Apparently in your haste of being so excited to see the Sheepdogs live you forgot to research the fact that the above was most certainly the case and that without participating in Rock95's contest you would not be able to join in on their party. The best part about this review is it appears you left just as much as an impression on me as I did on you. I remember you folks were the only people who were rude to me that night. Out of the thousand + people I welcomed into that private party you made sure that you would not be forgotten. Unlike your false review here are some actual facts: 1. I am approx 30 years old and weigh 180lbs. I enjoy the people I work with and typically work these private parties due to my calm demeanor and overall professionalism. 2. So when we drove by to park, the line up was insane. We decided to chill out for a bit until the line died down. After 25minutes or so we walk towards the place. When we get to the door the lanky jerk tells us 'sorry, closed for a birthday'. Straight up LIES. We laughed at first, thinking he was kidding. After telling him that we are here for the concert, he agreed (again, rude & confusing seems to be the theme in Barrie) he tells us 'sorry private party only'. At this point Rock95 staff walk in and one old leather skin guy made a joke about how we were with him so he should let us in. He was 80. Is this what goes down here? I gotta get an 80yr old to convince this loser to let me in at a FREE concert? Seriously? When we started to question why he wasn't letting us in he decided to spin another lie 'only winners are allowed". Winners? What the antiseptic firewall is this kid talking about? Forget that we travelled from Mississauga, forget that we planned our weekend around this concert, forget that it's freezing outside ,but to lie to us like we were a bunch of teenagers is just ridiculous. What a fun country bar!!!…read more My friends & I arrived at 8:00 p.m. for the line dancing lessons on a Saturday evening. The security at the front door kept looking at my ID then me. He eventually handed it back to me and said that they put the wrong age on my ID. How flattering! LOL! I was told that the cover is $5 which I didn't believe because almost nothing cost that little anymore so I made sure I had more cash on hand. It's true!!! Another amazing thing they do here is for any designated drivers, they don't charge you for the sodas, OJ and cranberry juice. The lessons started out at intermediate level & even the line dances after the lessons I've never seen or done before so to resolve that issue, I just started requesting the ones I know and DJ Mike happily put those ones on for me. They usually switch over to a regular club night around 11:00 p.m. however this night, he played country songs until 11:30-11:45 p.m. as he said there were a lot of line dancers tonight. Everyone I spoke to there (bartenders, DJs, etc.) was friendly & I really enjoyed my time there. When we left around 12:30 a.m., there was still a huge line outside although the place was already pretty busy inside. NOTE: They only accept cash (cover & bar) so make sure you come prepared.

After she delivered the beers they placed 2 orders for the rib special that was on the sign outside, the waitress told them, that it was for Monday only. My parents told her, that nowhere on the sign did it say Monday only, and since it was their first time there, they had no idea what the daily specials were . The waitress said that she would go and check to see if they could get the rib deals. After about 15 minutes, a man approached their table and said 'can I help you'? My mom answered 'I'm not sure, are you the chef'? The guy answered no, so my mom asked him if he was the manager, and he said yes, never giving his name at all. They tried to explain that they saw the advertising for the rib special, and decided to try some place new, and nowhere did it say Monday's only, and it was false advertising if that was the case. The manager took the beer's that was sitting on the their table, (unfinished) and said GET OUT. My mom said 'excuse me?" and the manager repeated GET OUT. She told him that they have never been kicked out of a restaurant ever, and that she is a Chef with the CCFCC. He said, 'well isn't that good for you'. My parents got up from their table and left the establishment. She phoned me after it had happened to tell me this crazy story of my parents being kicked out of a sports bar. I have never heard of such a thing, most managers are willing to work with the customers to make sure the customer is happy, never once did he say that he was sorry, or try and offer them another option. I am highly disappointed and shocked that this is the business attitude of an establishment in Barrie.

I contacted the company that hosts the trivia, PubStumpers, but they seemed more concerned with persuading me that the pay-to-win mechanic was acceptable, rather than listening to my objection. The trivia IS fun, but now it is only fun if you don't mind that a game of skill and chance is now about skill, chance, and how much extra money you are willing to pay. Very disappointing for trivia enthusiasts.
