Mea Vita is the absolute BEST clothing boutique in the Sacramento area! The service is outstanding, they are extremely helpful, the pricing is very reasonable, and the store itself is inviting. The jewelry is handmade and unique, and the clothing is stylish and not something you will find just anywhere. While parking is not ideal, I wish they were in Roseville, CA Anyway ... LOVE THIS STORE!!! read more

Beautiful jewelry. I wanted something hand crafted and was completely satisfied with the earrings I picked out. The owner's son was helpful and attentive even though he was the only person and the shop was busy. I love the buy one get one 50% off on clothes! I always find unique materials and styles. I go there for the softest, most comfortable leggings ever that last years and are less than $20! This trip exceeded all my expectations and I was very happy with my purchases! Also, you earn gift certificates when you buy. I love Mea Vita!! read more

I have been to old town Sacramento many times in the last 3 years and just today discovered this unique store called Mea Vita. I was instantly in love with everything I was seeing, so I stepped outside and told my waiting boyfriend that I was going to be in there for a while and suggested he go into another shop where I would meet up with him later! The Made in Italy clothing was all one size casual comfortable clothing, sorted by color, nice material and items you dont see anywhere else. They were just my style! I wear size 10 and I would say most of the clothing would fit size 6 to 12. Beautiful handcrafted jewelry pieces are found here along with other accessories like bags and scarves. I am definitely coming here again and buying a special unique item each time to add to my Mea Vita collection! read more

Just returned from Istanbul, where I bought a unique handcrafted bracelet at the Grand Bazaar... Sadly a link in the chain broke. In my quest for a local jewelry repairperson, I consulted yelp and discovered Mea Vita. Owner Ms. Aida Makarevic doesn't really do repairs, but she save the day and graciously fixed my bracelet. I cannot believe she's run this Old Sacramento store (125 K Street, Sacramento, CA 95814) for nearly three years! Where have I been? Her passion for designing and handcrafting unique pieces of jewelry is amazing. Her work is like the pieces my friend brings home from NYC. Aida works mostly in sterling silver (925, baby!) -- and paints (which were her introduction to art). Indulge yourself (or someone you love) to something that is not massed produced... because you're worth it, darling! FYI -- She also sells some clothes, but the handbags made me drool too! read more

If you want to see and buy some of the best handcrafted and custom made Jewelry I have come across then you want to stop in here for sure! My wife would also tell you that this boutique has some of the most stylish and unique clothing outside of Carmel and the Bay area right here in Old Sacramento. My reason for this review is simple... our daughter was getting married this past weekend and we wanted to get her a nice simple pearl necklace with matching earrings for her to wear with her beautiful wedding dress.... we searched all over and saw many pieces that were very pricey but not exactly what we wanted..... it was 3 days before the wedding and we found ourselves wandering around Old Sac looking for something else we needed for the wedding and were about to settle on one of the pricey pieces at one of the Big Department stores when we walked into Mea Vita...... as we browsed this great shop and were taken back by the unique pieces in here the girl in the store pointed us to the owners own designs which we found to be Crazy Beautiful and Unique , the girl told us it was all one of a Kind and it was very reasonably priced.... but we didn't really see what we were wanting. As we looked around ...the owner/designer Aida came in......... she asked us if we had any questions or if we were looking for something in particular.....my wife, not one to ask the QUESTION.... gave the ole we are just looking answer ...... but something about AIda told me to ASK the Question......so I told her what we were looking for........Aida told me I can make that for you...My wife said well we need it for Saturday...... AIda's reply was I can make it right now , it wont take me that long...... she opened a drawer and my wife got to hand pick the pearls, the silver chain, the earring styles and in 15 minutes we had the most beautiful,Exactly what we wanted pieces for our daughters wedding ....... and the price was a third of what we were about to settle for and so much more meaningful! We can not thank AIda enough for this Gift! The compliments our daughter had on the jewelry and the beauty of it was worth it all! We will be back to have Aida design some more of her great Jewelry for ourselves! Stop in and Ask for Aida and tell her Ozzie and Maria Sent you ! read more

I totally love this store! I happened to pass by and was drawn in by all the wonderful scarves that they had on display. I am a huge scarf-girl! I walked out of that store purchasing three scarves and a cute bracelet. Truthfully, I made myself leave. I loved all the merchandise! The clothing style was very casual yet chic. Loved the colors and the textures of the fabrics. I've given my husband their card and told him that I'm sure my Xmas present is in that store. read more

Looking for an unusual, fashionable clothing...unique accessories...one of a kind jewelry...someone to help you and give you an honest opinion without trying to sell you what you DON'T want?? A place to buy European clothes at reasonable prices? Well, there is a store like that in Sac. Yep...in Sac. Mea Vita is there to deliver all that. Customer since 2008! LOVE IT! read more

I love this store the staff is really nice . The one thing I love is their BOGO rack in the back , it's always jamm packed with new garments and being that most of the clothes are on the pricey side 70$ and up , it's nice to be able to get that two for one deal . The only thing I have ran into that makes me think if I'm paying these prices then this should not happen is the clothes tend to tear & you can not return them if you have worn them which is understandable but they should not be tearing . I have had a 80$ pair of pants and 80$ dress rip that I just got back from the cleaners and had to pay to have them sewn for me . This makes me sad . I would think with them being imported and the fabrics they use that they would last past one wear with out ripping . I'm not super hard on my clothes so I'm not sure what the deal is . But that being said , I will still shop here cause the clothes are very original and fit hood on every body type . I will just keep shopping in the BOGO section ! read more

Mea Vita - This is the dress I had to have repaired , it ripped right at the zipper , so you can't even tell ! - Jewelry Near Me - Sacramento, California

Well, a great find in Old Sacramento. Unique clothes reasonably priced with extremely friendly owners. Worth the visit.

This is a nice place with helpful staff. They probably would have gotten five if they had more selection and a better layout. Sheryle fou d a couple things here, and they do have some really great jewelry in particular, but I admit that I was a little bored here. Now, it might just be a more woman style store, but I can usually have fun in those places if I'm buying for Sheryle, but I just could not get into anything really. I picked Sheryle's necklace and then I was ready to go. read more

As an update... Aida created custom jewelry for my wedding in 2009. In all she made 6 sets of necklaces with earrings: My set, 4 bridesmaids sets, and my mom's set. We collaborated on the design and I chose the majority of the materials, with Aida suggesting complimentary materials. I got to see the jewelry at about 90% completion, and we made some minor revisions. I picked up the jewelry 2 months before the wedding and needed one last modification to my necklace due to the design of my dress. All pieces were within the cost range I provided and all were ready well in advance of when I requested they be done. The jewelry was one focal piece in my wedding and received many compliments. To this date, people still remember my fabulous statement necklace. My bridesmaids wear their pieces frequently and have stated that not only is it their favorite item, but when they wear the set they get compliments from strangers. I own 5 set of necklace/earring combos and 2 rings from Aida. They are stunning pieces that always bring in compliments. They are sturdy and well made. After my wedding experience, I will definitely be asking for another commissioned piece from Aida. read more

I needed a custom piece designed as a gift for my boss to acknowledge a milestone, and Mea Vita came immediately to mind, as I'd been to the shop several times and was always impressed with the creativity.
