Over the past few years this went from one of the nicest McDonald's to one of the worst. The previous owners took pride in their restaurant, hired/trained quality employees and managers, made sure the restaurant was clean, and made sure the food was as good and fresh (as fresh as gross fast food can be anyway). Since the previous owners sold this McDonald's along with a bunch of other McDonald's in southern WI, this place has gone downhill in a big way. It's almost like the new owners have gone out of their way to make this place terrible. You can literally be the only person in the place, standing near a cash register waiting to order, and multiple employees (including a manager!) will be standing right in front of you just yapping away with each other. There is food all over the floors and on the tables. The soda has been warm AND flat. The quality of the food is horrendous. I'm by no means a fast food guy but I can tell the difference between a well made fresh Big Mac and a sloppy piece of junk which was thrown together with stale wilted ingredients. And why in a million years did the new owners take out the fire place?? This restaurant is just awful. read more

Don't go here this morning out of hash browns. I've never heard of any McDonald's being out of hash browns. Now I'm here ordering breakfast for 12 to bring back to my summer place thinking I'll at least get a coffee while I wait for my order...NOPE. Coffee pot empty two people ahead waiting for food begging for their coffee already please...WOW... All the while one of the staff is cleaning the shake machine. Guess it was too much for the manager to make sure she kept the coffee pots full and clean the machine. Now I would complain to McDonald's but their little survey is like getting punished a second time. Will replace trip here with the subway nearby. read more

If I could go lower I would. We ordered two iced coffees with different ingredients, waited at the drive thru window a very long time. Two workers were there talking and laughing and it appeared that one was being trained. We almost pulled away because we would be late for our meeting when one of the coffees came up. Several minutes later the other one came up. Neither one of us got what we ordered! read more

The slowest McDonald's ever would not recommend the people are rude and all ways run out of something

Worst McDonald's in the world! Have to wait forever for food every time! It totally sucks! Also I heard the people there get high and drink in the back.. not good at all. Stop getting stoned and maybe you guys could move a little faster. Also the workers like to stand around on their phones and eat and talk which is not a good look! Such a shame for McD's! read more

Disgusting. Only one bathroom in service and it was extremely dirty. The floors in the entire establishment were coated in dirt and sticky residue (and this was at 7am!). The fountain drink machine was filthy. Paper straw wrappers sitting in the water catch basin that were molding. Management should be embarrassed. read more

This has to be one of the most poorly managed restaurants in the chain. Here are my experiences the last three times I was there - 6 weeks summer of 2015. 1. Ketchup was red and yellow in color. A customer before me complained and the ketchup dispenser was put out of service. 2. Went to drive through for an ice cream and a soda. Waited a long time to get to the service window. For an ice cream and soda, I was told they were under staffed and to pull out of the line and wait. 3. Friend ordered and the bill came to over 9 dollars. Cashier was corrected and actual price was just over six dollars. We had to wait about 15 minutes for food and were given a happy meal coupon to compensate for the long wait time. Once again, the ketchup dispenser fluid was yellow and red. Bathroom faucet didn't work properly. They were out of mustard for the burgers. It seems they use inexperienced people at the cashier. Probably because the turn over is so high, they always are inexperienced. Then, for a crowded restaurant there is only one over stressed cashier. I recommend that if this place appears at all crowded, avoid it. Use packaged ketchup instead of the ketchup from the dispenser. Check your receipt for errors. Keep the order simple as to not confuse the always new, poorly trained and poorly supported cashier. read more

Stopped here twice now for shakes. Once later in the evening and was told the machine was down. Chalked that up to time of day. Stopped again today, St. Patrick's Day wanted a shamrock shake at 1:00 in the afternoon and the machine down again. Beginning to think it never works. it's a shame with the BP next door and the Hardee's and Loves travel center across the freeway. Don't bother going to the east for McDonald's unless you have Bp rewards for the gas station. Good luck read more

This is ABSOLUTELY the worst McDonalds I have ever been to in any state and we travel quite a bit around the United States. It was so filthy and disgusting. We waited 30 minutes for 5 meals. There were only 6 workers and they were extremely slow! No smiles, no trying to please the customer, and no one apologizing for the long wait. A customer that came in a few minutes after us was complaining about how long it took for her two meals and requested a refund so they could go somewhere else. They had not received their food yet. The manager told her they don't offer refunds. The woman said she was calling corporate and the manager was like okay whatever. I have been in management for over 20 years and never in my life have I seen a more poorly run establishment. Very sad. They either need to close this place down or hire all new people. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. 3 tries to order, confirmed order at window. Still came out wrong 3 times. Avoid unless you like to waste your time. read more

We were driving through and decided to stop at this McDonald's despite the terrible reviews. Rest assured this McDonald's is horrendous. Waited 10 minutes in the drive thru even though there was 1 car in front of us, they only had limited menu items and the cashier had an attitude. Do not make the same bad decision we did. Do not go here! McDonald's Corp- please find a new franchise owner!!! Sad! read more

Friday night, my husband ordered two identical happy meals. He was handed three. He looked at the bill and noticed that he had been charged for three. There was a line far behind him so he didn't want to make a fuss so he took them. Sunday, It was my daughter's birthday so I wanted to get them breakfast. I ordered four sausage biscuit sandwhich meals with one Med Mocha Frappe, one coke, and two orange juices. I was quoted $18 and some odd change at the window. I thought that it was kind of high but that it would be sorted out at the window. I got to the window and they told me $10 and some odd change- that sounded more correct. I handed my card and I was handed a small mocha frappe. I looked at the receipt and I had been charged for a small. I told the woman that I had ordered a medium and I tried to hand her my card to process the order for a Medium drink. Before taking my card, she shut the window and walked away. I could hear her tell someone that I was trying to hand her a card. When she opened the window, I told her if this was too complicated for her, to skip it and I would take the small. She thanked me and said that it was too complicated. I left with the small drink. Two errors and poor customer service in two days has us thinking that we will go across the street to Hardees from now on for special family takeout splurges. read more

Egg mcmuffin meal ordered at 7:31 in the drive through, didn't receive it until 7:45. Extremely slow service.

This was the worst mcdonalds experience i have ever had, if there were a way to give negative stars i would. it took me twenty minutes just to get my meal, the employees were nice but the service was dog ass. The only perk about this place was there was a very attractive girl ahead of me in line. In all of my professional carer, I have never been more dissapointed in mcdonalds. They didn't even have the cheeses curds that I was looking forward to all week. Not to mention all of the drinks were flatter than my tits, and none of them had any flavor, because I tried them all, as I paid for a large drink and left with a water. I hope this mcdonalds burns to the ground and they build a very successful burger king over it. Or a casino. read more

I went to McDonald's at 11250 N. Port Washington Rd. in Mequon, WI to redeem one of my quality survey receipts for two Egg McMuffins. First of all, the lady at the cashier did not know how to handle the receipt redemption coupon, and had to call the manager over. The manager told me it would take two to four minutes to do the Egg McMuffins even though it says those breakfast items are available all day. But, more importantly, she refused to honor my coupon, saying I had to do the survey first. I had done the survey ! She said she could tell that I had not done the survey because of "the last two numbers" I wrote on the coupon. Thinking that I might have transposed the last two digits I pulled out another receipt that I had in my wallet, and again she said, "the last two numbers were wrong", and that the sequence of both numbers were identical. (And of course, this was done by the manager with a very demeaning attitude as though I were a crook trying to scam McDonald's for two Egg McMuffins.) Without my reading glasses, I could not dispute her claim as to the sequence of the two numbers being identical. Thinking that I made two colossal mistakes, I then left embarrassed, without any purchase, returned to my office and filled out another customer survey receipt I had from a different McDonald's earlier that morning. Interestingly, the last two digits given to me were the same as my previous two surveys. It would appear that these receipts are somehow store specific; however, nowhere does it say so on the receipt. Also, with my reading glasses, I noticed that the two digit sequences on the two previous receipts, while nearly the same, are not the same. What a McDonald's experience ! ! ! Thanks for my daily dose of humiliation, and for discouraging me from ever doing your surveys again. To the manager -- Please purchase a pair of reading cheaters, and take a course in customer relations. read more

I stop here for food/drink every now and then, always have to wait at the window for your food for atleast a minute, longest iv ever experienced is like 6 minutes late at night. What can you expect from a Mcdonalds on the boarder of a small town? (I have experienced much worse in Madison even) Quality of the food seems to vary alot, sometimes the burgers taste like they've been sitting there for ahwil, smashed but still good, and sometimes they are perfect and above average. They do hire alot of kids, as I actually know/knew alot of their workers, and the kids arent allowed to do alot of the cooking. That probably contributes to Lindsay B's comment of workers leaning around. And yes, please, never get gas at the nearby BP unless you HAVE to, the other week it was nearly 20 cents above the one in downtown Poynette, I have lived in this area for years, and since I started driving have NEVER gotten gas there. read more

Rude staff. Consistently get riders wrong! Will be calling corporate. Drivethru extremely slow. Closed early a couple times. Shorted me on McNuggets! read more

Live down the road so use to stop here 1 - 3x a month (roughly) for weekend breakfast. I now stop at the one in Deforest or portage Wi instead because the wait time and service here, in my opinion, makes it worth the extra 8 min drive. It's McDonald's so I don't expect much for food and I expect a couple of item mishaps but to wait 30 mins then have a food error just isn't worth it and that is if someone is or isn't in front of me at the drive through. read more

Worst McDonalds ever, don't go there unless you have over 30 minutes to wait for your food!!!! And even then you better pray that it comes out right!!! Last time we were in there, there were over 20 people waiting for their food. I watched a guy order a large fry, it took so long for him to get it he left!!! Really!!!!???? Go you McDonalds, you never cease to amaze me!! read more

Never has the ice cream machine running. Bathrooms are very unsanitary. I don't recommend here. Service is terrible and needs nicer staff. Very poorly structured. Also hottest McDonald's ever. read more

This is by far the worst McDonald's I've been to. The food was fine--typical McDonald's food--but unbelievably slow!! They only were using one register of the three, even though there was a long line of people waiting to order. It took forever for our order to be ready. I couldn't find a clean table to sit at and the floor was full of French fries. Very poorly managed. read more

Worst McDonald's I've ever experienced! The service is slow and unfriendly. Someone in front of us refused a drink so the lady took it back and about 10 minutes later she comes back with the same drink! Why'd she refuse? What was the situation? The wait would've been tolerable if the fries were fresh, not soggy, and warm and my milkshake had more than a smidge of whipped cream. I can safely say I will not return there anytime soon. read more
