But it's the perfect location to gather with a group of friends who want to come and go, open-house style. Pizza, drinks, and alcohol are offered via food truck. The space is scenic with a view of the water, and it's cozy as well with couches, chairs, and picnic tables. During cooler temps, firepits are an option. A parking lot is available, but parking can be found on side streets too.

There is a playground area with a very cool sculpture that you can climb and slide on. It has little people sculptures all over it that are fun to discover. There are chairs and benches and port-a Johns, and a restroom in the building too. There is even a dog park. The trail has been extended since my last visit, and goes all the way to Sharpsburg. The only thing I don't like is the big ugly cellphone tower, but I suppose it's a necessary evil. Overall, a very nice place to come and hang out and relax ... Cheers!

Most of the employees are very nice and helpful, and there is a great sense of community among boaters. It is very expensive, though, and keeps going up every year. It's the only dry stacking marina in town, though, so people pay it. The marina owner has actually told customers that if they didn't like something (like wanting something to be fixed, or inquiring about the dent in their boat), they can go somewhere else (and many do); he has a waiting list to get in. So you can tell that due to lack of competition, the customer service and work ethic from the top is very lacking. It is also very disappointing that for all that money, the bathrooms are really dirty. As one example, sorry to get graphic, but I used the restroom one day, and there were some, um, remnants in the toilet. I went back the next day, and the remnants were still there. So if that was still visible, I assume they didn't clean anything in the bathroom at all. You can tell that they are rarely cleaned, and this is a big problem for me. Also, it is a safety issue that a lot of the dock lights are burned out, and have been all summer. Many of the dock planks also need to be changed; they are a tripping and splinter hazard. It's a good location with a nice sense of community, and good potential, but the marina really needs to focus on basic maintenance.

I have never had a problem parking either in the adjacent lot or across the street which is their lot also. The boat has always been ready on time and the dock staff is second to none. I have used their service department a few times and once again they are excellent. Prices - well you can always complain about them but I find them reasonable for the service rendered. I had my boat put back on the trailer today and everything was ready to go. The staff was on spot and worked as a good team. The boat needs TLC that I wanted to give it from home so the boat will winter at my house instead of Washington's Landing. But I have no hesitation about giving Washington's Landing my recommendation.

This was my first time parking in this garage. Normally, I always park in the First Avenue Garage…read morefor easy access off I-376, cheapest parking rates, and access to the lightrail "T" on the 3rd level to get to all places. However, with recent shutdowns of the "T" for repairs, I needed an alternative. This garage is close to theaters in the area and, in particular, to Peirce Studio, the one we needed on Liberty Ave. They have a flat rate of $8 as of this posting for evenings so it makes it comparable to best parking options. The downside was a confusing situation and the guy parking in front of me wanting me and everyone behind me to back up at the entry gate. Why? Because of signage at the entrance indicating it was full except for lease holders. Fortunately, after a few minutes of said confusion and any of us being unable to backup in traffic of pedestrians, busses, and cars, a staff member came out and simply turned the sign around so that its verbiage allowed entry. Whew! Other than that, parking was a-ok BUT I am not sure I want to be at the mercy of a sign to know whether I can or cannot park there.

The entrances on both sides make it convenient to get into, and the rates are pretty standard for the city, especially on the weekends. My only real complaint is that the layout inside is a bit tight and dated, so navigating the tight turns can be annoying during busy event hours. Overall, it gets the job done without too much fuss, but it isn't anything fancy.
