Dale stopped me and asked me to bring it in so he can verify whether or not this was true. So I took it in the next morning. He took a look and basically found that the dealership was in fact trying to get one over on me. Now I had called 5-7 shops in the area to get quotes before going with Dale. I went with Dale because he was beyond nice on the phone, very professional, and he was the first one to offer to verify what the dealership was saying I needed. Now truth be told, he was not the cheapest quote. However, he was only $20 more than the cheapest quote. And because Dale seemed to be honest and very polite on the phone. I went with this shop. So Dale called me and said I only needed 2 out of the 5 things the dealership said I needed. And was wayyy cheaper than the dealerships quotes. I said, "let's do it!." My SUV was done in about an hour and a half. I am extremely pleased with their work and friendlyness. I believe the other employee Mike? Mark? was super nice too. So I have a 79 el Camino and I live in north Nashville near my job and since I've moved here it's…read morebeen difficult to find a reliable trustworthy mechanic. Well some time in august after plenty trial and error I stumbled across these guys after my car broke down on me. My car was towed and stored safely, once they were able to look at it, which was the very next day I had already assumed I knew the issues so I bought at least 150$ in parts and put them in the vehicle. Well the very next day I received a call and not only were they honest about those parts not being the issue they told me exactly the problem, in what order it needed to be fixed and that I could also bring the parts back to save myself the money. They fixed my Elco in a timely matter. As a local truck driver I at times get stuck out on the road and it's hard to pin-point my time back. Not only were they understanding but they didn't charge me storage fee and worked with me with fantastic communication about helping me get it back. WAIT! It gets even better! So I finally was able to pick up the Elco and a hose slipped off on my way home about 1.5 miles from my apartment. That hose had nothing to do with the parts fixed on the vehicle for one, secondly after maybe 30 minutes I was able to get it home. Once I did i called the shop, that hose I'm referring to controlled how the transmission shifted which made sense because it was a chore getting it 1.5 miles to my place however I called just for some help and not only were they willing to help me over the phone but Jeff came from Gallatin to Goodlettsville, TO MY APARTMENT and helped me get the hose back on properly. My mom always told me to be thankful for people who go above and beyond and let me tell you this shop is a very down to earth family owned business who definitely deserve the glory because every step of the way I was made to feel safe about my vehicle and that it was definitely going to get the care it needed all the way down to the awesome customer service over the phone and efforts that they really didn't even have to extend to me. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing and left me feeling frustrated and disregarded. I arrived at 9 a.m. and spoke with Justin. I explained that my car was leaking orange fluid, which I suspected was coolant, although it wasn't overheating. Justin said they could look at it today and that depending on the issue, it might be fixable the same day. I made it clear that I really needed it looked at today because my son has a soccer tournament in Atlanta this weekend, and I didn't feel comfortable driving it until it was checked out. Justin acknowledged this, and I left my car with him. I waited nearly two hours for my ride while my car was briefly pulled into the bay (for about 15-20 minutes) and then parked back outside. After that, I heard nothing for the rest of the day. Between 2 and 3 p.m., I tried calling several times but couldn't reach anyone. Finally, around 3 p.m., someone named Mike answered and told me the shop was 2-3 days behind and that no one would be able to look at my car today. I was shocked, as this was never communicated to me earlier. If I had known that, I would not have left my car there and could have made other arrangements. When I mentioned this to Mike, he told me that it "seems like you really need your car" and that I could come pick it up. I asked why Justin hadn't told me this when I dropped it off, especially since I sat there for two hours. Mike said he wasn't my salesperson and that Justin had already left for the day. When I said I'd been trying to call for an hour, he replied that the phones had been ringing all afternoon. When I came to pick up my car, Mike was dismissive and unprofessional. He stood with his arms crossed, offered no apology, and repeatedly said it wasn't his fault. I asked to speak with someone in charge, but he told me no one was available and that I'd need to call the manager tomorrow. After I pressed the issue, he finally brought another staff member over and introduced me by saying, "This is the lady I told you was upset." The other employee explained that the mechanic had pulled my car in only to check whether the leak was oil-related, not coolant, and then parked it back outside. Overall, this situation could have been completely avoided with proper communication. If I had been told that the shop was 2-3 days behind when I dropped off the car, I would have made different plans. Instead, I spent the day waiting, unable to reach anyone by phone, and now had to rush to find a rental car so I could take my son to his tournament. I'm writing this not just to share my frustration but in hopes that this helps your team improve communication with customers. People understand that shops get busy, but being upfront and courteous goes a long way. I truly expected better based on your reputation and recommendation.
