My dad was seen in the hospital and needed to see a urologist after being released he was sent to a rehab. I had started working on getting a appointment for him as soon as he was released. The hospital was very adamant about the catheter not staying in too long due to causing more problems. Even a doctor I have personally talked to him to see if he could get him worked in as soon as possible. My PCP which is also my dad's and me jumped through hoops and danced and did everything the office staff asked for. Then when you think it was all done to make a appointment. They would come up with even more to send them. The referral according to their office was never sent right. Asked what was needed she wanted the demographics (i.e. insurance) I offered to send to them evidently if it isnt sent by the PCP it isnt real even with a PPO. After that was finished then they wanted a letter from the rehab stating he wasn't under their care. Due to we paid out of pocket for another week. Because he wasn't ready to come home. But, that is another whole issue. He had gotten 3 UTIs during all of the circus for paperwork. The staff assured me he would be seen BEFORE the catheter needed to come out. Then the letter stating he wasn't under the "umbrella" of rehab but out if pocket pay. This circus went on for almost 3 weeks. So i asked look. If I can get you the letter from the rehab when can he be seen? Oh it wouldn't be till the second week in July. I stated nevermind and hung up. I got a appointment in Allen with a Urologist to be seen in less than a week. Alot of office staff drunk on power over there. They are lucky there is only 2 urologist in Sherman. If there was more. He wouldn't have any business. I wished the second phone call I made to see why he didnt already have a appointment I had told them then nevermind. If they did my 92 year old dad like this. How many elderly who has no advocates do? Nothing. They would give up. Its a sad day when a doctors staff forgets without patients they wouldn't have a job. So when im asked. We just had the worst experience that I've ever had seeing a Dr. My husband is a disabled Vietnam vet. We use community care through the VA in order to see Dr's locally. It took 2 months to get in to see this Dr. When we get into the appointment we are informed that they don't have the final authorization and can't see the Dr. Without it. We have never been asked for anything like this before and we've dealt with Community Care for years. I spoke with someone on the phone who didn't even know what they wanted! They were given the authorization number over the phone and verbally told that it was authorized to see my husband. The woman finally said 'we'll see him today but that's not how we do business' That's when I told her to cancel and we left. We'd sat there almost 1 1/2 hours on the phone trying to get what they wanted and were treated very badly. Apparently they don't give two hoots for Veterans and I cannot recommend them to anyone! I wondered why they had a sign up saying they would tolerate no foul language or any verbal abuse. Now I know why! They are infuriating to deal with!! read more

Would not pull my husbands stent out after few weeks of pain lots of clots bleeding pale nauseous hurt like I've never seen him hurt. Yes I was the one taking care of him when he could barely get up go anywhere missing work. He kept calling them saying something is wrong. Well sure of enough thank goodness he went to the ER. They were in disbelief but some had already knew he was like that. His wife was rude and he ended up in the hospital because of this . I'm not going to say what happened during his removal. But Dr Williams was very kind and took him in and thank goodness he did because it was pretty bad . read more

His staff is awesome and really sweet he is a quack i went to his office paid cash because i have no insurance i was in pain in his office he didnt file my report correctly or run any tests charged me $350 cash for office visit 24 hours later i was admitted to hospital in so much pain i almost had a stroke then he came to my room and told me i have two kidneys i can afford to lose one no big deal i only seen him one time in office twice while i was admitted in hospital has been repeditly charging me and it has been months since i have seen him i still cannot work because of this issue find another uroligist unless you want to pay and be charged for nothing read more

For anyone needing a Urologist I would not recommend Dr McGrael. He is a great surgeon but patient pain management is not high on his priorities. Treating a 9x5mm stone removal with another stent placed (she has already had one for 16 days) and will not have the new stent removed until the 27th. Treating with Motrin and Tylenol. Stated she should be able to go about daily routines after a few days of rest. Then told by nurse "it is like labor pains, you have to learn to work through it". But I know it's been a while since I have had kids but remember vividly the exhaustion from the pain of contractions. She has no energy to even take a shower and is trying her best to push through. My daughter is not one that takes even Motrin for s headache because she does not like medicine. But because of the "Opioid epidemic" (I was told by nurse and doctor) they do not prescribe prescription pain meds, and if the pain gets unbearable to return to the ER. That is horrible patient care. People do have the energy to heal and get up and push themselves because of the pain. I have spoken to several doctors and they agree kidney stones and stents are one of the most horrible pain and Motrin and Tylenol will not be enough. If you have documentation to back up the script then I don't see the problem. Maybe I know just being over protective of my adult child but we know our kids and what they can and can not handle. Just frustrated and feel helpless. To the people that abuse pain meds and the doctors that allowed it for minor aches and pains, thank you for taking that away from people that actually need it. read more
