Friendly and professional. I always enjoy my visits. I was given great instructions from them when I had to start monitoring my blood sugar.

Nice People...But Poor Advice...High Prices…read more I needed a refill of my glucose meter test strips. Doc sent it to WalMart Pharmacy (in Lebanon VA) They are my Drug Plan's "preferred" pharmacy. They wanted $188 (from me) for 100 strips. Yikes! I can't afford that! The pharmacy clerk suggested I purchase a new meter and use the "starter" kit of strips that comes with it! Huh? He also told me that our Humana Drug Plan card was not valid and I needed to get a new 2014 card. I called Humana and they said "No!" they do not issue a new card every year. Obviously the pharmacy clerk was not properly trained and didn't know what he was talking about. MY preferred pharmacy is a privately owned one in town, across from the Hospital. I decided to talk to them and see if they could offer an alternative. Immediately the Pharmacist said that Medicare would likely pay for a new meter and 100 strips. He ran it through and...guess what...he was wrong! Not free...It would cost me $4.16 !!! (Big Smile) That's a $184 savings! Yippee! Now why couldn't WalMart Pharmacy tell me that? In the end, I'm glad they didn't as it got me back to my preferred pharmacy! I am transferring ALL of my prescriptions from Wal Mart Pharmacy to MY preferred, family run, pharmacy. Even if my copay is a little higher for each prescription it will take a long time to make up for the $184 savings I got by going elsewhere. Shame on you Wal Mart Pharmacy!
