We've been coming to this McDonald's for awhile now. I'm very happy to say, this is one of the cleanest McDonald's around. Every time we're there, there is someone that is cleaning something. From the girl and the fryer to the kids cleaning tables and mopping. We have yet to come across a sour employee. Everyone, and I do mean everyone there is as nice as can be. Very disappointing experience. The drink machine wasn't working, the ice cream machine was also broken, and the employee at the drive-thru window was rude and unfriendly. To make things worse, the BBQ sauce they gave me was expired. Between the poor customer service and the equipment not working, this visit was frustrating. This is a 5-star rating for as far as McDonald's goes and as far as fast food goes. This is probably one of the best McDonald's I've ever been to. I go by fairly regularly (probably more than I should) and they are consistently fast, the food is hot every time, and I have never yet had an order be incorrect. I've often been during a breakfast rush or a lunch rush and the flow is like that of a Chick-Fil-A. Proves to me the rest of you McDonald's are just being lazy and incompetent since I can see it can be done. Further, the ladies in the drive-thru during the day are always super friendly. It's almost as if they enjoy what they're doing. So in summary, great for a McDonald's. Would easily call it the best one in the area. read more

Well...it's Mickey D's...not a five star restaurant. With that said, I typically have a good experience with this particular location. I'm normally a drive thru customer in the mornings. Typically for an iced coffee. So, because of that I don't have problems with getting the wrong order usually, but I do have a problem with the inconsistency with the way the iced coffees are made. To avoid this, I've started telling them how many squirts if cream and syrup I want...this is a bit annoying ;( Overall though...the food is typical McD food and the staff is normally friendly, and as with any business with such a large percentage if high school student employees... the service is mediocre...all predictable and expected. The manager here made the local paper for being recognized as one of the top managers in the chain - I think one of only about 350 in a chain that has over 17,000 restaurants? Very impressive. So, I was driving close by around lunch time and decided to check it out even though it was a little out of the way. The restaurant is spacious and mostly very clean - the men's room could've used a little attention but perhaps the last visitor there was messy? The server was extremely friendly and helpful, and most impressive: the food was ready in about 2 minutes! That is commendable considering: A. It was lunch time, and B. I ordered a cheeseburger with no condIments for Boone. When I asked to speak to the manager to compliment her on her award, she was readily available to speak and very humble and gracious. I'd have given them 5 stars except the fries seemed a little undercooked...but not to the point I didn't eat them. And, Boone thought they were perfect! By the way: I notice they have a 2.5 star rating (better than Edwardsville's 2 stores!) which isn't all that great. However, you'll notice the worst reviews are from a few years ago. So, I'm thinking the new manager will turn things around for the better - give them a try! read more

I haven't been in a McDonald's this clean since being in Copenhagen Denmark. The self serve kiosks clearly state this McDonald's has been recently overhauled. All tables were washed regularly. The floor were not slick or sticky. The place is huge. Great for large sports teams en route from a small town match to home. The kids in the play place sure look like they don't want to go home. This McDonald's normally is a great place to stop in for quick bite or an afternoon treat. I normally drive through and have never experienced a problem with my order. Last two visits have been pretty bad. Both times were similar in problems. Pull to the side, long wait, employee having to ask what I ordered because "the manager" already cleared the order. I'm fine with mistakes so long as they get fixed and a desire to improve is shown. Messing up orders and lying that you've completed them so your metrics look good is not fine. I am disappointed because my chicken nuggets were awful. I was starving and I really wanted to eat some crispy and juicy chicken nuggets throughout our trip we were taking. we stopped here and i ordered my nuggets. the drive thru line could've been quicker, but it wasn't terrible. i got my chicken nuggets and they were the most repulsive thing I have tasted. I tried just scarfing them down because I was so hungry, but I literally couldn't. Everyone in the vehicle had terrible chicken nuggets as well. it's like they were over cooked or something.
