Terrible experience with this company!…read more In Nov when we paid $9,500 to start the project. CCB dug footers in Feb for a 16x16 sunroom and pantry. Three months passed and every time we spoke to them we were told they were waiting for the city to inspect the footers before the concrete could be poured and to get a permit to build. I called the city 3 weeks in a row to find out that no one had scheduled an inspection or applied for a permit to build on our property. On May 16th the owner promised that by Monday I would have a permit in my window, inspection and footers poured that week. That week the owner came to tell me that his office staff lost our survey (he frequently blames his employees) and that the city did not approve our plan from Nov2013 because of an easement on our property. He had a revised plan and more promises. His crew re dug footers but still no permit. On June 7th we received a notice of an IRS levy placed against CCB for unpaid taxes. Don't waste your time and money with this company!

We submitted a detailed request for quote via the Better Business Bureau to replace the existing pad. Griffin Cement Contracting Co responded promptly. Mr. Griffin came out, assessed the work and discussed options. He submitted a very detailed quote. We chose the company based on his discussions with us, his detailed quote, and the reviews online. We were not disappointed. Mr. Griffin personally supervised the job. They protected the site during demo and construction. Other firms received one star reviews for ruts and dents to lawns. Mr. Griffin used plywood over our grass to limit the impact to our lawn. Griffin Concrete uses a better subbase prior to pouring the concrete and a better type of concrete. The color was what we requested and the type of sealer used makes the color pop. We are extremely satisfied.

The brick steps to my home had developed cracks in the mortar and had loose bricks, which were a…read moresafety issue for anyone walking on them. I turned to Yelp to commission a brick mason to fix my decrepit steps and Lucas S. of MASONRY RESTORATION and SERVICES contacted me for the job. Lucas S. placed a bid on the job which was a flat fee; no hassles. I appreciated his pricing for the job as it was a fair price for the scope of the assignment. On the first day, Lucas S. arrived at the job site on time and ready to go. He skillfully removed all the old mortar from between the bricks and prepared the steps for the acceptance of the new mortar. The following day Lucas arrived to fill in the color matched new mortar surrounding the bricks. He took meticulous care to ensure that all the bricks were filled with new mortar and were aligned properly. The bricks and mortar were allowed to set for full day to ensure the structural integrity of the steps were properly secured. On the third day Lucas arrived to apply a chemical solution to remove any excess grout and dust film that had accumulated during the work. The steps were restored to look brand new. Lucas cleaned up the job site ensuring all the dust and debris was removed to my satisfaction. Anyone looking for a brick mason, reach out to Lucas S. of MASONRY RESTORATION and SERVICES for a professional, highly skilled and meticulous craftsman. He will provide you an outstanding product at a very fair and competitive price.

The lintel above my garage, which is the long piece of metal that spans the width of the garage and holds up the brick above the garage door, was sagging, which means the bricks were also sagging, no longer straight or level, and the grout was cracking severely on both sides. Clearly the original builder used a lintel that was too short, it only overlapped the sides by a few inches and it should overlap by about a foot. I was concerned the bricked above the garage could collapse and come crashing down. See all the pictures. Michael came out to asses, gave me a price right then and there m, and we made the deal on a handshake. He came to the house when he said he would each time, communicated regularly via text and in person, brought out his extremely capable mason team when needed and got the job done in reasonable time with incredible results. They removed and reset each individual brick, every row of bricks above my garage all the way up to the roof, and they *cleaned and reused* every brick so they would match the rest of the house perfectly. The end result is truly astonishing, it actually looks better, straighter and more uniform, than I could have imagined, it literally looks better than new. See photos. The grout cracks are all fixed just as he promised and they look amazing. His price was extremely fair and very competitive with other bids.
