I think mid 20's which was ok for a littke while. After about an hour into it my ears and fongers were starting to feel numb. The indoor recreation center had not opened yet and I think that would have been better fun for everyone. They do a great job in terms of the maintenace andnthere was also no trash around like what younwoukd see at some other parks in the city. Plus this park and rec center was ckose to where we were at. There's a massive covered pavilion area that would be perfect for group meetups or a picnic in the shade. And while it was still closed for the season, the splash pad/water park area looked like fun! The first recommendation was this one. We pulled up and found street parking immediately. My little pumpkin had the playground to herself for about 30 mins and then she came down the slide to 20 or so kids. That's when the real fun began. As adults, sadly we forget how it feels to be a child and experience the wind in our hair as we fly on a slide or swing. Our desensitized bodies, having driven cars and flown in planes, forget the sensation of speed from our youth, which at the time is the fastest, most thrilling thing we can know. Kudos to the makers of this playground and all the folks who create play environments that transport children into magical adventures.

There's a small parking lot in the front and trails that lead to an actual recreation center, fields and a playground that doubles as a splash park in the summer. My four-year-old daughter loved the playground. It's modeled after an Indigenous American village along the Potomac River with slides, etc. For being in a wealthy neighborhood, it's a little run down, but still a lot of fun. If you like quirky art, take the small dirt path to the right when facing the parking lot. Walk a few yards to a small opening in the forest to find the "Glass Forest" with art hanging on the trees. It's a little creepy, but also quirky!

There were lots around but no one was telling their kid to not throw pieces of the ground at people. My son was excited about the slide....until he was trampled while going down it by 4 kids (at least 8 years old so they should know better anyways) running up the slide. This hasn't ever been an issue before since caretakers are usually at least sort of watching their kids but nope not here. Overall the equipment was boring and the playground way beyond capacity, particularly during these times. Not a fan, won't be back.

Rocky Run park is a great spot for all age groups and is very spread out so it never seems too…read morecrowded. Located in North Arlington, parking is on the street and can be tricky to find. There are several different areas of the park including two playgrounds. The big kid area has a large ropes course and tunnel slide (which was barricaded off at this time. The little kid area has some digging areas, musical elements, but very simplistic features. There are a few songs too. Bathrooms are available between the two playgrounds. In the lower part of the park is a gigantic turf field. You can play soccer, hockey , or just sit out in the sun. There are two sets of basketball courts one of which has a volleyball net too. There are some tables around for seating and there is a great track around the turf for bike riding. We definitely plan to return again soon!
