The rooms are "cozy", but its a castle and I didn't expect large rooms like the movies. A lot of thought went into the castle decor... i can truly appreciate the charm and effort that went into the decoration. We walked around the castle before they had a big pig-roast event. Its a great place for events and lots of parking on site. It was relatively quiet even with so many guests. Location was good, easy to get in and out of town and an easy taxi ride to Galway. You can't walk to downtown but who would wants to stay in a castle in a downtown area!? I would like to have seen two small things; 1. A rope across the base of the stairs stating "Hotel Guests Only" to keep the event goers from going upstairs to the separate "hotel" space. 2. Instant hot water in the showers up stairs. In the morning they're great but I tried to take a shower in the eve and it was chilly. I'd go back in a heartbeat, I appreciate the people who work there and the effort that was put into our stay.
