Scarpacci Ristorante is nearby so I went there. When I got there at 6pm, there was just just me and another fella. Here's the view from my table in the corner. There isn't a lot of choice on the menu. I orderd the whole wheat penne with Italian sausage in a tomato basil sauce. It arrived in about five minutes. Hmmm ... that should have been my first clue. I despise parm cheese. Usually with pasta, you are asked if you want some. This came with it already on top so I scraped it off as best I could. The sauce was okay. The pasta was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overcooked to the point of being mushy ... not enjoyable at all. The sausage was good and garlic bread was okay. Needless to say, I didn't eat it all. Tim, the server, was very attentive and made sure I was well taken care of. I didn't have the heart to complain to him. I should have ordered in pizza.

I checked into the hotel and decided to check out the Italian restaurant for dinner later. When I walked in and asked for a menu, the man told me that I would find one in my room. When I asked if he kept any in the restaurant, he hesitantly pulled one out at the bar. Then I asked if I could show it to my wife in the car he said "NO! TOO MANY MENUS DISAPPEARING FROM HERE! YOU KNOW THE HOTEL DOES NOW THIS RESTAURANT. I was a little surprised at his response... Then he goes on to say these menus are 50 dollars, use the one in the room! This guy turned me off so much, I'm glad the keg was down the street. What a poisoned environment.

Outstanding food and service - just like in all other The Keg locations we've been to. Weekends and…read moreevenings are always busy, but our walk-in wait time wasn't too long (~10 minutes). Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable in all the menu items (glad that she alerted that the pistachio-crusted roasted salmon would come with maple butter, so I could order the dish without it / put it on the side). I love that all menu items are customizable in all The Keg locations (can sub in, take out, or add certain ingredients or add-ons such as vegetables). They always have at least 1 vegetarian main dish on the menu, which tends to change every once in a while. We tried their most recent one, The Harvest Bowl, which consisted of basmati rice, falafels, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and spiced yogurt. It was alright. They provided the option of choosing how I wanted the roasted salmon to be cooked (e.g. medium, medium well, well done, etc.) - always great to have that choice. The broccoli and mixed vegetables (which I asked as a substitute for the mashed potatoes) were excellent, as always.

We started with a fresh and delicious saladl. But the true pièce de résistance was the steak. It was cooked to my liking (medium) and lovely flavors. The tenderness and quality of the meat were evident in every bite. What impressed me most, however, was the great service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Overall, our experience at The Keg Steakhouse was truly unforgettable. If you are a steak lover like me, do yourself a favor and book a table ASAP! It was tasty, but I find a bit overpriced Sweet Chili Ribs- $21 (5-6 bones or 1lb) - Nice and tender ribs, can't complain except you hope for more. Short Rib Pappardelle- $34 - Really nice portion and generous amount of short rib boneless meat. Menu is a tad over priced, but I can't deny it tastes good. Not overly salty or oily as bar food often is, and I actually really enjoyed their pasta. It's definitely a great place to go for a bit of a splurgy night with friends where you're prepared to pay $20-40 per person. I like it for a date night to have some heavier foods that I wouldn't want to try cooking at home. The short rib pappardelle was the best. I love the flavour and it's not too crazy heavy, even though it looks really creamy. It has very beef stew type vibes. The chicken wings were well cooked and still moist. I think it was too much flavour going on though. You LOVE the first and even second wing. But by the third one, I felt like it was getting too heavy. I know though that a lot of people love that and can't get enough of it. I personally don't like too much of any one thing. The brussel sprouts I felt the same. It's really yum for the first few bites but it gets really heavy after a while. I think it's really fun to have the appetizers and share a main with someone. The foods are a bit heavier, more of a flavour bomb, but everything is executed well and the staff are really nice! We've even done take out and the portions were very much the same.
