Unsweetened tea. Nice and strong
Gena W.

We loved this restaurant. It's located in Sawgrass Grove. We were seated promptly out on the patio and our server was so sweet. I ordered unsweetened tea and finally, a tea with some oomph! Awesome. My husband ordered the steak and lobster and declared it perfect. Our 16 yr old ordered the fish and chips and ate every speck of it. I got the pictured salmon cakes that came with a spring salad and mashed potatoes. I have to applaud the blood orange vinegrette dressing. Light and just a bit of tang. It was lovely. The salmon cakes were filling and hot and mashed potatoes were deeeeluxe. Inside, it's dark wood with lots of plaid accents reflecting the Scottish theme. There are lots of unique items on the menu to try and I'd love to go back.

Pretzel bites, homegrown salad, KJ.

Terrible food experience at the bar. They used to have an excellent homegrown salad. This is no longer the case PLUS menu says $16.95 and they charged $17.95 on the bill. A salad with this price tags should be excellent - not mediocre. Plus, bartender frazzled and not the best to get is to order more drinks and food. McGrady's isn't worth it anymore.

SERVICE: 5 Stars ONION RINGS: 3 STARS SCOTCH EGGS: 4 STARS This is why we went here, having seen this dish on TV, and aware from FB that McGrady made them. They were tasty, although a little pricey at $ 17 AMBIENCE / DECOR: 4 STARS Nice pub like atmosphere inside. AMBIENCE / NOISE: 1.5 STARS From where we sat our ears were assaulted by three separate sources: the unfortunate live singer, perched in the perpetually sunny corner, WVLG from the speakers on the poles outside, and some other feed from the speakers inside the restaurant. The cacophony greatly detracted from the overall experience.

Salmon on a chopped salad.

Went for a Scottish feel and surely was taken back to a pub in Scotland. The menu had Scottish classics like fish and chips but it was so hot that I decided to go for a chopped salad and for 11.00 added a salmon. It was good not the best salmon but good. The salad had a combination of greens and candied walnuts and cranberries. The dressing was really good. But the star of the dinner was the sticky taffy pudding! It was warm, delicious and the caramel flavors mixed with the soft cake were to die for. Next time I will start with dessert! It was so good I didn't get a chance to take a picture.

First dinner ever at McGrady's as we are new in town. Fantastic look and feel and the food was excellent. Our server Cullen ( a Sheldon doppelgänger " was polite , informed and attentive w/o being intrusive. Amazing beer and Scotch selections. I had the McGrady's red ale and it was very good. Dinner selections included Guinness haddock fish & ships, mussels appetizer with garlic bread was out of sight. Finally I had the Leg of Lamb special which was hot, flavorful and balanced with a perfect touch of fresh mint. I highly recommend this place. Great ambience, crowd, staff and food. Bravo McGrady's!

We liked it. I had the Ruben stuffed mushrooms & risotto. Both had a great flavor. We sat at the bar and had great service. Outside area is cool and looks like a lot of events. We plan to try it again in a few weeks.

So we stopped in at Sawgrass Grove in the Villages yesterday, had a beer at McGrady's Pub. We also had the Chowder and the Bruschetta. We thought that the quality was good, but the quantity was underwhelming. The domestic draft beer was $6 which is very pricey for the Villages. The view of the Southern Oaks golf course is nice.

Huge pretzel enjoyed watching music at Sawgrass.

Went to Sawgrass to listen to some music, wanted an appetizer of some sort. Checked out the to go menu with the nice hostess then ordered the pretzel from the bartender. Here's where the customer service skills are lacking, bartender seemed like it was an effort to take a to go order. It would have been a 4 Star review if he showed some hospitality. The pretzel on the other hand was amazing, huge warm and great dressingon the side.

This was a terrible experience from start to finish. We arrived at 7:45 p.m. and asked to sit away…read morefrom the bar but near a TV showing a baseball game we wanted to watch. We were told we had to sit at a high-top table because they were "closing" the section we requested, which was strange because the people in front of us had just been seated there. We accepted and moved to the high-top. The table was filthy, with crumbs and water rings from the previous customer. The waitress came over with a smelly rag, but no cleaner, wiped down the table, and brushed the crumbs onto the floor. She then asked for our drink order: one beer, one water, and one soda. She returned with a water, a soda, and a sweet tea, then disappeared. About 10 minutes later, she came back to take our food order. When we asked about the sweet tea, she told us we had ordered a water and a sweet tea. We explained that we had actually ordered a Coors draft. She chuckled, told us to keep the tea, and went to get the beer. We first ordered cheese fries to share among three people. What arrived was a tiny bowl of fries with cheese sauce, about the size of a McDonald's small fry. We explained that we wanted a plate of cheese fries for everyone to share. She offered to combine two orders onto one plate, but at that point we told her to forget it. We then ordered 20 wings and 10 boneless parmesan garlic wings. She asked if we wanted blue cheese or ranch, and we said both. She brought two of each. She also asked if we wanted drink refills, and I said yes. The food arrived about 25 minutes later, but the drink refill still had not arrived. The boneless wings were disgusting. You could taste the powdered garlic parmesan. I also asked for cheese sauce for my tots, which took about 10 minutes to arrive and came in a tiny plastic cup that was only half full and cold. The waitress disappeared again, so we couldn't even ask about the missing drink refill. When she finally returned, we were finished eating and still had not received the refill. She asked if we wanted dessert, we said no, and she disappeared again. When the check arrived, I noticed we had been charged $1.19 for each blue cheese and ranch dressing. Dressing is part of ordering wings, just like the celery and carrots that have been eliminated. I understand charging for extra dressing, but these were the dressings we were offered with our order. There should not be an additional charge for a condiment that accompanies the wings, especially when celery and carrots are no longer included. It was barely 9:00 p.m., and the employees were already complaining about how badly they wanted to go home. Overall, the food was poor quality and the service was terrible. We will not be going back again.

It's Christmas Day and we were looking for a place to grab a QUICK dinner. Keyword: Quick…read more We entered the restaurant and we sat within 5 mins in a booth as requested and then started the waiting game. Looking around the restaurant was only about half full. Not too busy for the long wait time to even get a server to our table to greet us. About 10-15 mins had passed before a server came up and ask if we had been greeted yet, and then decided she would take our order. It took another 10 mins before we got our beverages, which came in styrofoam cup because apparently they had ran out of clean cups. Crazy how a restaurant can run out of cups with a restaurant half empty, I can only imagine if the restaurant had been full. Anyway, it took about another 30 mins about after that to get one order of wings and fries. We were practically there for a good hour and a half and it only took us 10 mins to eat. Overall, the service was really great. The server was nice and apologetic but didn't make up for the long wait. TLDR:I would've given them less stars but they were kind and the food was good. Just the unnecessary wait time ruined it for me.

The restaurant itself wasn't overly busy on a Saturday around noon and we could easily get a table. Jerianna, our waitress, was bubbly and enthusiastic. She brought us samples of different sauces to try as we looked through the menu. We ultimately both ordered one of the BYOB burgers with curly fries and split an order of fried pickles. The burgers were thick, juicy, and it was great to customize with whatever cheese and toppings we desired. The curly fries were enhanced when dipped in the side sauces. The fried pickles were perfectly crispy with a great-tasting tangy remoulade to dip. Washed down with a Sam Adams, the meal and entire experience was pretty perfect. Without the Hooters in Gainesville anymore, Ocala will become the new go-to.
