As far as McDonald's goes, this is a decent location. It appears to be a newly remodeled building. It's bright with a variety of seating options including tables & chairs, round tables with soft chairs, stools, etc. There is plenty of parking, kiosks where you can place your own order, a counter for ordering, and a drive thru. Service was just ok - I had placed an order in the McDonald's App, but when I was standing at the pick up area, the employees weren't even aware there was an order waiting to be prepared. Once we got our food, it was good. The environment was good - it was comfortable and quiet and we felt safe here. Also, the bathroom was on the cleaner side for McDonald's. I'd go back here if I'm ever looking for fast food in this area again. read more

I would never review a fast food joint simply because they're all the same. Overpaid complaining pre madonnas that are directly responsible for the raise in minimum wage to the point where you can't afford to eat fast food anymore. Anywho, this location is very sad. It's outrageous how often my order is messed up in this particular location. It feels like 90% (not exaggerating) of time my order is messed up. (I'm dumb enough to leave drive thru without checking my order). Most of the time it's not a little mistake... it's almost always significant. Here are some examples. This should NEVER happened but it's occurred TWICE, I ordered a sandwich with the bottom bread missing. I order nuggets but don't get the sauce. At 5:56 today, I received a raw burger that was severely undercooked! Called to speak to supervisor she stated she was the supervisor of the store that evening, in charge of all 31 employees, yet not in charge of the kitchen. She did not even offer me a replacement burger. I had to call another store to get the manager to get her to take me seriously. Repeatedly, the store manager asked me which burger was I supposed to get after I had repeatedly told her I had a RAW burger. Rude service. After a late night at the office, I stopped here on 10/5/12 at 10:30ish PM. The woman at the drive-thru was not nice AT ALL. She wasn't flat out rude per se, but she didn't say any of the following: hi, thank you, you're welcome (when I thanked her) and didn't even acknowledge it when I did. She should not be client facing at all since she exudes rudeness. I didn't get her name but I believe she was early to mid 20s, chin length black, curly and greasy hair. I've went to this McDonald's a couple of times. But my last experience with this place wasn't very good. When I asked for a chocolate milkshake they gave me a vanilla milkshake and to top it off, they added whipped cream. I mean... I didn't say no whipped cream but still, that's not cool. This isn't the absolute worst McDonald's in Springfield but it definitely is one of the least scrupulous. First off, being a franchise location the restaurant is badly outdated, it feels dirty because of that. Secondly being franchised their prices are all over the place - and high. $5 for a large fry? They're the only location nowhere near a highway that isn't participating in the $1 any sized hot coffee promotion. Just feels like you're being ripped off when the place looks like a dump but you're paying more than beautiful new corporate and even other franchised locations. The staff doesn't really speak English so stick to numbers and sizes. One star added because it's not the South End or North End locations that are loaded with bums they don't kick out. read more

I walked into the dining room of this McDonald's almost a half an hour before they closed (1:00 AM). The very rude girl behind the counter told me and the friend I was with that "We had to use the drive-thru" even though the hours were clearly marked on the door, and then she walked away and paid no more attention to us. My experience was horrible and I will not be going back. I was hungry and it was fairly late, I should not be subject to this kind of rude and inconsiderate behavior. In addition, this McDonald's regularly shuts off their grills early, stops serving certain foods late at night, and makes you wait a long time at the ordering microphone despite the fact that there are no other cars in the drive-thru. read more

First...never park to go in. You'll never be able to get out if there is cars in the drive thru. Secondly, no one uses the two speaker system. But there is always that idiot who sits at the first speaker and doesn't move up. I can't even count how many times I am asked what I ordered at the second window.. Pretty sure their job is to know my order. Not me to remind them. And these people want $15 an hour??!!! Rarely do I get food that is actually heated all the way through. This location is awful. I agree with others who say that reviewing fast food is relatively fruitless. That said, my expectations are incredibly low whenever I go to this McDonalds, yet the staff seems to continually find ways to limbo beneath them. This is the rudest group of employees at any restaurant, fast food or otherwise, that I've ever frequented. I keep going back because I'm an idiot, and because I assume that eventually the owner of this location will decide he/she gives a crap and potentially require the staff to give even a 5% effort. The drive thru is the slowest anywhere around. They say they are short on staff when ever I ask why so slow?
