    Uncooked Egg McMuffin
    Shelly H.

Save yourself some grief and drive the extra miles to Post or Lubbock. Nine times out of 10, you won't get the correct order. Once you receive it, it's usually too nasty to eat. Two weeks ago I drove through and ordered an Egg Mcmuffin and Diet Coke. I asked for ketchup, salt and pepper. Got out of drive through and looked at bag - no ketchup, salt or pepper. Went into the restaurant to grab that. Came back out, tried my soda. It was a Dr. Pepper so I had to go back in and discard that and get a Diet Coke. Yesterday, I ordered the same thing - Egg McMuffin, Diet Coke, with same condiments. Didn't get any condiments. Had to sit at drive through a few minutes before they came back and I asked again. They threw some stuff in the bag and I pulled away to park and set up food. No pepper. Then I opened my raw Egg McMuffin, which was inedible. I ended up taking the egg off this atrocity and choking the rest down. Not worth the money or trouble to go here - the employees don't care if they get your order right or not. The uncooked food was rhetorical last straw with this place. I'm done.

Burger on the right has the cheese falling off it, burger on the left has no lettuce and it also has ketchup

Bathrooms smelled of sewage and were worst than gas stations...I couldn't imagine the stuff you can't see or smell.

Done with this location. They have never got my drive through order correct. How hard is it to press the right button?

I didn't know this was possible: slow service. Not with it people. Artisan chicken sucked. At least the drink was ok.

The space itself is adorable--think industrial loft vibes with exposed brick, warm wood accents, and that cozy, slightly artsy feel you get from an old brick building repurposed just right. It's the kind of place that feels calm and intimate, especially tucked into a quieter downtown pocket that gives off small-city charm in the best way. I ordered a loose-leaf green tea (I won't even attempt to pronounce the name), brewed French-press style, and it was so good--earthy, smooth, and surprisingly reminiscent of crispy rice mixed with green tea. Warm, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared. My husband went with an Americano, which was solid and well-balanced. They do offer food and small bites, but what really stood out was how community-forward the space feels. There's local artwork displayed throughout the café, all available for purchase, along with curated retail items like tallow products, cool tees, and other thoughtful little finds you don't usually see in a coffee shop. Between the cozy industrial atmosphere, quality drinks, and strong support of local artists and makers, Nashville Cafe feels less like a quick coffee stop and more like a place you actually want to linger. A really sweet spot downtown--quiet, creative, and full of character.

I haven't returned to Mano Negra since it moved from its old location in Cactus Alley to the heart of Lubbock. Their old spot was very tight but had such an unadulterated charm that made the space feel special. The new location feels a lot more modern, but as its fanbase continues to grow, it needed more space to work with anyway. Inside, there's a huge wall of art and plenty of seating, and it feels like a place that doesn't belong in Lubbock. It feels so mid-city that it almost made me emotional. In the back lies their bar, where they serve their famed sangria, house-brewed beers, and other beverages. Their bartenders are super knowledgeable and will help you make the right choice. In the corner are a few arcade machines, including Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat II, Defender, and Pac-Man. There are also plenty of board games to pick up as well. As for the drinks, the Sunset Sangria and their Sandia Sangria I had were both exceptional. Good sangria hits like nothing I've ever had before. Mano Negra's new spot has a great deal of outdoor seating and patio space. If the inside gets too loud or too crowded, and if there's live music like there was when I went, it can get LOUD. The outdoor space offers a quiet escape and a great conversation spot on a cool night in Lubbock. The overall vibe and energy of Mano Negra are lively. The Brazilian students playing music in the corner brought out a new level of energy to the night, and I had a blast going here. I warn that their drinks are a little strong and the energy can get a little hot, so you may find yourself three drinks deep, unable to resist getting your dance on a little bit. Have a little fun with it. RIYL: Feeling A L I V E on a Friday night
