Finding a doctor who actually takes the time to understand how a specific medication will mesh with your lifestyle and body is rare. She's incredibly thorough and has been very accessible via the patient portal whenever I had follow-up questions. The nursing staff also deserves a shout-out. They are wonderful and very understanding. During my last visit, one of the nurses gave me some great, practical tips for managing my allergies, even sharing what works for her own kids, which I really appreciated. The Cons: My initial experience was a total nightmare due to insurance hurdles. While that isn't the fault of the practice itself (third-party insurance is the absolute worst), it definitely made the start of my journey here rocky. More recently, they've implemented a new sign-in sheet process. Since this was a change from previous visits, I mistakenly thought it was only for new patients. When the front desk clerk asked me to sign in, she responded with a confused look and a bit of a rude tone. It was a minor friction point, but a little more patience for returning patients adjusting to the new workflow would go a long way!

He worked weeks on finding studies supporting he recommended. He is very dedicated to his patients care!! That was neck, we are back for lower back issues. The neck was one time and done! I had a spinal fusion in…read moreDecember 2024 with Dr. Ricky Kalra, and almost immediately during recovery I began experiencing severe nerve pain down my left leg. At my 2-week post-op appointment and every appointment afterward, I repeatedly tried to explain how intense and persistent the pain was and how concerned I felt about it. Unfortunately, I left those visits feeling unheard and dismissed. I understand recovery from spinal surgery can be difficult and unpredictable, but as a patient, I desperately needed reassurance, guidance, and to feel like my concerns truly mattered. Instead, I personally felt like I was repeatedly told to "wait it out," even as the pain continued month after month. During this process, I was referred by Dr. Kalra to multiple different specialists in an attempt to address the ongoing nerve pain. However, after being evaluated, those doctors ultimately referred me back to Dr. Kalra regarding the issues related to my fusion and recovery. This left me feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn for answers or support. More than a year later, I am still dealing with the same nerve pain that began after surgery. This has significantly affected my quality of life. When I contacted the office again hoping to discuss the ongoing issues I've been experiencing since the fusion, I was informed that I was being dismissed as a patient and later received a certified dismissal letter from the practice. That was incredibly upsetting after trusting this practice with my care and trying for so long to advocate for myself. I'm sharing this only as my personal experience. Every patient's situation is different, but for me, the lack of support and communication during such a painful and vulnerable time was deeply disappointing. I hope future patients feel heard, respected, and taken seriously when expressing concerns about their recovery.

Full disclosure: I didn't manage to make an appointment with this clinic…read more Apparently there were no openings until March when I called, because apparently the doctor will be out of the country for several weeks. Also, I was informed most of her appointments are taken by the PA who has "been with them for several years" and "does everything the doctor does." This is "their normal practice" apparently. I've never heard of such a thing. I asked if it was considered a "doctor's visit" if it was with the PA, and was informed that yes, yes it is. Huh? So why isn't the PA the MD then? Because the PA is *not* an MD... why are we paying a premium for a PA visit? I've visited multiple doc offices before and have had the pleasure of working with their PA's, but NEVER before working directly with the MD/specialist first and certainly throughout my care. Very disappointed after reading all the positive reviews about this place.

You don't have to wait long and her office is always clean and welcoming. Appointments are easy to make. Just a few down side issues...there is a charge if you miss your appointment, even if it's an emergency. However, the doctor worked with me on this fee & waived it. The billing / coding on a visit was also entered in incorrectly and I was billed from my insurance company. But the office corrected it, and took care of it after I contacted them. It's nice to see that they can correct errors & look at policy. I would recommend getting rid of the no show fee, it's very high and things happen. Overall, very pleased and would recommend.
