Had a meal at this Spuntino location while recently connecting through London Heathrow. I was…read moresurprised at how nice the place was, given it's inside an airport! Like most travelers, we were on somewhat of a time crunch so debated trying to grab a meal at a sit-down place like this. However, the sign near the hostess stand said food was coming out of the kitchen within five minutes so figured we'd give it a go. We were quickly seated and then quickly greeted by a server - if you're an American you'll know service in the UK isn't ever quick (and I don't mean that rudely, just a different standard), but this place is speeeeeedy! They weren't kidding, food was out in less than 5. I ordered a flat white coffee and farm fresh avo toast with fried eggs. My husband opted for the eggs benny. I'd say the food was A-OK, nothing to write home about but did the job. Certainly was a fan of the coffee though. And the atmosphere!

My colleague and I were headed to another restaurant and I'm window shopping and my eyes got big…read morewhen I eyed a most delicious looking whole wood-grilled fish on someone's plate. I also found the restaurant name very catchy, "Meat at the Parish." Well we came back, and I ordered that fish and it was as delicious tasting as it was delicious looking :) Very friendly staff, space was very charming - a lot of warmth all around. Menu is steak and fish. (Note - this review is for a visit in April 2017.) WHOLE GRILLED SEA BREAM - £14.95 Very good, fish was meaty. No sides included. SIDE CAESAR SALAD - £4 Small but perfect salad - bacon and anchovies were a bonus. Housemade dressing. BLOOMING ONION APPETIZER Just ok - my colleague ordered this. She ordered the "Baked Cod w/ Pearl Onions" for her dinner and enjoyed it very much. CHOCOLATE SUNDAE - £6 Colleague ordered this - brownie was good but not warm, and the ice cream was melted b/c they served the dessert on a warm dish :( Our server did encourage us to order the Honey Walnut Cake - we probably should've followed his recommendation. Overall, the service really stood out esp. from the owners. And while normally I like to try different things on the menu, I would order that fish again in a heartbeat. FYI total bill includes 12.5% gratuity.
