I ordered a door from this place in June 2014, after a long series of the most ridiculous excuses imaginable, (broken glass, drivers mother sick, owner sick, his wife, mother, etc.etc.) I cancelled. He is ALWAYS very apologetic, very sympathetic, promises, promises. It is now April 2015, and he has still not refunded me the £300 he owes me. He simply will not refund to me despite many, many promises. I now have to go to get legal redress. Simply unbelievable. I rated 1 star because no option for none. AWFUL!!!! 1 star highlighted because I couldn't leave none! Do not entertain this company. The owner is unreliable and refuses to accept any ownership in errors. I ordered 2 internal doors to match a door I already had. Was told I would get them within the week but after 3 weeks of "still waiting for the glass" they delivered completely the wrong order. Which was apparently my own fault and I ordered the wrong doors to match the one I had had for a few years. Was incredibly disrespectful. Offered me a refund but I had waited this long I would wait another few days.....lo and behold another 2 weeks later of not returning phone calls and excuses I called today to be told....... I'm just going to refund you because after all you ordered the wrong doors!!!!!! Nearly 5 weeks of excuses and waiting I now feel he was just playing us for a fool. Been a joiner for 30 odd years and bought lots of door thought I would try Mcfaddens timber, tried it once and will never return waited for 14 weeks for a door to arrive, over the last two weeks I contacted the shop on a number of occasions and was told my door would be in that week and delivered In the next few days guess what it never appeared no phone call I phoned two weeks later and was told my door would again be in but the driver was sick so it couldn't,t be delivered until the Monday again didn't arrive phone call on the Tuesday to say it would be delivered on the Wednesday gues what it didn't arrive phoned the shop at 4pm and was told it would come later that night never arrived phoned on the Thursday morning and it did come after another excuse from Mr McFadden as to why it was late. The man cannot give you a straight answer don't know how he has been in business so long. Stay away from this shop one other thing the door was £30 pound more expensive than I found on line after I ordered my one. read more

I ordered two doors from this company on 12/7/15 that were going to cost me £640 I was told they would be fitted on 1/8/15 and that they needed to be paid upfront by either cash/cheque or bank transfer I paid by bank transfer and now wish I hadn't given this company my money. On the morning that they were due to be fitted I received a phone call to say that my doors had not been delivered so couldn't be fitted that day but could be done the next week on 8/8/15. Received another phone call close to the fitting day to say there was another delay with the doors this happened week after week with excuse after excuse. Eventually I got tired with waiting and the excuses and went into the shop to ask for a refund was told that wouldn't be a problem and that the refund would be transferred to my account the following day. Checked my bank on the day the refund was due and it wasn't there a couple of days later I received a phone call to say the refund would be through that day which was at the end of August more than a month later and I still have not had my money back . read more
