Plant based burger and a cheeseburger
    Raya V.

This is such a cool concept burger joint. The staff was friendly and I saw how accommodating they were. The burgers we ordered were delicious and the fries were amazing as well. The prices are so reasonable that it makes more sense to come here instead of eating fast food. The toppings were fresh and everything was made to order. I loved the fries and the different hot sauces on the wall to choose from. They have a new regular.

This was near our parking garage so we didn't know what to expect. The meat on the burgers was really good along with the fresh toppings. The fries were incredibly good, especially the sweet potato fries. The menu was incredibly English in case you don't speak Spanish. There were also lots of sauce options if you wanted a bit of spice. The roasted garlic was our favorite. The service was good, but it takes a little bit of time since the food is made to order. The interior was very clean and had a good amount of seating.

Very similar to the other burger franchises (Z-Burger, Five Guys etc.) We ordered a chili and cheese hotdog. They give you more bread than hotdog. The chili is watery as well. $9 for a single hotdog is ridiculous. Our total order was $30 (hotdog, bacon cheeseburger, fries and a drink): We also ordered a bacon double cheeseburger. The beef patties are huge. The fries were ok. Too thin for my liking but they were ok. It's unbelievable that they charge for refills on fountain sodas. That's petty. The ambiance inside was typical of a burger place. Outdoor seating is an option as well but be forewarned, the pigeons are gangsters! They will take food out of your hands or even off your plate while you are sitting there. We will give this place one more try before we leave Puerto Rico. Hopefully, our experience is better.

It's nice that they are open late. I was staying across the street at the Marriott and needed a quick bite. I ordered the skinny burger which was pretty good. I was expecting it to be wrapped with lettuce and since I didn't get utensils it was a bit hard to eat. Ingredients were fresh. Fries came out a bit light on the crispy and on the extra salty side. Fast and friendly service.

Double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings

Ordered double burger with onion rings and a coke. I also had an ipa while I waited. The food came out fast and was hot. The burger was seasoned great!

I ordered a classic burger without the caramelized onions, but there was some miscommunication with the cashier, and I ended up with no onions at all. Despite that, the burger had great flavor, and the fries were perfectly crispy. One highlight was their variety of hot sauces, which added a nice touch. Indoor seating is limited, but they also have a nice outdoor patio. The bathrooms are unisex, and the sink is located in the hallway leading to them, which was a bit unusual. They also offer a good selection of local beers, making it a great spot to grab a casual meal. Located in a busy street but easy to find.

Great burger - a single is plenty big. Served hot with grilled onions and a fresh bun. Would pass on the fries - mediocre at best. They have Diet Coke. Restaurant has 3 smaller tables, window bar top seating (12 total seats) , and a large community picnic style table that could hold 12- 16 people plus outdoor tables. Service is efficient not overly friendly but seems to be the way of the area.

Overall 4.25 Stars Walking around in Veijo San Juan can get your appetite going. After burning thousands of calories, ok, one thousand calories...we stopped at the local Buns burger shop to get lunch. And boy weren't disappointed. Indoor seating w about 20 tables square or round size, you order at the front counter and get a buzzer when your meal is ready. Not Your typical fast food restaurant. Ambiance is cool and enjoyable. Had humorous posters and has a variety of local hot sauce to try. Food: 4.5 stars All items are a La carte. 4.75 Stars: We ordered the Single w everything on it including Jalapeños to spice it up, a side of fries, a side of onion rings and Icee drinks. The burger was thick and juicy and was cooked on the griddle. You can definitely taste the meat. It was wonderful. It topped w all the veggies and brioche buns were used. 4 Stars - Fries - they were thinly cut fries and were good however not too crunchy. You will need salt to enhance the flavor. 4.5 - - Onion Rings - they were thick, evenly breaded and fried perfectly. Use caution when biting into them cuz the steam will burn ya'. Also, use the local Hot sauce to spice your meal up! We tried Don Rafael and Spicy Caribbean sauces. Both were good however we liked the Don Rafael more. Normally I prefer not to be in the picture but I wanted to show you the hot sauce types and the food as I was devouring the burger!:) Enjoy! Definitely will look for this restaurant when back in PR. Might have to go back one more time before leaving:)

Decent local burger chain in Puerto Rico. I say "decent" because it was just okay. The burger had a weird texture and taste to it. The fries were okay. My thought while eating here was this is a cheap imitation of Five Guys. The best thing here to me is that they have slushies/icies. I got a coke Icy which was good. Burgers and chicken seem to be so popular throughout the island of Puerto Rico. There is literally a chicken and burger spot at just about every exit throughout the island. So, since we've seen this place advertised so much as well we decided to give it try. Service was good and the restaurant seemed clean enough. I wouldn't visit again but to each his/her own. Not my cup of tea.

The food here is Amazing. The burgers are fresh and juicy and the fries are super thin hot and you get a lot of them. The service was quick we only waited like 10 -15 minutes which I'm ok with that way I know my burger is fresh. The inside is set up really nice and we will definitely be back to this place before we leave.

Pay at the counter quick service burger shop. Limited indoor and outdoor table space. Nice portions and good flavors. Friendly service. Plant options available. They also have alot of toppings to customize your burger.

After a poor experience at 'The Place', we decided to give Buns Burger Shop a shot for lunch. Buns reminds me of a Five Guys. Our experience at Buns was much better. We each got a Buns Classic burger (mine single, my Bf's a double) and added different toppings. We also each got an order of the Cajun Spiced fries (the portions are large - we only needed 1). Our burgers were big and juicy and delicious. The fries were good as well. All in, it was still a pricy meal when you include drinks, extra toppings, etc but it blew 'The Place' out of the water. There was plenty of indoor dining available when we arrived and It was nice and cool inside. I would eat here again if staying in the area.

We were greeted, seated inside, and our order was taken with no issues. Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill and became one of the most unsanitary restaurant experiences I've ever witnessed. While we were waiting on our food, a man walked in with a dog. It was obvious the staff knew him because several employees immediately started interacting with the dog. The first thing I noticed was our waitress using both of her hands to pet the dog while the dog repeatedly licked her hands. In my mind, I thought surely she would go wash or sanitize her hands afterward. Instead, she proceeded directly toward the kitchen area and started preparing the condiments for our burgers without washing or sanitizing her hands at all. She then brought those condiments directly to our table. At that point, I politely told her she needed to wash her hands and that we no longer wanted the condiments. She walked away to the back, but the situation only got worse from there. The dog was approximately one foot away from our table the entire time. Personally, I do not believe dogs belong inside restaurants, especially around food preparation areas. Dogs carry germs, and anyone who owns dogs knows one of the first things they do when greeting other dogs is sniff each other's private areas. Watching staff pet the dog and immediately return to handling food and kitchen items without washing their hands was honestly disgusting. As we waited for the manager, another employee came up and allowed the dog to lick all over his hands. Right after that, he proceeded directly into the kitchen area to continue cooking food -- again, no hand washing, no sanitizer, nothing. We watched at least three more employees interact with the dog and only one person actually washed their hands afterward. When the manager finally came over, I explained exactly what had happened and asked him if he truly believed this was sanitary. His response was basically that dogs are welcome in the establishment and that he would "tell the staff to wash their hands." His attitude came across very dismissive, like he really didn't care about the seriousness of the situation. At that point, I asked for the bill for our drinks because there was absolutely no way I was going to eat food from an establishment operating like that. To make matters even worse, while we were paying, the man with the dog proceeded to take the dog toward the back near the kitchen area. Completely unacceptable and unsanitary. I understand some places are dog-friendly, but there still has to be health standards and proper hygiene when employees are handling food. Watching staff pet and get licked by a dog and then immediately touch food items and kitchen equipment without washing their hands ruined the entire experience for me. I will definitely not be returning.

After looking at the menu, I ordered the Mac & Cheese burger, added bacon, lettuce, tomato and grilled onions. The burger came with French fries, which were really good. The burger itself left somethings to be desired. It was an overpowering garlic taste on the meat. I tasted the garlic more than anything else. I feel that salt and pepper is the normal and you usually can't mess that up, unless you're heavy handed. I know it can be difficult to match the flavors from customer to customer. Some may think it's over seasoned, under seasoned or just right. I would say salt and pepper only would help keep it normal. I did have another issue with my food, but the owner? manager? took care of it, so it's was fine. The restaurant doesn't have normal or cheap water. It's $2 a bottle. I understand wanting to provide clean and safe water to customers, but $2 each is overkill. A case of 30-40 pack of water is like $4-$6. If you ask for water, they won't tell you there's a charge unless you ask, but you'll see it on your bill. I'm not a fan of restaurants that do this. A heads up would be nice. With how inexpensive it is to get the water, it should actually be free even if within reason. Maybe 2 bottles per person or something if you're that worried about the $4-$6 cost for a whole case lol. The prices for everything is not your typical prices for the normal burger spot or whatever. The cheapest burger combo is like $14 for the 1/2lb and French fries. Lastly, as some others have mentioned, I feel the shots are not accurate. I ordered a double and it looks like it was just a single shot. I've never seen shots this small before and I've visited many bars and establishments. If you're going to order a shot, maybe bring a shot pour cup to make sure it's accurate. Overall, I'm heavily leaning to not returning to this place. If I did return, it would be because my girlfriend wanted to go, not because of me.
