A couple weeks ago a tooth on my right side started to hurt. After trying to deal with it for a few days I decided to go see Dr. Rapanotti to get my tooth pulled. I was seen pretty quick once I arrived and was advised that I needed to get rid of the infection before he could go in there to take the tooth out. I was so nervous but this guy is so personable that I was not worried for too long. Xrays, antibiotic and pain scripts, and an appointment for next week was given within 20 minutes. I left feeling really good about everything. Today I came for my appointment and once again I was scared. I hate needles but he was quick and kept my attention off of it that I honestly barely felt anything at all. Tooth was extracted with no pain. He's full of good humor and is super nice. His office staff and assistant were great too. I left paying less than $160 with no insurance! He's getting all my family's future business!

I called in to schedule an appointment in the mid-May, and I told them very clearly I have Tricare dental and asked them if they accept Tricare. They said yes they do accept Tricare and then set up my appointment on June 22. I showed up and checked in, then the front desk asked me to pay $100 copay, I told them Tricare covers 100% on the annual exam and x-ray and cleaning twice a year. Then they told me oh we are NOT in the Tricare network and you need to pay a copay $100! WHAT!!! WHY DID NOT TELL ME ON THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED THE FIRST TIME???!!!! I said then I do not want to proceed with the appointment and about to walk out, the manager saw that I was about to leave, she said oh I can just bill your insurance and waive the copay, since you are already here, I do not want to turn you away. We will just do the x-ray and you can take the images to another dental which is in the network. I accepted and proceeded with the x-ray. I was SO WRONG!! I really really should have left! Later of the day I found another dentist on Tricare Dental Program website and called them and told them what happened earlier today. I was told that: 1) they would need to do their own full mouth X-ray and not accepting what other dentist has done due to liability 2) Tricare only covers full mouth x-ray once every year, I would need to pay out of pocket for the second one. This place wants to make money so bad that they totally abused my insurance coverage! They knew clearly I had Tricare and they could not do any cleaning or needed treatment for me! Even they waived the $100 copay but they submitted $$$ claim to my insurance! Yeah, they got paid from insurance! Now I have to pay for another X-ray out of pocket! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMING PLACE!!!

My husband and I can't continue with Dual Arc Dental because they no longer submit the full bill to the insurance company and after that amount is paid the patient pays the balance. Sometimes we cannot afford to pay up front so we located another practice recommended by a friend which will submit the bill to our insurance and allow us to pay the balance. We understand that Dual Arc made a business decision and we wish them the best. Try them and you will be impressed with the high level of dental help.

We called to set up the consult and our phone call was greeted by a very friendly voice of Chuck who helped get us scheduled. Everyone is so nice, **I should have gone into orthodontics, everyone is so happy here** We came in for the consult and were greeted with water and an awesome check-in experience. Vickie took us on a tour of the whole office which is state of the art, well organized, and beautiful. She helped us with a basic run-down of the experience as well as a little of her personal testimony about braces in general. Both were very helpful as we were clueless. We waited just a bit for Dr. K as she is working in Stone Oak as well for now. Both Vickie and Chuck were talkative and made us feel at home. Dr. K arrived and talked us through the options. She was so thorough and was making us feel understood. She allowed us to schedule the very next week and in order to save time, allowed us to do the pre-braces checklist for pictures and place spacers before we left to save us time. We are at the appointment now to place the braces. They have a variety of payment options to include: CareCredit, an in-house payment plan with down payment, and a percentage off of the total if paid in full. Not sure if this is a promotion but either way, great options. They do take Tricare and are considered in-network which is always a plus. Now for the amenities, I posted pictures which do it no justice but the facility has a brushing station, game room with free Pacman and a charging station for devices. Their medical equipment is top of line. NO GOOPY MOLDS!! They use 3D imaging and it's amazing to be able to see the potential end product. Their X-ray machine is new and very quick. I can't say enough about this place and its staff. We are so lucky to have found them while we are here. Highly Recommend!

The dentist came in afterwards to give me an exam and completely ignored me. He was in and out in less than 4 minutes. He looked at my teeth for a minute, made some comments to the assistant and just walked out. He recommended major oral surgery for me after looking at my teeth/X-rays for 2 minutes. I had more questions about his decision for that but didn't get the chance to ask since he rushed out. I spent $99 on this service and really wish I had done more research and went elsewhere. I will now have to make an appointment with a different dentist to get a more thorough opinion on whether or not I need oral surgery. I felt like a very undervalued patient here.

Sign posted out front saying "masks required"yet the two people at the front desk were not wearing them properly. Pushed down below your chin covering your throat is not the correct way to wear a mask. The second thing that I noticed was they have a sign for Wi-Fi, but they said it wasn't working. I had a hard time with that since I saw the employees in the back on their personal cell phones. I had to get a root canal and a crown. You should know if you go to this dentist that he does not practice pain free dentistry. I think my mouth hurt more from being injected with the Novocain which they didn't seem to care then it did from the damn root canal. I left their office and called my wife. While I was on the phone talking the first temporary crown came out. I turned around and went back to the office to have them reapply. The dental assistance were gone so the office lady who smelled like cigarette smoke came in and attempted to put it back on. I left to go get something to eat, was eating soft sushi, and it came off again. I went in the next morning and they attempted to reapply without success so they decided to take an impression. That's all they said. The next thing I know I'm getting my gum jammed with a needle again about 100 times just so they could take an impression. They kept saying that the machine that they use to take the pictures to make the crown was broken. This went on for two weeks before they decided to take another impression. Here I am four weeks later still waiting on my permanent crown. I called them to ask them what was going on and Angie said come in this afternoon and we will put it on because it is sitting here. Five minutes later she called me back and said it was another Mike that was due to have his crown put on not me. I have tried to call them multiple times with no return call. I even tried to call the dentist after hours because I was having some pain due to the gap in between my teeth with the temporary crown in place. The damn dentist won't even call me back. One of the worst things about this whole experience is they have taken all of my money and refuse to help me or call me. Do yourself a favor and do not go to this circus and deal with these clowns. I'm sure there are 1 million other qualified dentists in the area. Instead of Apple dental it should be called Hassle dental. My wife has to get some dental work but there is no way in hell I would ever let her go there. Sad but true

We did our research and went to two different places to receive evaluations. Dr. Ferris was thorough, discussing the benefits of braces for our pre-teen (not only from an esthetic standpoint but for his oral and health benefits as well.) He recommended we wait for molars to come in before getting started. The process has been smooth and we're kept on the loop every step of the way. The office staff is courteous and efficient- we've never had to wait long, if at all, for our appointment and the office has in house payment plans. If you're looking for more out of your orthodontist, Ferris Orthodontics is the superior choice!
