I'd had a CC replaced here at American Muffler back in 2006 or so after someone had crawled under my truck and hacksawed it off in the night. When I called to see about an estimate for a new CC for the Traverse, the fellow I spoke with was very quick to point out that the spark plugs were a more likely culprit for our troubles (and could trigger a false positive with the check engine light for the catalytic converter). More than that, he very generously used his own time to research both the plugs I would need and what the repair would entail in terms of labor, etc. I do not have enough overwhelmingly positive words in my vocabulary to give this place the glowing review it so richly deserves, but I'll try. After the $3k cold water shock from the dealership, the over the phone help and reassurance I received changed the tenor of my day for the better. When in dire straits, I strive to ask myself: "What's the best that can happen?" I'm not always able to answer that question on my own steam, but I get the strong impression that American Muffler truly has the best interests of the customer at the forefront of their business practice, and you could do much, MUCH worse than to call them. I give this place my absolute highest recommendation.
