Thankfully there were a number of pest control companies in the area, and when we reached out to several, Green Planet Pest Control responded promptly, answered all our questions, and were able to schedule something within a day or two. The guy who came out to our house wore appropriate protection gear, and got the job done without any toxic chemicals that would've been bad for our dog or kids nearby. He also advised me on what product to get (a fairly pleasant-smelling natural spray with peppermint oil) to keep spraying in the area if I saw any return buildup, that would dissuade the wasps from sticking around. This year, as soon as we saw the carpenter bees start coming back, we hired Rusty for preventative treatment. He was able to spray along our roof with no problems which also took care of the carpenter bees, and since then we haven't seen any bees come back! And this is where the story takes a positive turn. Signed up online and received a text with a link of who was coming and what day. Included information of what was going to be performed and how much. Having never had to use a pest service, I was concerned about who would be going through my house and this poor soul had to crawl and climb all over a completely turned upside-down house, on a hot July day. He set some bait and traps and had immediate results the evening after the first visit. He returned 2 weeks later to clear the traps (3 kills!) and seal up the outside.
