I couldn't wait to come here. Not because I'm a McDonald's fanatic, but because it's so close to where I'm staying on Calle Rafael Alers and no one has yet to review this location on Calle Loiza. I really try not to go to restaurants that are easily visited in the States but here I am and here it is. I've seen/passed this McDonald's at least twice during the night and how unfortunate that the high golden arch outside is not on. I expect to see a bright M guiding me and I guess when you're used to it, not seeing it really stands out. I visited during the early afternoon so the light couldn't be visable. But should it have?? I was really exited about this visit and I haven't felt like this over a McDonald's since I was 6('84) and going to my main location, 6th Street and 1st Ave, East Village. I entered and knew I wanted a triple burger something. No chicken nuggets, my go to, and maybe something adventurous. I had enough time to scope the overhead menu and didn't see much difference from the States' or displays of Ricaned food options. I settled for something I knew I would like so the Sweet BBQ Chix sandwich combo it was. Crispy, battered onions and bacon were in the sandwich and the fries were fries and the Coke was just Coke. The combo was medium and the fries again were that of McDonald's, hot, salty, and room for more in the container. The sandwich was delicious, ample, had a great taste. Every bite was plentiful and not messy at all. 1 cashier, 12:45pm, get my order taken 4-5 min. after getting on line. They also have an all-day breakfast menu and have a bustling drive thru. Not much parking around, clean bathroom and tables were clean and ready for diners. The only thing missing is the bright, illuminating M out front. Hey, Ronald, get that light fixed!! read more
