I don't do fast food often, but when we are on the road, a quick pull off the freeway always ends up at McDonalds. :) Well, we stopped here for breakfast on our way to Yosemite. For roughly $5, I got a coffee, a super muffin, and hash browns. The coffee was very weak, reminded me of coffee on the plane. I must say, the food was good for fast food, I had no complaints. I made a simple order on the App - totalling $6 and 6,000 reward points. Something happened on their end in the app and the store didn't have the order. I showed them the e-mail copy of the receipt. The manager was rude and said 'I have to see it on the app', but my app didn't show it. I then showed her the pending charge on my credit card plus the e-mail confirmation and asked for them to just make my order (10 nuggets and quarter pounder) - it costs them less than $3 to make this food. She then said that the Ripon McDonalds was NOT part of McDonalds - it is a franchise. She refused to make the food ...... I finally got a refund of the $6 ....... now I have now way to get my reward points back which are worth about $6 and they haven't been credited. NEVER going back here! read more

I had a long drive, so I made a quick stop here to get something to eat. There was plenty of parking spaces and only a few people in the store. I ordered cheeseburgers and fries on the kiosk. Service was fast. Burgers are on the smaller side...nothing impressive but good enough for a quick meal. read more

Sloppy gross. The burgers were cold and the outside of each bun had ketchup smeared all over it. It looked like a stage prop for a thriller movie. The fries were warm but very very soggy and darker than normal. This location is famous for telling you to pull around and wait so they can pretend that the drive thru wait time numbers are better than they are. On the pull around and wait orders almost every time something is missing from ketchup, napkins, straw or occasionally your food. The young kids working are always nice and friendly. Don't recommend this McDonald. The drive thru male employee needs to learn better customer service. The new limited burger is also disappointing because it looks nothing like the photo. There was very little lettuce. Been through hundreds of mcdonalds locations in the world, please train or rotate or fire the man at the window. Visited McDonald's drive thru window today, 2/26/25 at 7:56 am, order 86, #32593 and after paying the gal, I asked for a receipt. I got a negative attitude and the gal at the window rolled her eyes at me as if it was asking for too much. It would be beneficial to hire staff with the training and ability to provide good and professional customer service and not to serve disrespect to their customer. I've never cared about service and incompetence as a worker. We're all humans and make mistakes. I get that. What I don't get is why a clown is going to give me attitude. I didn't know that Ronald McDonald clown would give me attitude because he was unable to listen correctly. I'm not sure who the young man was, with the weird mustache, working the drive through at 8 AM on 06/22/2024, but he should check himself before talking to others that way. Stopped for gas and checked Maps to see what food areas are open near me. It says this McDonalds is open 24 hours. Got there in 10 mins and entered drive thru. Lady comes on and says We don't open until 5. I know it says something different online but it's 5 am every day. Sorry about that. This McDonalds is terrible. Waited 15 minutes for my order from the kiosk. Order came missing the chicken sandwich. I informed an angry appearing employee, a middle aged woman, I assume was the shift manager. She just grabbed my bag and walked toward the preparation area and returned with the sandwich. No apology or even acknowledgment that they had made a mistake. She then looked at my receipt and said, "do you want your cone?" I informed her we hadn't purchased a cone. She then said "oh it's says coke." Ridiculous, if I had ordered a cone why would an employee ask me if I wanted an item I ordered? Horrible place! I'm an elderly, disabled person. I started to suffer from heat exhaustion on July 1st while traveling on the hiway 99. I was getting dizzy and confused. Signs all over the hiway warning people about the heat. I pulled into this mcdonalds to cool off and try to feel better. I ordered a Sprite and only had it half finished when they told me I had to leave because I was there for longer than 30 minutes. I told him my situation, and then accuses me of sleeping and threatened to call the cops on me. So I left, got into my van(no a/c) and went down the road to Taco Bell, where they were kind and gracious. I was suffering from heat exhaustion, and they didn't make me leave. What kind of person would kick an old man back out into the dangerous heat like that. Terrible, absolutely mean. I will never visit another mcdonalds in my life. read more

They have an automatic menu that did not change for a while and I could not order until the screen actually changed to show me what was available. It's hard to avoid stopping at a McDonald's on a road trip down the 99. Even if you aren't going there to eat, inevitable human functions like the need to pee or stretch will make you get off the highway, and there's a McDonald's off of seemingly every exit. The Ripon location is a common stopover for me when traveling between Fresno and Sacramento because of its placement on the journey. Now, I could never rate a McDonald's above three stars. Even if the service is fantastic, which it rarely is, or the place is clean, which it rarely is, the food will never, ever change. Ripon justifies my highest three star rating because the handful of times I've been there, the food I've ordered has always been hot and served up quickly and the employees have been pretty nice despite some sometime crazy lines of hungry customers. Oh, and they have a decent pisser for those looking to pee in the rare McDonald's bathroom that is actually stocked with all the basic amenities. read more

Normally, I never find anything good about McDonald's. It's usually a three star company. This is actually, the second time I've been to this location, and they are better than average. You get all the food's ingredients. You get helpful help, without an attitude. Today, as with the previous experience, was good. We only got drinks and needed a place to work on video clips. Cashier didn't smile much and seemed irritated when I asked to change something on my order, she assumed the size of drink before I asked so she had to change it on her register. Shouldn't have been a big deal as I was the only one in line. Food came out quickly, they were bagging everything for take out even though most were dining in. Food was hot, fries were fresh and right amount of salt. Filet of fish was good but sloppily made. The patties are tossed on unevenly and the lower bun is oozing as if it was dunked in oil. So much oil it leaked through the box and bag.
