months with her which we later found out was complete b.s. from Medi-Cal. Anyways she's been dealing with TMJ for a couple months now and of course her symptoms have increased since then. I've been driving her back and forth to different specialists because I want her to get better too. We could've just paid out of pocket for an MRI that a specialist is requesting a signature from Dr. Parkour, but Parkour insisted that she would take care of it for us. Now we have to go back to her. Finally after a stern talk from my gf, she agrees to sign off for the MRI. Well fast forward to now, two weeks later! She still haven't gotten the MRI sent out to the specialist and we called yesterday. When we tried to call the first time to give them a code she needed to move forward, she said they only do referrals on Tiesdays and Thursdays which of couse she failed to tell us the last visit, which makes us think she's messing with us more. They said they'd call back and failed to do so. My gf called and complained again today and they said for sure they'll call back and if not to call them by 4:30. It happens to be the only day we can celebrate my gf's bday and we have to worry about this all day. This has been very unfortunate and has cause us both emotional stress but mostly for my poor gf who has to deal with the pain everyday. I just want her to get better but we need Dr. Pakour to send off this signature. Not sure what she gets out of making us wait or if she just thinks that little of us. Now she has this ringing in her ear. I hope she'll make this right for us and I hope we can get this all taken care of. Maybe I'll update this review to 3 stars if we finally get some help. read more

Dr. Pakour is the best pediatrician and family care physician. I was struck by a car while riding my bike on February 2nd and transported by ambulance to Cedars Sinai. She saw me the following Monday first thing because I suffered a blain bleed, fractures in my back and foot. Her staff is excellent and caring. Thank God for Dr. Pakour, Stephanie, and Maria.
