Dr. Ahlering was so so kind and knowledgeable. He was always straight forward and spoke the truth. You could tell he truly has a heart for his work and is NOT in it for the money. I absolutely LOVED my coordinators, Jen A and Courtney. I could sing Courtney's praises all day. I had so many questions for her throughout my transfers and she always acted with kindness and patience. I also really enjoyed MCRM's Facebook page with allows patients of MCRM to connect. MCRM does a great job of keeping their patients connected and feeling supported! I'm currently holding our 8wk old miracle thanks to MCRM. We will never go anywhere else for our IVF needs! If you get diagnosed with anything relating to female infertility like DOR, have short cycles, throw early follicles, or respond poorly to birth control, go elsewhere. My concerns were ignored, i was put on a cookie cutter protocol, not told despite my frequent questions that my 'standard' protocol had been changed to a luteal phase retrieval because of high estradiol numbers at baseline signifying either a cyst or early follicle--just like I'd been concerned about. I was encouraged (read, worried about losing 7.5k$ due to prepayment that was not per their contract reimbursable through clinic cancellation) to not cancel a round that THEY should have preemptively canceled due to extremely low estradiol numbers for 6 follicles, leading to the retrieval of 1 egg and 5 empty follicles, rather than cancelling on their end and reviewing my protocol as should have been done. To have them call on the next day and act like I should be excited that one follicle fertilized normally with a sum total of .9-1.5% chance of it leading to a live birth (85% attrition funnel, 25% reduction for chance of genetic disorder, 50% attrition for sex selection--the entire reason i began IVF to begin with, and 18-23% live birth chances for those math curious) was the icing on the cake read more

Avoid MCRM at all costs. This clinic has been an absolute nightmare. My husband and I were charged for a surgery that never happened, billed repeatedly for out-of-pocket costs with no explanation, and our insurance benefits were ignored multiple times. Co-pays went missing from billing statements, and we had to chase them constantly just to fix their errors. They never told me my doctor, Dr. Alexander, who was great, had left the clinic. I was still scheduled for a procedure without this information and I found out on my own. When I requested my medical records to be sent to my new clinic, they ignored the request and never followed up. This place is all about squeezing every dollar they can from vulnerable patients. They nickel-and-dime you, mismanage records, misbill procedures, and show no regard for your care or outcome. Save yourself the stress, money, and emotional toll--go anywhere else. read more

If I could give this place 0 or negative stars I would. My daughter, Courtney, and son in law had a HORRIBLE experience at this place. I don't want to tell her story, but you can read her review on google when you search this clinic. MCRM's response to her review was that they are concerned to hear about her experience and take feedback seriously. They advised my daughter to call the services director to discuss the ongoing issue. MCRM owner and staff take note - if you really cared, instead of responding by telling them to call you, why don't you pick up the phone and call them to see how you can make the ongoing issue right? As you are reading here and read in her review, except for Crystal, you already made a tough journey even tougher and continue to do so. Although you can't change things you can stop the headaches by listening to them when they tell you something and following through with them vs continuing to give them headaches by not doing what they have repeatedly told you to do. Let me start by saying Dr. Alexander is skilled, but the staff especially the finance team is the worst. At the beginning, they act so soft and so cooperative but later they are so very rude when it comes to handling finance. Looks like they are there to ensure they get the maximum money out of you. When we ask for an explanation they are not helpful and never available to assist. In the name of insurance doesn't cover (Or state you are out of claiming your benefits) they end up charging that with huge bills on you. The pain of not getting pregnant adds to ensuring financial loss because of the bills that are sent to you. Sorry to say but specially want to say Katie and Kally are the most unprofessional people we have ever met in our life. It was almost always we felt like our queries were never answered. Infertility is a stressful situation and these guys add more stress. Please avoid MCRM else you will end up paying them with no gain. read more

I had a horrible experience as a single mother by choice and HIGHLY advise any single mothers by choice to go somewhere else. They do not put in consideration if you're doing this by yourself. They do not put in consideration if you have a history of infertility and miscarriage when it comes to testing. And they are QUICK to rush a decision on whether a pregnancy is non viable or not and to pop you up with drugs. This place is not for single mother's by choice. I AGAIN HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else if you're a single mother by choice or you don't have reliable people to help you. The only good thing about this place was my wonderful nurse Lindsay. MCRM has been a god send for my husband and I. You never expect to go through infertility struggles until it happens. We started our infertility struggles with another facility prior to MCRM, though they did help us diagnosis and treat some issues, we felt they never had a personal touch for us or our journey. I can say the complete opposite about MCRM from the very beginning. Our first appointment was so personal and allowed me to really gain a true understanding and plan for our journey and our end GOAL! Where do I start with how amazing everyone at MCRM is? From the second we walked in the door we were welcomed with open arms and loving hearts. Dr. Aubuchon was just straight forward and went into great detail of all the testing and what the best plan would be for us. Christina is the person who automatically makes you feel like you are friends. She was there every step of the way through questions, concerns and the stress. Ceara is the most soft spoken, sweet person I've ever met. She went into such great detail of everything that was being done or what we saw during ultrasounds. I started at Wash U and then decided to switch doctors. MCRM was my 3rd interview of doctors, I had several people tell me how great they are. After being a patient with them for a year I can say this is the place you should consider! Dr. A is great, but really it's his staff who make his practice amazing too. At each appointment from the receptionist to the ultrasound it was a pleasant process. I got to know so many great employees who work there. 0.5 stars. Dr. Ahlering was kind and knowledgeable, but my husband's and my experience with MCRM was pretty much a nightmare. We live in Tulsa and drove back and forth because Dr. Nilson sent us to Dr. Ahlering. I did IVF with PGS in my 20s and had 3 normal embryos. The first 2 transfers were unsuccessful, and the 3rd finally resulted in a pregnancy...and a subsequent miscarriage at 8 weeks. Throughout the whole process, the communication with the clinic was terrible, and I only ever heard from anyone over there when we owed money for something or if I was going to have a new IVF coordinator. I had 3 or 4 different ones, and no one ever seemed to know what was going on, like they didn't even care enough to look at my chart. After I miscarried the 3rd and final embryo, my latest coordinator didn't even reach out to say she was sorry to hear it (I'd just heard from her a couple days before)- I never heard from her again. I've had no further contact with MCRM, other than to get my medical records transferred somewhere else (and, of course, they sent us more bills). I'm currently 30 years old, and I'm 31 weeks pregnant with a baby boy through IVF on my first try with Tulsa Fertility, where I wish I'd started in the first place. read more

Great team! I have been there for a few months. My Primary doctor is Mira Aubuchon actually followed her all the way from Columbia, MO where I saw her for a few cycles. I have had Ahlering complete many ultrasounds during my IVF cycle! Both are great at what they do and they work their butts off to get you where you need to be! Very informative and very friendly! Let me start by saying Dr. Ahlering is skilled at what he does, however his staff is the worst. During the two years or so that I was going to MCRM I found the staff to be horrible specifically Shawnie, Susie, and Nancy. The fact that my husband and I needed to go to MCRM due to fertility issues should have been enough reason the staff should be more caring and compassionate. At times I felt like I was just a number and they were to busy to answer my questions whether it be via email or phone. There was a lot of miscommunication amongst the staff and overall they did not make me feel comfortable and I believe that's important when you are struggling with such a hard diagnosis. Infertility is a stressful situation and the office staff shouldn't bring any added stress. Proceed with caution with MCRM. I have since seen someone else and I'm so glad I did. read more

Very well organized clinic. I am still in the process of working with them, so I don't have information on outcomes, but their numbers are competitive nationally, so they clearly know what they're doing. Their clinic staff is very accessible and answers all of my (frequent and detailed) questions with patience and respect. They have tricks to help their patients save money on medications, which a prior clinic I talked with did not have (this can be the difference of thousands of dollars - those medications are $$$). They adjust their regimens based on what each specific patient needs rather than taking a 'one sized fits all' approach. I have been working with them out of Tulsa, OK as Dr. Ahlering comes out to Tulsa and coordinates with my OB to monitor my progress, with the egg retrieval and transfer done in St Louis. By going through this office instead of the local clinic that I originally started at, I am saving a considerable amount of money in addition to being treated better (based on my experience). I recommend this clinic to women in Tulsa looking for a fertility clinic who may not be satisfied with the local options, and I'm sure they are even easier to work with if you are in town (no travel!). read more
