We had never heard of this store until my husband was doing a search on Facebook for places that had sofas for RVs. I had recently had surgery, and needed a sofa, or two chairs, that had electric foot rests. It needed to be a specific size for our camper. When we met Lucas, he really was listening to what we wanted. I was using a walker, and he was so kind to make sure I was comfortable. He showed us so many options, and dragged them to electric outlets so we could try them out. He answered all of our questions and really knew the products. We ended up buying a new sofa and two chairs for our camper. They were exactly what we needed. We were able to go home and pick up our trailer to pick up our items. We also wandered around the store a lot and found so many things that we were happy to see that they carried. Those weird parts that are hard to find, fun items that you don't need, but really want, and other things we didn't know we needed or wanted. We will definitely be returning to the store. Lucas, thank you for being amazing, and dealing with people who had very specific needs.

Then, everything was ordered in advance, arrived on time, and was installed promptly. Then, when I arrived, Perry spent over two hours walking me through all the features and gadgets of the boat. Salt water? I live in the midwest. I tried to plead with them and asked for the manager which they said was out of town so I paid the 370 bucks to have them clean one terminal on a dashboard switch. And then gave me a price of 1600 bucks to clean the rest which I didnt have them do OBVIOUSLY. I called Bennington and they agreed that this place was ripping me off. I then called the manager (Matt) who informed me that he doesn't know why his people would tell me this and agreed to refund my credit card which I thought was commendable. That refund took 4 weeks and several phone calls to finally get my money back. Im not sure why they are treating boaters like this. Maybe they know my ex wife? I will never go back here again and I warn anyone who I can to do the same. Beware! I posted some pictures of the terminals that this place said was completely corroded from saltwater. You tell me.

Extremely Disappointed - Poor Service and Follow-Up…read more I purchased a brand-new Bennington from The Boathouse in Elkhorn, Wisconsin after attending the boat show in January. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating from start to finish. When the boat was delivered on Mother's Day, it arrived dirty and covered in bird droppings--not at all what you expect when buying a new boat. The fuel gauge wasn't working properly at delivery either. Although the delivery person said the tank was full, it only registered at 50%. The Boathouse arranged to pick it up later to fix the issue, but when it was returned, the problem persisted. During another attempt to repair the tank, a technician broke a part and tried to replace it by getting parts locally instead of returning the boat to the shop. Even after those efforts, the gas gauge continued to malfunction, constantly showing inaccurate readings. Later in the season, the shut-off switch for the key came off, and when I contacted The Boathouse, they said it wasn't covered under warranty and that I'd have to pay $250 for the part. The part they sent was wrong--not once, but twice. Out of frustration, I contacted another authorized Bennington dealer, who informed me that everything was covered under warranty and that The Boathouse should have handled the repairs properly from the beginning. The new dealer fixed everything promptly, and Bennington covered all the costs. I worked primarily with Joseph Bishop and Matt, and there was no meaningful follow-up or accountability from either of them. I would never purchase from or recommend The Boathouse in Elkhorn again. My advice--go elsewhere if you want a dealer who values customer service and stands behind their products.
