So far, so good with Meachem Cleaners! I haven't yet brought anything for actual dry cleaning here yet, only used their repair services. I had three favorite sweaters that had holes in them. Wah wah. I took them to the dry cleaner in my office building who charged $36 for all three sweater repairs but did a sucky job because all the holes reopened just months later!!! What the heck!!! So I took the tops to Meachem Cleaners who charged me $20 for all three, a huge price difference & the quality looks to be much better. It took a little longer than other places might take - 6 days, but I'm really happy with the results and the price point. It seems to be a husband & wife working this cleaners and both are very friendly people. This dry cleaners is right near my home & I'm happy to say it has now become my regular cleaners! read more

The best dry cleaners in the Northwest suburbs that I've tried, and I've tried many. I live 22 minutes away and when I'm in the area visiting family I make sure to drop off my clothes here everytime. Occasionally, I'll make this trip here specifically just to drop off clothes. I can't stress this next point enough, the clothes come back like-new. You know those collar and cuff stains that darken your shirt (i know, gross)? They'll get that out. Seriously, I think there's a full-time Harry Potter doing incantations all day long in the back getting that out. Ever got blood on your white dress shirt? They'll get it out. Finally, idk if they press the pants, but there's some serious black magic going on here, the clothes come back with perfect creases. I went to a CD one price cleaners once, and they created a brand new line/crease running along my pants. You won't find none of that incompetence here. Nothing irritates me more than incompetence. On a side note, this place is family owned by a very nice couple that you'll never have a problem with. They usually ask, "when do you want it by," and if you catch what they're implying in this question, it's that they'll clean your clothes asap if you need it same day. The folks that own Meacham Cleaners are just amazing. Every time I go in there they are super friendly and know who you are. It's like walking into the Cheers of dry cleaning. Good customer service is very hard to find these days, but they are the exception If you live in the area or drive past for work, I would highly recommend giving them the business. Aside from the great customer service they do a good job on alterations and of course dry cleaning. read more

I have been going here for over 20 years now. They always know you by name and are so friendly. It is family-owned and they treat you well. They have always taken very good care of my clothes and I have many favorites/classics I have kept for years now so seems worth the expense. I moved a little farther away and still go here. They ask about me if I haven't been in for awhile. They will rush something for me if I need it right away. I have never had a problem in all this time. They also have done tailoring for me, because I can't sew a button and are very good. read more

Love the owners! So sweet and always put a smile on my face! Cost is moderate and worth it. They are always accommodating to get a garment cleaned quickly if needed. I also take basic alterations here and feel they do a nice job. read more

My husband and I absolutely love Meacham Cleaners. I had to take my wedding dress to them for a MAJOR cleaning. The bottom of my dress had gotten SO muddy (it rained like crazy the week we were married, and we were married outside). Not only did they remove each and every stain, they replaced a missing button without me even asking for it. They are also very nice and friendly people. read more

I had a $700 suede jacket ruined by this dry cleaner. When I saw what how they had faded the color, ruined the pockets, and left nails pocking out of the trims, I asked about what went wrong. The response was nothing short of aggressive and unapologetic. I did not ask for anything more than a simple acknowledgement of guilt and an apology, but the two owners were very uncooperative. The lack of English language skills shined thru when the woman told me that the jacket was "ugly" when I brought it in. I almost couldn't believe it. I would definitely NOT recommend dropping off your clothing here. The owners are extremely unprofessional and do very poor work. read more

I've been coming here for almost 2 years, and I still plan on going here as long as I live in the area . The couple that owns this cleaners is very nice ! Very great service. Pleased with how they handle my clothes. A little higher priced than I've seen elsewhere, but not bad.

This dry cleaner is amazing. Some of the other shops in the area seem dingy and gross when you walk in but this one is bright and clean. They have a really quick turnaround time and if you need something rushed they're happy to do it for you. Everyone is always so polite and they help you carry your stuff to your car if you have a lot of it. I had a white dress with a stain on it they couldn't get out after the first try, so they asked if they could keep it one more day to try again (free of charge). It worked the second time and I was really grateful. The prices are also super reasonable compared to other places I've been. Highly recommend. read more

If I could give this place a minus review I would. I've utilized this dry cleaners numerous times because of the convenience of the location and proximity to my parent's house despite the poor customer service and subpar cleaning provided. This is the last time that I will be bringing my clothes to this terrible place. In previous encounters, my dry cleaning was not ready when they said it would available for pick up. They state that they can provide same day service which is false advertisement. The reason I am writing this review is the blatant disregard for my business today. I dropped off 4 dresses yesterday around 4 pm requesting pick up today. One of the dresses had the same soiled area on it as it had when I dropped it off yesterday. When I asked why it did not look any better, the owner told me that she wasn't able to clean it better because I only gave her 1 day to clean the dress. She blamed me for the dress not looking any better because I apparently did not give her enough time to clean the dress. She said that if I had given her more than 1 day, she would've made more effort to clean the dress adequately. Unbelievable that she then refused to refund me the money that I prepaid for the dress when I initially dropped it off for cleaning. She said she wouldn't refund or discount anything and told me that this is all I should expect if I give her 1 day to complete my order. If the dry cleaning store can not provide quality service or even average cleaning of clothing in 1 day, they should just say that they are incapable of doing so rather than dishonestly take money for services they do not provide. I will NEVER go back to them again. read more

Great fast service, always. Only thing preventing 5 stars is it is pricier than most dry cleaning deals. Location is also so close to home I don't bother looking/shopping around . read more

They are reasonably priced, quick turnaround. They were quick to track down a list shirt and made a serious effort to make it right. Good cleaner! read more
