Amazing park. Outdoor running paths, bike paths and hills to jump. Tons of kids slides and climbing areas.

Mckay Lake is a scenic moderately sized body of water right off the road near Westminster. It has a small parking area and a nice path around the lake. It can be a bit muddy but has a great surface otherwise. The lake itself is around two miles around and has a variety of wildlife. We saw a coyote and several hawks. It's located on several people's backyards, so some parts get a little invasive into their privacy. Nonetheless, it's a good option for a walk or other exercise. Horses and dogs are allowed.

Great place for a quick after work walk! Went around 6 pm and it wasn't crowded at all. Pretty buggy near the water, but overall a great little loop!

Found this really cool spot to cure some summer boredom for the kids. The playground is really unique and built into the landscape. There are two bike ramp areas, one for little kids and one for everyone else. There's a lake, a trial, picnic area, honestly it's pretty awesome. On complaint was not enough shade near the playground. We didn't last long because they got so hot (it's Colorado so direct sun is a guarantee!)

Mckay lake is a great spot to walk, hike or bike. A 1.5-mile trail encircles the lake. The north side of the lake is dominated by a wonderful grove of mature cottonwood trees. The trail passes through this area and leads to a floating fishing pier which has great lake and mountain views. A trail head parking lot is located on the north side of the lake at the southwest corner of 144th Avenue and Tejon Street.

This is a great place to walk your dog. They have a bike park for kids that looks like a lot of fun. Beautiful view of the mountains.
