The level of care you and your pet receive at this clinic is bar none. I have been going here for a…read morelittle over 15 years. They helped me through years of pet ownership for multiple pets, including but not limited it- my previous dogs( jack Russell poodle mix) initial puppy ownership, spay surgery, 18 teeth removal( always brush your pets teeth, in the end it costs so much less then dental surgeries!), eating of whole Easter bunny large chocolate, kidney stones, 3 years of diabetes and euthanasia. They current look after my two rescue cats and my 2 year old husky. And when I needed vets for my bird, guinea pigs, rats, bearded dragon and such they were more then willing to give me information on other places. It's really important to me that they are first and foremost there for my pet's well being. I get reminder calls, confirmation calls for appointments and checkup calls when ever we have had anything serious. I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing ALL their staff are! The receptionists in my view work the hardest! Sheila( who has been there since the beginning) and her crew are polite, empathetic, knowledgable and friendly as they come. You always see a vet tec at the beginning of your visit. And they are all the most loving of animal people, always greeting you but more importantly giving your animals a friendly hello. They encourage you to bring your animals in not only for when they are "under the weather" but just to say hello and for a treat too. Not only to create a positive relationship between the vet and your pet, but because they love where they work and want you to as well. Now for the Vets... First off I want to say how amazing they all are and we all have our favourites, but I would not hesitate to go to ANY one of them! Dr. Van der Smithsson(possible spelling mistake) is the newest to the crew, and always offers a fresh look on things. She owns a cat or two herself and is always very professional in her manor. Dr. Chui is a very knowledgeable and kind vet. She even knows her small animals pretty well, if you ever have a quick question. (Though the vet specializes in dogs and cats). She has seen all my pets past and present. Dr Franklin, a fan favourite, my previous dog was his first patient at LEPH. He is as amazing as they come. Amazing "bed side manner". He is there truly because he loves animals. Very easy to talk to, and is always out to find a solution that is best for you and your dog Dr. Tung, in my family we call him the cat man, because not only does he love cats, he's got three himself. He is our top pick when we would like to have our cats seen. He has also seen my dogs and performed the mature spay on my husky. We have been exceptionally happy with him. I always feel confident when bringing my animals to this place. And it's quite easy to see I am not the only one exceptionally happy with this place, as they are often quite busy ( especially during the weekends, I would suggest booking appointments during the week if you can). They even have clients that live outside of Toronto. If you are looking for a new vet, this is the place. Trust me

Spyaing her was the only way out or we would have to put her down. It was a tough decision because Maxi is a shepherd mix and she is eighteen and a half years old. We were prepared for the worst but hoped and prayed for the best. She had the surgery and she is recovering now. I thank God first and then I thank all the staff at Laird Eglinton Pet Hospital! Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!Forever Grateful!

Dr.Hannah and Dr. Scalzo have both been INCREDIBLE over the years - they are both smart, hands on, and are great at explaining things. No matter what they wants to do whether it is a treatment, or medication for my pet - they always explain why it is necessary, and the benefits. I see a couple reviews saying this clinic is expensive - it is NOT. You get what you pay for - they take exceptional care of their patients especially during surgical procedures. The staff have always been wonderful to me especially the receptionist. I will continue to take my animals here, and recommend it to everyone. This place is simply the best.

I had just got the dog, he was not on the Pet insurance long enough to cover his treatment and they considered it a pre-existing condition. I must say that at Bridletowne Warden Animal Hospital, your pets come first. They made it possible for me to afford the treatment which saved Butler's life. Dr. Israel Arteaga explained what the blood tests were for and broke down the costs so that I felt like I was in control of the situation. Butler was a very sick doggy and he only had 50-60 percent chance of survival. Butler will always have advanced Kidney disease, but I'm happy to report that he is now over 10 years old and still stable thanks to the on going care and support of this clinic.

DO NOT let this vet perform any major surgeries in your pet…read more We made a huge mistake of allowing vet Israel Arteaga to perform major surgery in our cat, on 30 January, 2025. After 4 days from the surgery, our cat started to suffer from immobility without peeing/ pooping/ and the cat refused to eat/drink during these times. We brought the cat for the second time to identify the possible reasons for her suffering. He advised us to make a blood check and X Rays which he didn't give us any reason why she suffers. 2 Days Later than this, we had to bring our cat for another check as her condition was declining over time. And during our vet visit, one employee advised us to apply for funding which we were approved for. Over the weekend, Israel Arteaga rushed to the hospital to take 10 X-rays which our cat didn't need just to use funding from the Farley foundation. Instead of covering our outstanding bill, he used an amount of 1500 for extra activities which our CAT didn't need at all. He didn't advise any of these amounts of xray and he didn't approve any of this with us. Reported to Farley Foundation for misuse of funding. I never met any MONEY OBSESSED person before like this vet. We took our cat on Monday and he said he doesn't know what is the reason for her suffering, as he always assumed the possible reasons rather than fact... He advised us to visit another VET which we did. When we shared our X ray pictures with another VET, she identified that WRONG Implementation of Catheter could possibly put her internal organs in trauma.. After that we understood why he decided not to cure our cat, because his wrong treatments and assumptions made our cat suffer. I am in so much pain, as we had to let our beloved cat go. I REPORTED HIM TO ALL AUTHORITIES FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION

Also, the price was much less than I was anticipating. I don't know if this is because I am not used to vet bills but it seemed very reasonable to me. I will definitely keep using this hospital.

All friendly and quite knowledgeable. The thing that impresses me the most is the fact that she LISTENS to me!! Nobody knows the animal like the owner and often I have found this is lost by vets who push for unnecessary things as a money grab. I had to euthanize my dog yesterday. Came up so quickly. I came in after making my decision over the weekend. I was there several hours early. So they fit me in and Dr. Greenwood spoke to me. Listened to what was going on. I explained to her how the dog was acting and the symptoms. She DID NOT try and grab money from me to extend the life of my dog. She said she felt I knew my dog very well and admired me for not trying to be heroic. That was the easiest decision and saddest day of my life. They prepared things for the comfort of my dog and I. Sedated her and let us have private time as the sedative kicked in. They came back and I wanted to hold my dog during her last moments... I was in their way and they told me to stay where ever I wanted. They worked around me to allow me to hold my girl at her last moments. I held it together until her heart stop beating. I then fell apart. I got a big hug from both Dr. Greenwood and June who then told me to take all the time I needed and leave when I wanted. I WOULD NOT have wanted to be at any other vet or clinic for the last moments of my dogs life. They have always been empathetic and knowledgeable. A rare combination.

My dog had a pink eye with some discharge and I went to the the vet to be able to get the medicine, but than the vet started to offer other things: - Two exames for the eyes, one costing 300 and the other one, 60 for each eye. - Tablets for ticks. I said no, I have it already. - Diet plan. I wanted only the drops for his eyes, that was it! When I went to pay for the consultation and get the medicine, they had included also an "oil" for his eyes and some wet pads for pets - these two things are more expensive than the simple eye drops my dog needed. I just paid 250+ dollars to get out of there, and I just wanted a 14 dollars eye drops. Well, I felt very disappointed and I already miss Doc Dean, she never offered me any unnecessary service or treatment. I hope she is enjoying her retirement. I am considering looking for a new vet for my dog as it looks like the vet is so eager to make lots of money on added and unnecessary services and products not required or requested.
