This company was awesome! We were selling our cabin in Big Bear Lake and needed a termite inspection done. They went up the next day to do the inspection. They delivered the report the same day and went out the very next day to do the treatment and repairs we needed. They were honest unlike the primary company most use for these services in Big Bear! I bought a house and McIver's Exterminators where the contractors that removed the door and frame to the garage. Along with termites which I highly doubt termites were removed. I asked them to come out because the door they installed did not close or open, they should have put a metal or at minimum an aluminum door. The owner gave me attitude and refused to help me with this issue! The frame still has termites, door does not close, and they just do sloppy work. This is the second time I had to post this, since the last review was deleted. Please see invoice to see evidence I wouldn't do business with them as they do not do good work or honor the warranty. read more

I have had monthly service from McIvers exterminators for over 27 years. I live on a one acre property, nestled among many acres of orange groves. My home is over 100 years old with many 50 foot tall king palms and large oak and camphor trees. When we first moved here we were over run with spiders, ants and rodents. Within a couple of months of using McIver's they had the problem under control. Sometimes when the weather changes I may see some pest activity outside of my home. GREAT WORK, NO BUGS, VERY FRIENDLY!! We have been using McIver's for about 2 years now and we went from feeling like we were living on an enormous an ant hill that rented rooms to spiders and pincher bugs to pretty much BUG FREE right after the first service!! We stared the Bi monthly service after that first spray and its been amazing. One month we were seeing a little to many spiders and pincher bugs around... nothing really crazy but l we gave them a call and they came right out and fixed the issue free of charge. I've tried a couple of other companies before finding these guys (McIver's Exterminators), the other companies I tried either made me feel scammed (ants and spiders were still a problem) or their customer service just sucked. Anyways, finally found this company (McIver's Exterminators), their customer service is awesome and the guy that comes and sprays the house is always pleasant! Not only that, but the stuff they spray actually works, I haven't had an ant or spider problem since I've hired them! Their pricing is reasonable and well worth every penny, I definitely don't miss the trail of ants that would invade my house (inside and out). Okay, so this review is longer than expected (I'm sorry) but I'm puzzled as to why they don't have many reviews on here. I've recommended this company to my family and coworkers. When I bought my home the only pest problem I had before hiring these guys were ants and spiders, but the other people I've referred had worse problems than me - rat and/or flea infestation! I am not understanding how this company is getting 5 stars when I had a set appointment window between 10 am to 2pm for my house to be treated. I stayed home for this appointment time for my house to be sprayed and no one bothered to call and say, hey we will not be able to make it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Took care of the widow infestation we had in our backyard. Was prompt and professional.

We have used this company three times. Once when we first moved into our rental and a year later and a follow spray when we noticed a lot of spiders shortly after they sprayed. So...the first time the guy came out I informed him we rented but I would like to set up regular service and he said ok and did his thing. Months went by and I never heard from them and had I lost their number. Finally remembered who referred me to them and got their number again. This time my husband called and spoke to the lady who answers their calls. Explained we wanted to set up regular service and never heard back from anyone and she apologized and said she'd set us up and scheduled us to be sprayed. Discussed with the guy AGAIN we wanted him out every 3 months and he said great. A few weeks went by and we saw a lot of spiders and my husband called again. They quickly sent the guy back out, he was at the house seriously 10 minutes. There's NO WAY he sprayed anything. And to this day we've never heard from them again. So much for them setting us up.
