Oh Emmmm Gee one of the best burger joints I've been to in a while. When entering you notice the establishment is smaller more intimate but it was perfect for a party of six. Now everything is al a cart but after eating the burger and Cajun fries it was all worth it. I also ordered a beer to complement the tasty food which was perfect. The service is also fast. It took maybe 10 minutes before my buzzer went off to pick up my food from the pickup window. Overall I give the restaurant 10/10 I literally think about the food and my mouth salivates. This was near our parking garage so we didn't know what to expect. The meat on the burgers was really good along with the fresh toppings. The fries were incredibly good, especially the sweet potato fries. The menu was incredibly English in case you don't speak Spanish. There were also lots of sauce options if you wanted a bit of spice. Very similar to the other burger franchises (Z-Burger, Five Guys etc.) We ordered a chili and cheese hotdog. They give you more bread than hotdog. The chili is watery as well. $9 for a single hotdog is ridiculous. Our total order was $30 (hotdog, bacon cheeseburger, fries and a drink): We also ordered a bacon double cheeseburger. The beef patties are huge. The fries were ok. Too thin for my liking but they were ok. It's unbelievable that they charge for refills on fountain sodas. That's petty. The ambiance inside was typical of a burger place. Outdoor seating is an option as well but be forewarned, the pigeons are gangsters! They will take food out of your hands or even off your plate while you are sitting there. We will give this place one more try before we leave Puerto Rico. It topped w all the veggies and brioche buns were used. 4 Stars - Fries - they were thinly cut fries and were good however not too crunchy. You will need salt to enhance the flavor. 4.5 - - Onion Rings - they were thick, evenly breaded and fried perfectly. Use caution when biting into them cuz the steam will burn ya'. Also, use the local Hot sauce to spice your meal up! We tried Don Rafael and Spicy Caribbean sauces. Both were good however we liked the Don Rafael more. Reminds me of shake shack. Same buns, lettuce, and pickles (in appearance anyways). Tasted similar too. Everything was fine but nothing stood out. Burger was maybe a bit under seasoned. Overall it was a good value for what you got. We were full and left with fries. Good stop for lunch or dinner. If the cashier didn't get annoyed because we didn't tip they would get five stars. My thought while eating here was this is a cheap imitation of Five Guys. The best thing here to me is that they have slushies/icies. I got a coke Icy which was good. After a poor experience at 'The Place', we decided to give Buns Burger Shop a shot for lunch. Buns reminds me of a Five Guys. Our experience at Buns was much better. We each got a Buns Classic burger (mine single, my Bf's a double) and added different toppings. We also each got an order of the Cajun Spiced fries (the portions are large - we only needed 1). Our burgers were big and juicy and delicious. The fries were good as well. All in, it was still a pricy meal when you include drinks, extra toppings, etc but it blew 'The Place' out of the water. My family and I dined at Buns this past weekend. We got the regular cheeseburger and grilled chicken sandwich. Both were pretty good, not the best that I've ever had, but enough to fill you for the night. I prefered the chicken sandwich over the hamburger. The hamburger meat just tasted kind of basic. Pricing was good. There's ample seating and it's fast casual. Service was friendly. Location is great. You can find street parking nearby. Buns makes fast food burgers, but way better than your traditional fast food places. It is kind of like Shake Shack or Five Guys, and just as good, if not better. I always go double meat. It's the perfect amount. Add in some Cajun fries (or cheese fries) and a drink and I'm satisfied. They have a very nice selection of imported and local craft beers. They also have a hot sauce bar for those who want to add some heat. I like hot sauce, but I don't think of it as going on a burger. If I want heat to my burger or fries, I just add some jalapeños. But it's a nice option to have for those who do want hot sauce. My wife loves their milkshakes and my son their hot dogs. I also like their chicken sandwich and tenders. The only thing I didn't like was the grilled cheese. They dropped the ball on that one. But it's a burger joint and the burgers are excellent. This location doesn't have it's own parking. However, there is a public lot behind the building. I prefer the Guaynabo store to this one because the parking there is free. But if your in the Condado area then this store is more than fine. The quality is the same at both (I haven't been to the Old San Juan location). read more

"Like 5 guys but bad" was how I described this place to my boyfriend in a drunken text the night I ordered, and sober me would agree. The concept and feel of the place really is the same as 5 Guys, complete with build you own burgers, Cajun fries, hot dogs, etc. I opted for the standard Buns burger which was basically a double cheese, and loaded it up with toppings. I also ordered the Cajun fries. I think all together my total was around $10 or so, which wasn't bad for the area. They also stay open later than most other restaurants on the road. The place had a lot of promise and honestly I'm really disappointed to not give it a higher star rating. They have a ton of craft beers available and a wall of maybe 20 or so hot sauces that you can sample with your burgers (I ended up bringing some back with me)! However, the food was simply not good and bordered on straight up bad. The fries? Soggy, starchy, and flavorless. The burger? Basically dog food meat with the most artificial cheese I've ever tasted. The onion ring I ordered on top for an additional charge was good, but couldn't salvage the burger itself. If I were to come back to the area, I would maybe give it one more try based on the beer selection alone, but I really can't recommend the food in good conscience.
