She is incredibly knowledgeable and is also very good at explaining complex medical issues in a way that I can understand. My autoimmune disease had been misdiagnosed for more than 12 years before I came to Dr. Johnston. She knew exactly which labs, imaging, and other testing to order, and she was able to correctly diagnose a condition that my previous doctors had been telling me was something completely different. Since then, she has worked with me to find the biologic that works best for me, which has made a real difference in my mobility and overall quality of life. Just as importantly, I've always felt that Dr. Johnston listens to me and takes my concerns seriously. When something changes or a new problem comes up, I know I can ask questions and get thoughtful guidance rather than feeling rushed or dismissed. Her staff are wonderful as well. Everyone in the office is kind and helpful, and they even remember my name when I come in, which makes the office feel especially welcoming. Dr. Johnston's medical assistant is always helpful and responsive, and the staff are exceptionally good at navigating the complicated process of getting biologic medications approved by insurance. They also know how to help patients find assistance programs when medications aren't covered or are otherwise unaffordable. Managing a chronic autoimmune disease can be complicated, and having a physician and office staff who are both knowledgeable and genuinely helpful makes an enormous difference. I'm very grateful to have found Dr. Johnston and her team.

It's gonna longer to get it back into the proper place because the body memory doesn't want to change but to fall back to the wrong position. So this takes time!! Dr. Porter ran a much more complete blood panel than was done by my internist. Based on those results she prescribed a diet that restricts carbohydrates. She took a lot of time explaining things and answered all questions that I had. Though it seems counter-intuitive, with continued exercise and the new diet the cholesterol and triglycerides are now near normal. I visited my previous internist for annual physical. She was surprised with the improved numbers and no longer felt I needed to go on anti-cholesterol meds. I was told by my neurologist that I must take Vitamin D- I am very pleased that Whole Health offers the dose that he prescribed and that it's available in a single capsule. The available doses at the drug store required that I take 14 capsules to attain the dose he prescribed. I highly recommend Dr. Porter!

I had been a patient of Dr. Porter's for several years and saw her at least annually…read more Unfortunately, my experience in April 2026 left me disappointed enough that I have decided not to return. I paid $400 for what was scheduled as a 30-minute appointment, but my actual time with Dr. Porter was less than 15 minutes. During that brief visit, she ordered lab work, which I had drawn in the office for an additional $50. When I later called the office to get the results of those tests, I was told that I would need to schedule another appointment--and pay another $400--to have the results reviewed with me. During that same call, I asked to speak with the office manager because I felt I was essentially being charged twice to complete what I considered one episode of care, particularly since the initial $400 appointment had been so brief. I explained my concern and asked whether an exception could be made this time. I also explained that, going forward, I would gladly have my labs drawn before my appointment so the results could be discussed during the 30 minutes I was already paying for. Unfortunately, I found the office manager's response to be curt and dismissive. She stated that this was the office policy. I then asked if she would please take my concern to Dr. Porter for reconsideration, as Dr. Porter would recall how brief our appointment had been. The office manager agreed to do so but indicated that the answer would most likely be the same. She called me back the following day and confirmed that Dr. Porter would still require me to schedule and pay $400 for another appointment to review the results. I understand that every medical practice has its policies and fee structure, and I have no issue paying a premium for personalized, high-quality care. What disappointed me was paying $400 for a 30-minute appointment that lasted less than half that time and then being required to pay another $400 to discuss the resulting lab work, with no flexibility when I raised what I felt was a reasonable concern. After several years as a patient, I expected a more patient-centered response. Unfortunately, this experience changed my perception of the practice and ultimately resulted in my decision to seek care elsewhere.

Dr David Sugar, lacks empathy…read more Myself and wife are both patients of Dr David Sugar. Previously we had a problem with Dr Sugar's staff he said to us "if you ever have a problem again, come see me and I'll take care of it". Starting two weeks ago my wife started to suffer with severe pain in her arm and shoulder. Not knowing what it was, she first visited our GP who diagnosed the condition tendonitis and suggested she visit out orthopedist, Dr David Sugar. After trying unsuccessfully for over a week, we decided that we would go to Dr Sugar's office without an appointment and wait to see him. We got there at 12:30 and was advised that if we didn't have an appointment she would not been seen by the Doctor. She explained the severity of the pain and said she would wait to see the Doctor. Fast forward 5 hours when the office manager again told us that Dr Sugar would not see her. My wife then said she only wanted to talk to him. She was told no. Though she was offered an appointment 2 days later, it became obvious it was just a ploy to get us to leave because early the next morning, we received call saying that we could no longer receive medical care from Dr Sugar and that our records were to be transferred to another doctor's office. Obviously Dr Sugar forgot his telling us "if you ever have a problem again, come see me and I'll take care of it". He did not even show the empathy one expects from a Doctor, but even from a decent man. He did not, and could not, find 5 minutes for long time patient in pain

It was more than I expected. Apparently these are new owners. Dr Danielle is amazing. I've had a lot of chiropractic care. I used to belong to a chiropractic "club "where I could get nearly unlimited adjustments, so I am not new to the experience. But this was different. He took the time to LISTEN and actually try to solve for the problem. I was in the area for a vacation, my only regret is that I can't come back regularly. I've been a nurse for over 20 years, a long with that career comes a plethora of somatic complaints.... low back pain, foot pain, and a just general discomfort and low energy from a live well lived. Dr. Danielle recommended I see Daphna his nurse practitioner. Not going to lie, at first I thought, maybe he was trying to upsell me some services, but after speaking with her I ended up opting for some additional services. I suggest looking into stem cell treatment for chronic pain management. I'm not trying to end up in a nurse Jackie situation, (IYKYK) but living with chronic pain is at times unbearable. It's great that there is a practice out here offering non-narcotic options that provide real relief. While I was here, I also spoke with them about my low energy levels and some general issues I was having. Daphna gave me a B12 injection that left me feeling like I haven't spent a lifetime on night shift. I'm not sure where all of the negative reviews are coming from, but I highly doubt they are a result of anything going on in the office currently. This office is clean, courteous, professional, and offering cutting edge services that aren't available at this price point anywhere else in the area 10/10 recommend going in for a consultation and leaving feeling like a million bucks without dropping a whole bag.
