Jollibee - Fried Chicken Meal

Whether dining in, getting takeout, or ordering an online order, this location's service never…read moredisappoints! We've come here numerous times, and they have yet to mess up a single order. Always accurate and timely, though they can get really busy on weekends. Jollibee is a bit expensive for fast food chicken, but their fried pieces are sizeable. Also, it's just dark meat so that is a plus if you dislike dry fried chicken breast. Gravy is flavourful and their peach mango pie is always yummy too. What I appreciate is that their spicy chicken is actually spicy! When they had the Korean BBQ limited sauce that was awesome too. Kinda sad they didn't keep that menu. There are quite a few seats for dining in. As they are so busy, the dining area is not that clean. I don't think that tables have much chance to be wiped down. You'll have to make do...

I have known about this Jollibee location at Promenade Mall for a while. I finally got around to visiting it on Monday after work, which completed my visiting Jollibee locations in the suburbs of Toronto. I like this Jollibee. It's by mall entrance 2. You have access to this eatery from the mall or through its own entrance when the mall is closed. Most Jollibee restaurants have washrooms with a numeric code that you need to use to unlock it. This one does not have this code, which is nice to not bug staff for the special code. I used the washroom before I left. It was decent. You press a button to lock the door and press the larger button to unlock it. I spent a bit of time at the mall. I worked up an appetite and headed over to Jollibee for a bite to eat. It's across from Firehouse Subs, which I'd like to visit someday. I walked through the mall entrance to get here. The downside to looking at the menu is that there's so much that I want. My usual is often not listed right off the bat. I have to wait for the screen to change to see it. I got a nice man at the counter who greeted me and took my order: - Two-piece burger steak - Adobo rice - Peach mango pie - Pineapple quencher I got my Jollibee rewards QR code scanned. I then paid with a credit card. I tapped, but didn't see that the credit card had prompted me for my PIN. It was incredibly random! I got my pineapple quencher. I love this drink so much. It is sweet. I'm glad that I don't have it regularly, so it ends up being a treat. The pineapple is so good. It's also icy cold. I got a buzzer to let me know when my food would be ready. I found a table and sat there, sipping my drink and people-watching. My order was number 19. The buzzer had 19 on in. It buzzed and lit up like I had won the lottery. It was kind of true. I was fetching my winnings in the form of dinner. I thanked another man at the counter who had my order nicely presented on a tray. I then headed back to my table to eat. I find the two-piece burger steak to be comforting. It's so good with sliced mushrooms and gravy. Adobo rice was new, so I went for it. It was flavourful. I hope it stays on the menu, as it's a fancy step up from the plain steamed rice! I mixed the adobo rice with the mushroom gravy. It was fantastic! I capped my meal off with a peach mango pie. It was excellent. There was plenty of fruit filling. The pie was crispy and hot. Yum! Before I left, I filled my empty cup with Diet Pepsi. I still don't know if I should be doing this fill-up, but I run out of pineapple quencher quickly that I genuinely need another drink. Maybe I need to suggest a larger quencher cup size, but I'd be on a massive sugar high than I already have with the current cup size. I'm glad that I can finally say that I've been here. Staff were helpful and great. The food and drink were yummy. I'll be back soon. (224)

The portions are generous. The accompanying sauces flavourful and I appreciate that the meats weren't overly salty and just perfectly seasoned. We ordered a platter for 4 to feed 3 adults and 2 hungry kids and we have plenty to spare for leftovers. Some of us also ordered the individual build your own, which is also quite affordable and reasonably priced. My fav has to be the ribs and brisket. The Mac and Cheese disappeared quickly. The staff was really friendly and helpful and there was plenty of seating on a Sunday evening when we dined as a group of 8. Ordering was quick and easy with the self-service kiosks, followed by the classic buzzer and wait with the crowd experience. I got the Avocado Bacon Burger and a Double ShackBurger, along with fries and bacon cheese fries. Seating is limited to the genera food court which can get very packed. The burgers were delicious. The Double ShackBurger was the standout, a classic, juicy smash burger that really hits the spot. The Avocado Bacon Burger was okay, but I didn't find that the avocado and bacon came together particularly well. The fries were probably the weakest part. They were pretty underwhelming, and considering there aren't really any discounted combo options, I don't think I'd order fries again. The bacon cheese fries were a little more indulgent, but definitely contributed to that "I feel disgusting, but in a good way" feeling afterward. Overall, amazing burgers, decent experience, but I'd skip the fries next time. Really happy to see more Shake Shack locations popping up around the GTA.

The customer service was great and they really do a great job of suggesting you items if you are indecisive about the menu. It is somewhat busy but the line moved fast! They are doing a good job of keeping everyone happy.

This place is probably the newest addition to the Orange and Black purveyor of marginal grilled meats. The establishment is clean and well laid out. Clean chairs, booths, pop machines, tables, and floors - nice to be brand spanking new eh? I was on my way for a late morning meeting and I needed some sustenance. Yeah...I know...I basically skipped the most important meal of the day. I was going to make it up to myself with a local greasy spoon breakfast. As I was zipping by, I saw the new Harvey's building. I'm not a major Harvey's fan but I had to stop as a huge banner indicated Breakfast. I felt nostalgic as Harvey's breakfast was one of the few meals I had with my Dad. Had the Homestyle Breakfast. Couple of Eggs, Sausage or Bacon, toast, home fries, and coffee. $7 including taxes. Feeling sorry for the nearby breakfast spots as this is undercutting their fare. They also have a bunch of breakfast sandwiches where you can add toppings. Nice! The breakfast was well prepared. Slices of tomato, cucumbers, and other veggies were offered with a couple of packets of jam. I could have made the same at home but I got lazy today and I for one was happy to find the place. 3.5 Stars. Cheers.

But most people come for the deli sandwiches. There's a good selection of meats, sizes, types of bread and condiments. I got the Montreal smoked meat on an onion bun with french fries. It was big enough that I took half of it home. The taste was excellent. The french fries were just the right crunchiness. There are long wooden tables with stools that can accommodate large groups. There are also booths and regular tables. The décor is unique, with lots of old black and white framed photos on the walls and old-fashioned fuel pumps. The service was very good. Firstly the Reuben had a very nice flavour profile with the sauce and the sauerkraut But The smoked meat tasted bland and it was too soft. Which was confirmed in the smoked meat poutine I had for takeout. The smoked meat seemed borderline raw and too soft. There was no bark or crust on the edges. Too bad. Service was attentive though. The jarritos drink in a glass bottle was a nice touch But Not enough for a return visit from me though 3 stars is more than enough. Maybe lower 2 point something with a roundup.

We finally checked out Chick-fil-A again…read more Chick-fil-A is a popular albeit controversial fast food restaurant serving southern fried chicken sandwiches. I've been here several times and it's always good southern comfort. They were offering Kids' Meals on Us, with no strings attached though we also ordered their signature sandwich and milkshake. For around $9, the Kids Meal included 5 small nuggets, a mac & cheese side and a drink such as milk/apple juice. The sandwiches themselves are just OK, it's not overly crisp and the flavors are fairly standard albeit a tad on the salty side with their house sauce. We usually choose deluxe for the lettuce & tomato slice. The waffle fries are nice, as is the iced tea. Their regular Chick-fil-A sandwich is now $8.39 here and a meal has risen is over $12. You can expect to have a quick meal served straight to your table. The interior is still packed & clean. Skip it or hit it? It's a pleasant meal for southern fast food, but be ready for a small crowd.

I tried one while pulling out from the plaza on a stop sign waiting my turn... and they were soggy. Cob salad was nice though, with the avocado ranch dressing.
