After my husband accepted the bid and he accepted the job we were told we were a few weeks out. It is Nov. 1 and still our roof has not been replaced. Every time my husband has called he has been told the same thing a few week's out. When my husband called last week he was told "there are 4 roofs ahead of yours." I entered into a contract agreement with him, where I was required to pay a deposit of 50%. This contractor ran with $6500 without doing any work. He has avoided all contact with me. Research your contractors, make sure they are fully licensed and bonded and make sure to check your references. I lost $6500 because I trusted someone without investigating his company first.
