There is a fair amount of seating inside and I have never been in there and not been able to find a table. My only complaint is that several times I have not been able to get a veggie burger as they have run out. So, if you're vegetarian, get there early!! A quick and easy place to get something to eat whilst you're out shopping at Gunwharf.

I noticed from what I had ordered that I was missing a happy meal, it became apparent the App failed to record one of my happy meals, McDonald's solution was for me to drive around the Drive Thru again and reorder the said meal, this was a very busy lunch time and would have taken 10-15 minutes, whilst my current order would have gone cold, I spoke with the Shift Manager and Assistant Manager separately and they were both rude and unwilling to practice any decent customer service and rectify this fault with their own processes. In fact when I pointed out that they had a front counter till they could ring the order in the Shift Manager told me the till was so busy that it was not possible and the Assistant Manager told me that they didn't have any front counter tills - so one of them if not both of them were lying. After this several minute altercation and by the time we got home the food was cold and inedible. My advice is don't go to this unit, clearly they are busy and customers are just numbers, they clearly don't care about the service, food quality or tine it takes to be served. It is opposite HMS Collingwood so there are often chaps in uniform in there if that's your thing! The drive thru is good and if there is a queue forming they take your order whilst you are in the queue to minimise waiting time. Compared to other McDonalds this is good.

They sell the usual range of Subway rolls and salads, where you choose the type of bread you want and the filling, salad, dressing, etc. They do meal deals which also include a drink and either crisps or a cookie. There is limited seating inside and it can sometimes get quite busy. Gunwharf Quays has a large pay car park, and is within easy walking distance of Portsmouth Harbour station and The Hard bus and coach interchange.
