A very large T G I Fridays, serving up decent American classics at OK prices…read more As we walking from the Southampton bus station to our motel, we saw a TGIF on the way. So after we checked in, we decided to do dine-in. It was about 2:30 pm local time, but couldn't really tell what meal of the day it was. All we knew were that we were hungry and very tired, and were very OK not getting a British experience. Once we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and seated. There is a large dining area, and there weren't many people there. We got a 3 part menu, and we focused on the currently running special, which was the choice of an entree and app for a set price. Baxter was our waiter, and he provided us water and took our order after giving us time. We ended up getting a Downtown special (£14.99) and a Uptown special (£19.99). The food came out soon after, and both had been served immediately after being assembled. Apps: both the mozzarella sticks and fully loaded potato skins are classics and were solid. You used to be able to get them from the frozen section at the grocery, and these tasted just like that....which is a good thing. It was also very filling. Entrees: double stack burger; chicken tender burger. Both were fully dressed with fresh vegetables. I really liked the toasted bun that they used for both. Both came with a large amount of OK fries. We got back into the spirit of eating out in the UK where the listed price already includes tax, tipping is encouraged but not always expected, and things are listed in sterling which is about 25% more than the US dollar. Service was good..with the factors mentioned, we thought everything was good value.

No the best Fridays experience and probably wouldn't have gone if it weren't for the eat out offer…read more Service was good. Boneless chick and Seasame chicken were also good. Burgers are just disappointing and lack anything original.

Cute burger joint with friendly staff…read more I ordered the Prince Harry is overrated and truffle Mac and cheese one of my friends ordered the juicy Boris falafel burger with seasoned fries and another friend but they're shrimp sandwich with seasoned fries The beef burger was so good I have no complaints I loved it hands down it was Fresh it was amazing the falafel burger was also good as well no complaints there the shrimp burger we were in a fan of the shrimp itself tasted good but the bread and the toppings that came with it didn't mix very well with The Truffle mac and cheese was a little too rich for me the cheese was very overpowering I was not able to finish the season fries will get us so overall they were ok but they weren't the best fries I would definitely go back for another burger which is what they're known for so if you do visit I would try a burger whether it's chicken or veggie try the burgers that's what they're good at

When we arrived at 1.15pm for lunch, it was packed, but luckily we were told we only had to wait 15…read moreminutes by a very welcoming waitress, for an available table, so we sat and waited outside on the two long wooden tables with others waiting for a table. It looked like it was going to rain, but it did not after all, so we could have stayed outside, as the sun came out! We got a lovely table by the window. Nothing on the menu was above £6.50. There were choice of burgers, dogs or pulled pork in a bun. I ordered the "prince charles is overrated" burger. The patty beef burger were done the way I liked it, quite charred on the outside and medium inside, in a toasted hot bun. It was succulent and tasty served on top of shredded iceberg, pickles and dirty spread (that is what it says on the menu!) and topped with crispy bacon. It also comes with cheese but I asked for no cheese. The basket of fries was a very large side dish, enough for two people to share. We ordered the chilli cheese fries which was seasoned and topped with minced beef covered in cheese and green chilli. They had an interesting "mar-grrr-eat-her" slush cocktail, but unfortunately, they had ran out of the lemon and lime slush, so I tried the local ale instead. There was a constant queue at the door and the waitresses continued to be very cheerful. Lovely and very helpful service. The bill was settled at the counter.
