I have very mixed feelings about this place. On one hand this is undoubtedly the best dental office…read moreI have ever visited. Period. Spacious, modern, super clean, equipped with the latest and greatest technology, professional staff, and the doctor who is a dental guru. The equipment includes instant x-ray that pops up on the computer screen while it's being taken, whole jaw spin-around-your-head x-ray machine, waiting room with TV, computers, gourmet coffee machine, fridge with drinks - you name it. And once again the doctor is a real pro, knows his stuff, and is able to explain things in plain English. So what is the problem? Well, I came to them because big part of my tooth broke off. I wanted it patched. I got the x-rays taken (all of them and then some) and... I got talked into... cleaning. I had it done a couple times in the past and since it's been a while I figured - it can't hurt to do it again. My mistake was I did not ask for the price. And part of why I am so upset - the quote or proposal was not offered. To make a long story short - the doctor told me that the tooth that broke should be removed because the x-ray shows decay and it will only get worse. I considered it as he seems to know what he is talking about but only until I got my bill. It was close to three thousand dollars! For cleaning!!! (well, the x-rays too I guess, plus some super expensive anti-biotics - to be fair). Oh, and most importantly - the cleaning WAS NOT done by the doctor - but by a hygienist of course. Had I had a chance - I would have declined. But there was no quote, no estimate - no indication something so ridiculous is coming. In the past I paid $170 and $220 for the cleaning and I was not even remotely expecting this. After I voiced my disappointment and explained that I will be paying myself the price was reduced to about a thousand dollars. Which is still five times more than I expected. I am not stupid and I understand - the price included the fancy x-rays, the doctor's analysis and diagnostic, the pricey antibiotics and the cleaning itself. But still, had I known I would have declined - even for the thousand dollars. It was obscene and preposterous of them to do that and not tell me how much it will cost. And the original price - what the hell was that about? Well, I had to go to another dentist to patch my broken tooth - which was done for $300. To be fair - I was advised to remove it too, but I chose not to. Summarizing - if you have deep pockets or fancy high limits dental insurance - this is probably an awesome place to go - as you will most likely receive top notch dental care. But if you have to pay significant portion of the bill yourself be forewarned - you may go bankrupt. At least be smarter than I was and demand a quote BEFORE you let them touch you.

At no point was I informed that this visit would involve a dental evaluation or that any additional fees would be incurred. Upon arrival Dr. Dano immediately began promoting his own dental device, claiming it was superior to the one I currently use. He then proceeded to perform -without my request or consent- a dental evaluation. Following this unsolicited evaluation he informed me that all my silver fillings needed to be removed and that additional caps were necessary, totaling an estimated cost of $7630. I left the appointment without the adjustment I came for, confused, concerned, and extremely disappointed. I sought a simple adjustment, not a sales pitch or an unrequested dental evaluation. Shortly afterward, I received a bill for $225 for a "dental evaluation", which I never requested, approved, or was informed would take place. When I questioned the charge, the office manager responded rudely and stated that if I did not pay the bill, they would pursue the matter in small claims court- adding that they have never lost. The threatening tone and lack of professionalism were completely unacceptable. Had I been informed in advance that a fee would be charged for a dental evaluation, I would not have scheduled the appointment. TRANSPARENCY REGARDING COSTS AND PROCEDURES IS A FUNDAMENTAL ETHICAL STANDARD IN HEALTH CARE. Bull Valley Dentistry failed to uphold this standard, and in my experience, did not act with transparency, informed consent, or professional courtesy. I have filed complaints with the American Dental Association and Better Business Bureau. I believe patients deserve to be treated honestly and respectfully, and no practice should be allowed to mislead or pressure patients into unnecessary services or surprise billing. I do feel fortunate that I am only out $225. Please consider another opinion before letting Bull Valley Dentistry be your dentist.

I have been coming to this practice since I was a little kid, about 25 years. I really enjoy visiting with my hygenist, Tiffany, while she cleans my teeth and Dr. Anjali is funny and so sweet. Both of these women are so gentle with my teeth and gums that I never dread coming to the dentist for my checkups, cleanings and any other work I might need done. I have a number of friends who have had unnecessary procedures or treatments at other dentists but Dr. Anjali takes a conservative approach with my dental work. I appreciate that she explains what my options are when work is required and she's great at sharing what the treatment plan entails as well as what I should feel as she's working. I would highly recommend Dr. Anjali & Tiffany at Wegrzyn Dental. To top it off, I was in for a regular cleaning & exam tonight, Dr. Anjali noticed that a minor cavity that they've been keeping an eye on has gotten a bit larger and recommended that we fill it before it causes any issues. The office schedule had an opening shortly after my original appointment with hygenist Kari (who was also fun and so nice). Dr. Anjali was able to PAINLESSLY fill this cavity without having to use a drill or even use any novocaine. It was so nice to have this taken care of during the same visit.

One of my main issues with the crown he replaced was the darkness/black at the gumline. He assured me the black would be gone when he was finished. That was the farthest thing from the truth. The black at the gumline was worse. He verbally guaranteed his work and said he would redo the crown until I was satisfied. I immediately complained about the blackness at the gumline and also that the crown was set too far forward and was not level with my other teeth and the color was off. Dr Dano told me that in his opinion the crown was the best that it would ever be and refused to honor his guarantee. I paid $2700.00 for one crown which looked aweful. Now years later, I am having the crown replaced only to find that Dr Dano shoved a metal rod up into my tooth and mounted the crown on the metal rod and whittled down my own tooth so much that mounting a crown is extremely difficult. The metal rod has been removed and the blackness is gone. It is costing me another $3000.00 to correct his mistakes or shoddy dentistry! He is no cosmetic dentist. Buyer beware - go somewhere else. The man also has a terrible temper and does not think twice about letting it flare in front of his patients. My experience with him was terrible and I think he is one of the worst and most overpriced dentists I have ever been to.

After my first visit, I no longer saw Dr. Tom, I was introduced to Dr. Ray. From that point on there were multiple issues. I had a crown installed and had to be refitted. (She admitted to me she was nervous about putting it in, while I was getting the work done) The office personnel were unprofessional, asking for payment for a family member on an unrelated account. One of the hygienists, left me suspended in a chair for over 25 mins while we waited for the dentist to inspect my teeth. Not once checking on me and then proceeded to gossip with the front office staff while standing outside the open door. I have spoken with Dr. Ray and was told that I wouldn't have to see that hygienist again. Six months later I show up for my cleaning only to be greeted by the same person. Both of the front office personnel are no longer there, so there was confusion of anything I spoke about with Dr. Ray prior to my current visit. I had requested a call back from the dentist when I had the issue, and she refused to call me and had someone whom I just spoke to in the front office call me. This was only after, I made a second call and left a message. My wife recently had a crown installed and had to be adjusted three times, because it had fallen off. I honestly left because I have no confidence in this dentist and the service I would receive in the future.
