OK, I have not had McDonald's in at least seven years. I may have gotten an itch to have a Big Mac maybe, about four years ago but a full on meal at McDonald's with soda and fries, I have not had in at least seven years. I was on the Internet and trying to find a quick high-protein option for breakfast. The McDonald's egg McMuffin is that quick easy 20 g of protein pick up from their locations. I ordered one without cheese which lowered the calories to 250. I drove into the drive-through ordered the sandwich and noticed that they also have smoothies. So I went ahead and ordered a small mango pineapple smoothie to go with my egg McMuffin with no cheese. The drive-through staff here is very nice. They greeted me with "good mornings" at the pay window and pickup window. I love that they have tap pay at the drive-through. I received my order at the next window. I got to the office opened up my sandwich and it was still warm. I ate it and it was a bit dry, and I couldn't finish all of it. We needed a quick stop from a long drive and planned on using the restroom as well as treating ourselves to some fries while we continued our travels. After walking into the women's restroom and seeing both toilets clogged and the bathroom totally massacred, I decided I couldn't eat their food if their bathrooms are this badly neglected. really like this McDonald's location because there's plenty of parking and when you walk in they actually help you at the counter. A lot of McDonald's now rely almost completely on the kiosks, but I personally still like the human interaction and being able to tell someone my order. I usually come here for the coffee and I order a vanilla iced coffee with only one pump of vanilla because that's really all I need. I didn't realize before that the standard recipe has about six pumps, which is way too sweet for me, so if you don't like a lot of syrup it's worth asking for less. I'll grab a McGriddle sometimes too, but honestly the coffee is the main reason I stop by. I also noticed they added a new screen showing promotions which looks pretty cool, and the Sausage McMuffin 2-for-$4 or 2-for-$6 deal is still going on, which is a really affordable option. Customer service was great, the location was clean, and everything felt well organized. I'm giving it five stars. I'm not none to bash any McDonalds (or other fast food place) without a good reason. SO...I present to you the McDonald'$ made to order if you pay extra Dbl Quarter Pounder Protein Burger! $.60 for extra lettuce and $1.18 for extra tomato. This is just a sad excuse for a burger. Plus, no extra mustard or pickles and I had to eat with my hands even though I asked for a fork and knife (drive thru, and my hands are extremely dirty from work) I will say the meat was delicious, more so than I remember...but then again i was starving. read more

The worst MacDonalds I have been in a long time. It was really dirty and you are kind of forced to do your order from the kiosk not from the usual counter talking to a human. All the tables were very dirty but I don't blame the workers because I think that they are under staffed. If you don't like to share table or space with homeless this one is not for you. I went through the drive thru with an Order Code. I was swiftly processed through and told to park in the " blue spot. " Apparently, the spot was the disabled parking spot. I am neither disabled, nor is my vehicle authorized for such parking. I walked in after finding parking elsewhere. I informed them it is illegal for me to park there and for them to direct others to park there who do not qualify. Very convenient, central location. Plentiful parking. Affordable and prompt. The kiosk was buggy so I ordered with a cashier. The employees seemed focus on the drive thru but my food came out quickly and very fresh. The interior was somewhat modern but not super well kept (trash on chairs, no hand sanitizer at any of the dispensers, etc.) Overall fine and hits the spot when craving McDonalds. read more

Ya know, it all depends on the MD location. Some have horrible service and others are great! This is also true about MD's food. Some you get hot food and others is barely warm! For instance, if you order fries they can be mediocre and limp. While the Great fries are hot with some added salt. So on and so on, with burgers, including breakfast! I just happen to be lucky with the McDonald's that is close to me. It's a high volume place which is great because food does not sit there. Basically a stone's throw away from wife's work, we end up popping in or doing the drive-thru for some quick regretful food. We seem to ask ourselves after every visit, why did we come? Yes, they did have the filet-o-fish for years on Fridays at the lent price of 1.49 to the most recent increase to 1.99. It was one of the only things I actually sorta liked here. It's all over now, they are $3.99 and I'm over it too. Ain't no way in hell I'm paying this. On the hunt now for high end fish sticks as a replacement... Honestly, they don't prepare anything very well here, even for McDonald's. Crispy tenders were ok. Expectations of quality should be lowered here to avoid disappointment. Usually this place is great with fast & friendly service, food almost always comes out fresh. I've never had the app not work for me though, and today the person taking orders told me there was nothing they could do about it. Considering every McDonald's asks if you're gonna be using the app before you order, I kind of felt like they didn't try hard enough to get it to work for me so I could order what I wanted exactly at the price I'm used to paying. I understand they don't control the app but perhaps getting a manager involved to try to resolve the issue would have been helpful. Plus, they just took a really long time to take orders. I do not come to McDonald's often, but when I do it's usually for some of their breakfast items. This time around I ordered a cup of coffee, a Sausage Egg McMuffin, and a golden brown hash brown. The sausage egg McMuffin was typical, in that it was good. The single egg was well cooked; just needed a little seasoning, which I took care of with a little black pepper. The sausage patty was warm all the way through and savory, the American cheese melted, and the English Muffin warm and moist. It was just what mu stomach ordered. The hash brown, although it was a little oily, tasted good and was crispy the way it should be. It was lightly seasoned and good to eat with some ketchup. The coffee was what I expected from McDonald's in that it was robust and a little harsh. I ate on the patio and it was a little disappointment there because at least two thirds of the tables and chairs still had morning dew on them so dry clean seating was limited. This McDonalds in located off Clairemont Mesa Blvd in the same business center as Starbucks, Souplation & Chipotle. This location is extremely hectic during the evening hours!!! Looooong drive thru lines. Rarely lines inside, so go inside to order if you can, it doesn't look that busy. The parking lot always has construction. I went this morning and 3/4 of the parking was blocked off. The cashiers here are prompt and friendly. The lines move but not very swiftly. My orders have continually been accurate, so that's a plus. McDonald's price are quite high and continue to raise. Yet the portion sizes remain the same or have gotten smaller. The sausage McMuffin, quarter pounder, happy meal (4 piece nuggets) and Big Mac are my household favorites. read more
