I'm writing this for reference in case I was given the wrong fuel. Today, 6/27/2017, I used my credit card and selected 91 as my car only takes 91...my car was on empty so I figured it would take about 15 gallons. It was strange, as The pump capped me at $35 (about 12.5 gallons). No big deal, but then I noticed when I printed the receipt it stated 87 fuel! Wth!!!! As you can imagine, I was upset and concerned that my car would develop some type issue until the 87 fuel was used completely (such as an engine knock). I Spoke to the cashier who then went to get the manager. Supposedly I selected 91 but got charged for 87. Not sure if I should believe him. He put the out of service bag over the nozzle and went back inside. read more

I read all the complaints of this Shell gas station but for me, I didn't have any problems here! The staff were nice and friendly, the pump I used was working good. I do feel like the place could use a bit of cleaning, maybe because there's so much construction going on around there. Either way it was a good experience for me here. read more

I can't believe I actively sought out this gas station on Yelp because it is just that awful. Avoid at all costs if you can! This gas station is in desperate need of an update. The pumps are ancient and do not work well, credit card reader at the pump do not work at all so you will have to go in to pay, more than often there is a long line because everyone needs to go in to pay, workers are slow, they do not accept reward card even though they advertise it, and there is always questionable people lurking around by the freeway! Stay away!!!! The car was does not work and you will not get a refund from the gas station office. While driving through the area we went in for a drive through car wash in this Shell. The car wash entrance was all decorated with balloons, we paid for a super car wash and went in but the car wash won't start. We went in to the office and told the only employee there that we paid for the car was but it is not working. He refused to give a refund even though he agreed that the car wash was defective. The excuse was his manager wasn't there??? They should have put a closed sign on the car wash so customers don't end up paying for something that did not work. The employee asked us to come next day for a refund but that was not possible for people who are driving through. I can't tell if this is an elaborate ploy to defraud customers or if it's just that the don't care. We will be disputing with our credit card company but I would advice all customers to stay away. I just came from this Shell station. I went to two other Shell Stations first to use my Shell gift card that had $25 on it. At the pump both stations said "see cashier". This gas station is closer to my house so I thought that I would try my card here. Once again, the pump said "see cashier". So this time I went inside and I told cashier I would like $25 on #8. Then I told the cashier that I tried my card at two other Shell stations and it didn't work there either. I asked him if he knew why. He said, "it's because you're having an unlucky day". Who tells their customer that?!!!! Also, while I was pumping gas, two people came up to me asking for money. This place gives Shell a bad reputation. This gas station advertises a free birthday car wash. My wife called and confirmed this morning that the offer was still good and the car wash was open. We drove all the way to the gas station and upon asking the cashier for the free birthday car wash was told it was no longer valid. We asked for the manager and the manager was told he was not there and the cashier told us that he can't give us the managers name. We believe that the cashier was the manager since when my wife called in she was tod that the manager was arriving in a few minutes. I come here 1-3 times a week. I'm reconsidering this now. I'm always being approached by someone selling tire shine. I feel like I have to pay quick and hide in my car. This last weekend , some guy comes up to wash my windshield as a complimentary service. My husband said fine without my knowledge not realizing I'd gotten a car wash a few days earlier. My windshield was filthy after! Thanks for nothing. May as well have smeared mud on my windshield. I'm going to find a new gas station. Enough is enough. This is the only gas station I'll ever go to in riverside. They have great prices of gas for a shell gas station. Even though I live off la Sierra and have to go east bound and not west, I'll still get my gas here. Good quality gas for a good price. read more

Why won't this place let you pay with a debit card at the pump? EVERY TIME I tried to get gas with a debit card it says to see the cashier. WHY DO I HAVE TO SEE THE CASHIER?!!! The one time I went to see the cashier they asked if I wanted to put $40 in. NO, I want to fill up my tank. I fill it up to keep track of my mileage and just putting in $40 will not give me an accurate reading from a FULL TANK. I tried to use my credit card after cancelling the previous transaction. I then tried to use my credit card and THAT transaction was cancelled from the inside. BOTH transactions I tried to use my fuel rewards card. I guess this station doesn't want to give customers a break on gas. The other thing about this place is the misleading pricing on their price boards. It shows that regular unleaded is 10 cents cheaper if you get a car wash. If you look in REALLY SMALL PRINT, you HAVE to buy the most expensive car wash for $10 to get that 10 cent per gallon price reduction. I've tried to give this place some business but since they want to screw over the customer, I'll take my business to a different gas station. IF I could, I'd leave ZERO STARS. Wow what a pown! The outside sign reads about $3.50 per gallon, we get to the pump and it says $3.70. My friend went inside to talk to the cashier who said, and I quote, "in fine print below the sign it reads with Deluxe Car Wash". No thank you! Worst Gas Station Ever! I would definitely give this negative stars if I could. they will not respect the fuel rewards and cancel your transaction if they think the reward is too high! this doesnt happen when I only have three cents per gallon to use. One man told me I had to buy my groceries and my gas seperately and he would not tell me why. Ive always done it that way before and also after that one transaction. This place should just get shut down, or maybe have an entire management replacement. I should not have to worry about if Im getting played out of my rewards by these guys or not. I will be going to other gas stations, I like Shell but there is a cheaper station down the street and most other shells around are more expensive! I love shell gas stations usually. This one is GROSS! very dirty and cramped inside, cluttered, Nowhere to really stand, especially with long lines there always seems to be. It is very poorly lit as well. The Windshield Wiper fluid is either always gone or completely black with gunk and almost vomit inducing. The whole location is an eyesore and just should be bulldozed. This service station is the WORST in all the IE. I'd almost rather run out of gas than even use this one out of desperation. The service is horrible and the joint is always nasty and run down. If you use fuel rewards and have a discount, the pump will cancel your transaction and make you go inside. Once inside, you will have to remember to tell them before they charge you about the rewards. They won't ask and they will attempt to process your prepay without rewards because then you are stuck at regular price per gallon. I have also had several visits here where they tell you your card is declined even though you know your card is fine. I think they do it just to get you to process payment via cash. It's literally only business in Corona where something like that happens. The staff is super rude and act like they are doing you a favor...hello, you sort of need the customer in order to have business and make money. The place stinks and there is always trash and debris around outside. The inside is small and doesn't look much better. If you need air for your tires, beware they do charge and you don't get as long as you are supposed to. Also, their gas prices are way high! You can find gas for as much as 10 cents a gallon cheaper with a few tenths of a mile in either direction on McKinley. Steer clear and fight the urge to utilize this station. read more

Debit card transactions constantly failing at the pumps and unable to use rewards almost every time i visit. Restrooms are always occupied by homeless or drug users. Asked the employee about the pump issue and they seemed to be very familiar with the issue and said it was because the systems are outdated as if it is something that isn't cared about and customers just have to deal with. We have Ralph's Gas Rewards that work at every other Shell station, except this one. They could not accept the input at the pump or even manually walking in at the register. Add to that the fact that their restroom didn't work and add to that an issue with a language barrier with the cashier trying to explain that the facilities were out of service, this just was not a good experience. Then when she took out the $20, she asked for it back, I asked her why and she said there's a $1.29 charge for cash back. I said why didn't you tell me that earlier? Just a regular gas station so not much to review. lol Pretty busy gas station and a pain in the ass if youre heading South on McKinley because its a merge light to turn into the gas station... the turn can be a bitch if there is traffic. If you're hungry and desperate there are some not so healthy foods inside. Even though I don't use it, they have those "drive-thru" car washes. Disgusting! I pulled off the freeway to get gas. I was told I had to pay a quarter to use the restroom after putting $75 in gas in my truck. The restroom toilet was full to the brim and there was trash everywhere all over the floor. When I told the lady attendant, all she said was "the guy that was supposed to clean it at 7 didn't show up." Seriously? That is the last cent they will ever get from me. Don't go here! Looking for a western union find one with sign posted all over at the shell by my house. Hours say until 9pm. Guys at the register aren't able to do it and say the only person capable called off of work... why is only 1 person able to perform something that is supposed to be done until 9pm when it's only 6pm... this is ridiculous and completely upsetting.
