My Primary Care Doctor offered to give me a shot for pain, but I didn't have pain. I just couldn't walk correctly and had leg weakness, so the Dr said to monitor it ~ Since Western medicine could not offer me anything, I then went to a Naturopath who referred me to a Corrective Chiropractor ~ and that is how I found Dr. C who resolved my leg issue with a couple of visits using the drop tables. Dr. Fisher and Dr. Farrell are excellent, thorough, and congenial. They are always willing to answer questions about my condition and treatment, and the answers are always framed in real-world, common-sense terms. The first time I went for chiropractic treatment, I was skeptical. I had heard absurd claims made in the name of chiropractic, and I didn't want to end up in some sort of mystical cult that claimed it could cure pneumonia by twisting my neck. I also didn't want to have my neck broken, or enter a program of treatment that was designed to extend my condition for profit rather than actually improving my condition. Dr. Fisher sat with me for a very long time, discussing the relationship between having back pain and sleeping, for example, and pointing out that I was less likely to get ill if sleeping properly every night. He took X-Rays, which we looked at together, and we discussed exactly how certain configurations of my spine were causing specific types of pain. We discussed how rapid weight gain had put more strain on my back than my back muscles could hold up without pain. Finally, we discussed how to go about fixing it. The plan involved initially getting me able to stand up straight again, and very soon thereafter incorporated a strength-training regimen designed to strengthen my back muscles to accommodate my new weight. Longer term goals included gradual weight loss to relieve some of the pressure on my back. At every point, I understood exactly what we were doing, and I understood exactly why, and Dr. Fisher made me feel confident that it would work, which it did. I was referred to him from a family member after my chiropractor retired. I had seen my chiropractor for almost 15 years. I am a nurse and have chronic neck and back issues. The intake process was pleasant and long. Received X-rays, which being in the medical field felt the machine was old and outdated. After waiting for over an hour talking with the intake staff I asked if I'd be seeing the doctor. They told me I would need to make another appointment. I was pretty frustrated and told them didn't realize I wouldn't actually be seen. At that point they were able to get me a few minutes with the doctor. Dr Martone was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. I specifically told him I did not want my neck manually manipulated. Which basically means him twisting my neck and cracking it, or adjusting it. I told him I had it done before and did not feel well after. In addition had taken care of a young woman who had manually manipulation done by a chiropractor and ended up with a carotid dissection and a massive stroke. Dr Martone assured me he would not do manual manipulation. He stood behind me and placed his hands on my head and neck and did exactly what I asked him not to do. I immediately felt sick to my stomach and asked why he did that. His reply was "well don't you feel better?" I did not. I promptly left the office and have not returned. As a nurse with more than 30 years of experience I was amazed at Dr. Martone's unprofessional behavior and arrogance. I honestly felt that the whole experience felt cult like in nature and really felt badly for the patients sitting in the waiting room. I have mentored and worked with hundreds of doctors in my career and to have someone lie to me and do something I asked not to be done to me only supports the uneasy feeling Dr Martone gave me. I would not recommend Dr Martone to others.

I scheduled my first consult and massage on the phone with Mary, the receptionist. She neglected to book my massage after my consult. I was so disappointed to say the least. I let it go. I had to reschedule my 2nd appointment, which Mary did when I called. However, the next day she called me to tell me I missed my appointment. I informed her I had called and cancelled it a few days previously. How hard is it to manage a client's appointment? Also, I was told the initial consult would be $185, only to get home and look at my bill which was $365! This was for less than one hour of consult. Not sure what type of business they are running there but I will not be going back for further disappointment.
