Wish there were more stars to give you! Recently we encountered some water damage that required the services of MD Restoration. A young man named Mike Ruben Molina came to our aid immediately. He was very nice and politely explained the situation and what procedures he would be performing to remedy the problem. He quickly went to work to assess the damage and removed the water soaked material neatly and efficiently. Mike was very approachable and very calmly answered all of my questions with patience. My wife and I knew we made the right choice with MD Restoration. Mike's positive personality and professionalism is a great asset for MD Restoration. I would like to thank Joshua Cruz for his professionalism in removing my floor tiles that tested 2% for asbestos. Joshua was extremely polite and explained the whole process on what he was about to do. After his explanation I felt that I knew exactly what the job entailed and how he was going to accomplish his tasks. Joshua laid down brown paper throughout the route from the front door to the entrance of the bedroom and completely sealed the area also creating a pass thru entrance to our bedroom. He thoroughly completed the job and removed ALL debris in bags that were sealed completely. Joshua returned today with the environmentalist who cleared the room. MD personnel delivered the necessary laminate flooring right after the room was cleared. Final steps on Monday, looking forward to meeting the floor experts who will replace my flooring. I also noticed something special about MD Restoration. You can tell that the workers have all been trained well, how polite they are and observed how detailed their vehicles are meticulously kept. Today we had the pleasure of working with two repair specialists who installed our laminate flooring. Their names are Rudy Kraus and Matt Nelson. Both individuals are friendly, courteous and highly skilled in their crafts and our new flooring looks "Super" All moldings that were installed are a tight fit with no spaces in between, a credit to their knowledge and work skills.. All the individuals that we have worked with so far have been great to work with. We look forward to the final stage! We are in the final steps of restoring our flooded master bedroom. Painters Ed Kaita and Olie Oliveros arrived yesterday morning and assessed the situation. Paper was put over the newly installed flooring and Ed went over the color of the wall and trim. Mentioned to Ed that the sliding bathroom door was a little sticky after the new flooring went in. Shortly after returning with the paint they went to work scraping and caulking the grooves on a portion of the wall. Hours later the bedroom was completely painted and the sliding bathroom door was repaired to my satisfaction. These guys worked so hard and transformed the bedroom in to their work of art. During the day while Ed and Olie were working I was visited by Craig Sumida (Construction Superintendent) and Candace Lewis (Marketing Manager). Final day. MD Restoration sent Chris Lazo and Garrett Tokuoka two strong men who were able to reset my bed and furniture back to how it was before the incident. We had a small valve in our refrigerator fail and flooded our kitchen with about an inch of water. I called MD Restoration because of their ads on TV and I am glad I did. The project manager Troy sent our the first team of Mike Molina and Bryent Baptist to do all the initial emergency work, they set the tone for the rest of the process of restoring our kitchen. Mike Molina, Lan Remigio and Jeremiah Mata then came on site to remove the flooring and damaged drywall, then Mike and Bryent returned to do the moisture, mold and mildew remediation and prevention. Then the final crew of Chris Parel and Keola Wilhelm were the final crew that did all the repair and restoration. Each of the teams and individual are true professionals and carried out their processes in a courteous and professional manner. At all times they insured that the impact on our life was minimized and maximum access to our home was provided as much as possible. Project Managers Troy Chikazawa, Lacey Alesna, and Brandy Sacro provided tremendous organization and scheduling leadership that made the whole process as painless as possible. What could have been a nightmare turned out to be minimally invasive and a truly professional process. I am glad I had seen the TV ads and called MD Restorations, they are a "cradle to grave" company and provided a seamless mitigation, demo, and restoration process from beginning to end. Another company had put a dry chemical cleaner on our downstairs carpets that created a sticky film and after two more tries, they still could not remove the film. I then called MD Restoration (MD) and in one cleaning they took care of the problem. Recently I was aghast as I spilled a full glass of dark red shiraz wine onto my white living room carpet. After trying to clean up the mess myself (to no avail), I again called MD and Samie answered my distress call. She scheduled a technician, Kaulana, a day later, and he completely removed the stain. He was polite and competent using equipment, chemicals and techniques I had never seen. The company's equipment is first rate (new, clean and modern). Because the carpet was so wet due primarily to my efforts to clean it, the wine leached back into the pile from the carpet's backing and pad overnight. I call Samie again, and Kaulana was back at the house the next day. He again cleaned all evidence of wine. He indicated that the carpet was still wet, and there could be some more leaching into the pile. If that happened, I was requested to call him. In the meantime I strategically placed a fan to dry the carpet. There was some minor leaching over the weekend as the carpet dried and yes, Kaulana was back on Tuesday to do a final cleaning. It is obvious that the Company is interested in providing quality service and having satisfied customers. It's employees are friendly and competent and take pride in their work. Our journey with MD Restoration started back in March when our refrigerator water filter broke while we were not at home. It caused water damage to the entire downstairs living space. After consultation with our insurance company, they sent MD restoration to assess the water damage. MD was very responsive at first with getting their technicians in to dry out the moisture left by the water, as well as removal of the floors. But once we were faced with COVID everything came to a halt for a little over a month. We were faced with unfinished renovations and a Project Manager who poorly communicated with us. When the company resumed operations we were fortunate to work with Troy C., a new PM who was very reliable and patient. I appreciate Tory's conscious effort in walking us through the renovation process and putting us at ease. MD schedules several tradesmen to come to assist in the various parts of the job. There were differences in skillset that each possessed. Chris P. was by far the best employee to work on our home renovations. He was so professional, knowledgeable, skilled, and conscientious with his trade. Many other employees would benefit from practicing his meticulous work ethics. It took a span of 8 months to fully complete the restoration project. I think that this company is most professional I have ever seen and worked with. Everybody comes with great aloha smiles, and call me by first name. I had water leak from my bathroom to the bedroom. I called then as soon as I wiped all the water on the floor to make sure there is no hidden damages. Robert and Chris came first night. They are so good and they helped me to take out all the boxes out of closet as I have sensitive back. And their personality eased my exhaustion better. yet with five machines going on made me not to sleep, and it was a nightmare. next day, Yonell who arrived even before appointment time (it was the first time as long as I lived in Hawaii) and Mike showed up on time. Mike spent great amount of time explaining to me what choice I had, cost, insurance matter, and so on. just as Yonell explained to me how to more comfortably sleep, and even my dog's safety with great smile. And it's so nice to have a female crew in the team for people like myself who lives alone. Third day at late night, I saw some bubbles on the wall, and I panicked. So I left messages to Mike and Yonell. And amazing enough, Yonell texed me back at 6:38 am next day on Saturday on her day off, and end result, even she explained to me that was what supposed to happen, Bryent was already at my building waiting to make sure to check. Don't write reviews very often. Simply because I either don't have the time or energy, but also because I don't want others to discover any hidden gems I may have stumbled upon. This time is different though because JOE is frickin' awesome. He was our tech that was oh so randomly assigned to fulfill our appointment and we are so grateful for it! He wasn't able to give a courtesy call the previous night of the appointment like others have mentioned, but his wife was at the hospital giving birth to his newborn baby, so it was totally excusable. He showed up prompt (early even) and after assessing the state of our carpet's condition, he got to work right away stopping only to explain the details of the treatment and giving out recommendations (i.e. using the truck's awesome suction capabilities instead of relying on a cordless machine and having to keep dumping the dirty water in a sink or toilet). I took my dog on a walk around the neighborhood (which takes less than an hour) while he got to the task at hand and by the time we returned, he was already wrapping up and putting away the equipment. He's such a friendly, easy-going dude. Great to talk to and even shared that he was once a MMA cage fighter before taking this job. Random and super cool. Will definitely keep requesting him for future appointments. Due to the heavy rains in January 2021, we noticed some water damage in our garage and guest bedroom. If you have ever experienced water damage in your home you know it can be a stressful experience. We called MD Restoration and they were able to come that morning. The Project Manager, Troy C. did an inspection of our home and mapped out a plan to start drying out the areas that detected moisture. Troy explains things very thoroughly and was even willing to explain everything again over the phone to my husband. Bryent was assigned to bring out the dehumidifiers and checked on the levels every other day. He was also very professional and took the time to explain the change in moisture on every visit. Other members of the team that worked on our project included, Lacey, Jacob and Kendell. Kendell and Jacob worked on the demo, they were very efficient and made sure their work area was cleaned up. I also received email communication after every visit documenting their work and their customer service team follows up to make sure our needs have been met throughout the entire project. I would definitely recommend MD Restoration to my friends and family. I was referred to MD Restoration by American Carpet One. I followed their advice and am very happy that I did. I was impressed the first time I used this company and keep going back, even though I see many enticing cheaper advertisements from competitors. Part of the reason I keep using MD Restoration for my carpet cleaning is the outstanding professionalism of technician Russ Okamura. He is on time, polite, careful, cooperative, helpful and very competent and professional. MD Restoration is very fortunate to have him as an employee. I used the carpet cleaning service again today, and was pleased that once again Russ was in charge of the work. As usual, from the moment he arrived until the job was completed, he worked steadily and thoroughly until the job was completed. I am also impressed with the high quality equipment that is used. A first class operation. Russ' helpers also have always been very competent and polite, Such was the case today with assistant Mark. Together they made a good team. No question, I will continue to use MD for my carpet cleaning and not consider any other service provider regardless of the bargain prices that may be quoted. Our flood to the home happened overnight. We called around at approximately 5:30-6:99 am in the morning to find help. They weee the first to respond. The business manager arrived by 6am. And the workers were organized to arrive by 9:00 am. They helped with the immediate move out of personal items on the floor and started vacuuming up the water. This was a huge undertaking for my age. But the guys got it done. Thanks to Troy and the team. When it came to the repair of the damaged kitchen, it was done in a number of weeks. Small adjustments were needed to the cabinets and handles and Tony with the help of Lance got that all done in a matter of a couple of hours. We are so happy with our replaced kitchen and carpeting throughout the home. If you need immediate service and compassionate workers that show they care and do the work to make you happy, they are the ones to call. They have the team to get it ALL done. MAHALO from Happy and Tammy. We are super happy. (Home insurance plus personal funds paid for this renovation and repairs) but it helps to have excellent workers and managers throughout the process. There was a leak from the toilet and shower coming from the unit above me which damaged my ceiling, bathroom, vanity area, and a wall of my master bedroom. I called MD Restoration and Paul Parke, Project Manager, came to my unit to do an assessment of the damage. Paul worked with the field inspector from my insurance company to determine the scope of work to repair my unit. During the entire process, Paul was very responsive to my questions by phone, email, and text. The demolition crew, Aaron, Anthony, and Kayson, took care to protect the flooring and sealed up the damaged area so not to expose the rest of my unit to dust and any possible mold. They were able to remove my recently installed bathroom countertop, cabinets, and mirror without any damage. They did an amazing job. The repair crew restored my unit to its pre-damaged condition and it looks great! I was provided with updates and photos during the demo and repair process. The office staff, Brandy, Rey, Troy, and Chase, were also helpful and responsive to my questions. From the beginning, everyone at MD Restoration was polite and professional. Where do I even begin? I can't thank MD Restoration enough for being there for me and helping me with the "unexpected and extended" mold job removal, they completed in one of my rooms in my home. Let's just say drywall sure masks a lot. It was a nightmare! What started as simple, turned out to be an entire room demo. If it wasn't for the professionalism and patience from the MD crew, I would've been a wreck. Huge shout out to Aaron, my technician, who worked hard to help start and complete my room. Super cool and very trustworthy. Shout out to the other techs, especially Day #2 crew (sorry, I didn't get your names) but they had one hell-of-a-job to do with the demo. I have used MD Restoration twice, first time was on July 6th,2020 a condo unit flooding from an apartment above the unit. I called, they responded pretty quickly. Bryant was the extraction technician and took care the water extraction to avoid mold built up. Because of my experience was good one. I unfortunately had another water damage on Jan 15, 2021. I called and responded quickly again, a team came to carry out water extraction. The water extraction team was Mike and Davidson. They did a good job and again very pleasant and took care of the drying. Then came the repair team. It took longer than expected to get the proposal. And so many pages to sign... and there were template paragraphs that were non relevant all there...some of them can be and should be deleted. Like building permit! for a simple patch and paint job??? It scares people off when one is already dealing with water damage. My advice is KEEP IT SIMPLE when people are stressed already with water damages!!! I don't usually do Yelp reviews but, I had to do one for MD Restoration. They are AWESOME!!! A few years back we had a problem with mold due to a water heater leak. They came in and "took care of it". They took care to set up "drapes" to separate the work area from the rest of the house. They were extremely neat and took care in their work. Very professional. When we recently painted our house, our painter said that MD Restoration did an excellent job matching the paint color in our laundry room and garage! Couldn't even tell there had been repair work done. So, when my mom's laundry room recently flooded we called MD Restoration immediately. They arrived the next day. Justin set everything up and Yonelle came the following day to follow up. They both did an excellent job. I was also impressed with the care and neatness used by Yonelle when punching out holes in the baseboards to dry out the wall. Can't say enough about MD Restoration. Definitely recommend MD Restoration for any type of emergency issues. While working at my job, we had an emergency situation happen where the 43rd floor stairwell flooded all the way down to the 4th floor. MD Restoration responded promptly, assessed the situation and handled it accordingly. They set up a small concierge here and will be here all week to assist residents of the affected units (can't tell you how thankful I am for that). While they were working, I was able to watch them interact with different residents and work in their units. I must say I was impressed. Each tech and manager were so thorough when explaining and answering any questions/concerns residents (and staff) had. As shy as I am, I was also comfortable asking questions and talking to them, they made it easy. Overall very professional and kind. 10/10 would recommend. My house flooded while vacant due to a broken valve in the bathroom - had gone on for days and completely leaked through to the first floor. Goes without saying that it caused a substantial amount of damage - a house owners worst nightmare - which fortunately I was covered for. Ryan and his team at MD restoration came and quickly proceeded to do damage control including removal, remediation and providing an estimate for repairs. He worked diligently with my insurance claims officer and was always available to take calls and discuss any issues, progress etc. His depth of experience and professionalism really showed in how smooth he was able to handle the process and ultimately for a fair insurance payout that properly covered the costs.
