I got a couple of local quotes from businesses off of yelp, but they were so high & unreasonable & couldn't even start my project for months. I reached out to California Builders & they had someone draining my pool within days, after 4 days, my pool went from ruin to what now looks like a resort pool & for super reasonable pricing. Thank you, Chris & your California Builders team, can't wait for our next project. I contacted CA Builders after one of my front retaining walls was knocked over from the snow storm…read morelast year. I had Chris out for a quote and he was able to facetime and walk through the job site remotely and give an initial bid. I also had him check around the house for any other damage as well as some deck re-enforcements. Chris uncovered quite a bit of dry rot on the backside of the property and it was clear it needed to be addressed asap. Within a week his team had ripped out all the old decking/ledger board/trim and replaced everything up to code. It went so smooth, I also asked him to re-adjust our heavy custom wood doors that have gone out of whack over the years and needed all new weatherstripping. I also had him replace the front light fixtures and build custom replicas of the existing wood mounts. The wall was rebuilt perfectly and looks better than before. I wish I would have done the other side. Overall I was extremely happy with Chris and team, his communication level is A+. He documented everything with photos, texts and calls along the way. The team was on site until completion and everything was wrapped up in a few weeks. My doors are like new again, wall looks great and all the dry rot has been addressed. I'll definitely be using California Builders again.

Her approach to work was very pleasing as she treated me like family, and not just a customer! She handled everything for me and made the process go smooth. Casey and Chloe were amazing to work with every day. They were able to bring Cassandra's designs to life. Casey knows how to do it all and he also treated us like family! His attention to detail is by far superior as he was able to ensure things were done correctly. He made sure to be here on days sub contractors came and ensured everything ran smoothly. He also made some suggestions on things we could change based on his years of knowledge and keeping in mind my current lifestyle. I appreciated his honest feedback, his respect towards the sentimental value I have with things in my house and his willingness to also teach me a few things a long the way! We are minimalists but with nice tastes, and Micaiah designed our home to just that. My husband and I are not rich people, so he made renderings that are to be either used right away, or done at a later date to help spread our money out. He not only does the design and renderings, but he helped us find our floor guy (and we love our floors!), furniture, shades, paint, etc. He knew we are on a budget, so he worked with our budget to find things that are affordable and sustainable. Our home is still coming together as we are spreading our money out, but once it is 80% finished, I will definitely post photos. Micaiah is so easy to work with and I highly recommend him!

Laura did not disappoint. We now have a gorgeous kitchen that functions better and that we are proud to show off to friends and family. Every element goes together beautifully; the granite counters are gorgeous, the modern sink and faucet are a joy to use, the painted cabinets look like new and we wonder why we didn't utilize hardware on the cabinets long ago. The backsplash is beautiful and sparkly. The old-fashioned florescent ceiling is replaced by modern can lights. Creative battery operated under-cabinet lighting is budget friendly. The artistic pendant light matches well with the hardware and new appliances. All the craftsman Laura contracted with did a great job and the one issue we had related to the granite was resolved to our satisfaction. She was there to oversee the work during all stages. We even trusted her to run everything while we took a 2 week vacation. That actually is a great way to do it. Pre-plan everything with Laura and go on an extended vacation. Ask Laura about how that could work. It may work out perfectly and your remodel is complete when you return. Even if it takes longer, at least it's less time you've had to live through a remodel. We highly recommend Laura at Serenite Interiors. She'll make your living spaces serene:-)

Looking back, I wished I had taken advantages of all of her amazing ideas and suggestions instead of holding back due to my own fears.
