Cost for 2-hour diagnostic assessment to identify faulty crankshaft sensor was $133.90/hr x 2 = $267.80 plus $50 service charge for total of $317.80 ($348.79 with tax). Cost for installation of new crankshaft sensor was $58.81 for the sensor, $130.00 for 1 hour of labor plus another $50 service charge for total of $238.81 ($262.09 with tax). I offered to pay with cash. Roberts said he preferred a credit card. However, he did not tell me there was a $31.96 "noncash adjustment/credit card fee.". Since the final billing amount included 9.75% tax, the credit should have been for $54.88. I did check the "terms and conditions " on your website again to be sure that I hadn't overlooked anything. According to your website, you charge $130.00/hr for diagnostics. However, I was charged $133.90/hr. The amount of overcharge was $7.80 for two hours plus 0.76 tax = $8.56. Your website says nothing about a charge of $22.86 for mobile supplies that was added to my bill. Including tax, the amount of overcharge was $22.86 + $2.23 = $25.09. Your website also says nothing about a 5% "noncash adjustment / credit card fee" for paying with a credit card in lieu of cash. Including tax, the amount of overcharge was $31.96 + $3.12 = $35.08. So, the total outstanding overcharges are $4.88 + $8.56 + $25.09 + $35.08 = $73.61. By the way, I don't happen to think these oversights were intentional on your end. Rather, the software that you're using for billing appears to be much lower in quality than the sophisticated diagnostic software that you use to identify mechanical problems in motor vehicles. This was at 12:00 on a saturday. After a 2 hour wait the driver called me and apologized saying that it was a bit "choppy" out was how he stated it and he would be here in another 30 mins. 45 mins later I got another call saying it would be another 10 - 15 mins until his arrival. Now 3 hours in to this fiasco, the driver arrived and looked at the truck. After stating that he wouldn't do 200 that was told to me and could only go to 150 I asked to speak to the owner who argued with me over the phone about the relivence of the truck in today's market. Scrap value alone on this truck is 500 or so just for the weight. After arguing with him I spoke with my wife and we decided to just take the 150 for it and be done with it. The owner of this business has shameful morals to his customers and his word means nothing. All in all if you use these guys just be wary that your are not going to get what was promised to you and it's going to take much more time to get the little they offered. All in all I would say the truck driver was courteous and easy going to deal with but the business as a whole is a waste of your time. Dont do it.

Let me start by saying that Jason at Street Sounds in Nashville is a patient and good man…read more My daughter had an issue with her car at an oil change facility in town (Nashville), where things went extremely bad as they made a mistake that could have been catastrophic to the car's engine. They also disconnected the battery cable from the battery and evidently, that reset the car's (RAV4 2002) very old aftermarket security alarm. The alarm system kept activating the audible alarm and the car would not start. As she is traveling across the country, this all could not have happened at a worse time! I will spare some of the details regarding just how bad the day was. Suffice it to say, it was like a snowball rolling downhill gathering more and more snow. I looked up local alarm shops in Nashville, I am in California, and I came across Jason who was very willing to listen and help try to diagnose the problem over the phone. Jason understood the stress my daughter was under and he patiently worked with her and I over the phone in an attempt to resolve the problem with the alarm system. We eventually had the car taken to Jason's shop that same day and he was able to quickly fix things so that my daughter could get back on the road. I feel very blessed that we came across Jason and Street Sounds as they are honest, empathetic and trustworthy. Which is weird because many people had recommended them for their radio expertise and repairs. He again, stated that he didn't they don't make repairs, but then attempted to sell me a radio in excess of $1000.00 and I knew then this wasn't the business that I wanted, since I wasn't in the market for a radio and wanted to see options of repairing prior to replacing.
