    A "ghost" kitchen.
    Larry S.

McDonald's -- no longer worth the wait. The McDonald's customer base is increasingly dominated by those who place large third-party pickup and delivery orders, overshadowing the walk-in mobile and at-the-register customers who come in to order just a few items on the go with the expectation of being served quickly. I was here, at 7702 Mc Knight Rd on a recent Sunday morning, and watched 80% of the food leave the premises in big giant McDonald's paper carry-everything-away tote bags. You would think, at the very least, that the McDonald's mobile app would be enhanced to algorithmically forecast the "wait" time for a walk-in customer prior to their placement of the order, so they can dawdle somewhere if so inclined, perhaps even get a haircut, rather than simmer and stew and clock-watch in a pool of other unhappy discomfited customers. The food was good, after it finally arrived and was handed to me 25 minutes after I had placed my order. But, sadly, Mickey Mouse has come to steal away the magic from this franchise location. Are McDonald's "ghost" kitchens next? You betcha!

Quadruple negative stars. The manager came and threatened us, was belligerent, and when she escalated the situation she triggered me to call her a bad name. She had bright red hair and looked like white trash, then had the nerve to call me "mom of the year." They gave us our order, then were adamant they gave us 2 chocolate chip cookies and milk shakes, which were part of someone else's order, which they did not give us. So we tried to tell her that the drinks on the counter were all we needed to complete our order, they were confused and stupefied, and there was chaos w 3 McDonald's workers then telling us we had a double order which we didn't..... then she threatened to call the police on me. The corporate office MUST KNOW AND PULL THE TAPE as they whole staff needs training.

Nothing is really that bad here. I mean the food tastes good, there's a play place, and more! This place is fine as it is.

Love the decor in the shop. There were many prepared food options in the fridge, as well as various cuts of meat/preparations of it. We got two sandwiches, the cheesesteak and the marbella. I dont think we ended up with the correct order because we didn't end up with a cheesesteak, but did not realize until we got home. I'm positive that if I went back to the shop they would've remedied the situation, but I didn't feel it was necessary! The sandwich we did end up with was good as well, unsure which one it was though. Very fair prices, and our dog was so happy we brought him home a bone as well! Looking forward to coming back and trying everything they have to offer.

The business practices whole-animal, nose-to-tail butchery that respects the animals. Even bones and fat are used. My husband and I shopped here one time. On a Saturday afternoon, we drove around the neighborhood for 30 minutes before we found a paid parking spot. Other customers were inside the store, but the employees in the store served us promptly and politely. We saw cuts of beef, pork, lamb, and poultry as well as sandwiches, soups, spices, maple syrup, etcetera. We did not see as many unique meats as larger butcher shops sell. Prices were OK. We bought beef skewers and cooked them at home. We thought that the quality of the meat could have been better, but we liked the juiciness and flavors.

Pittsburgh Sandwich Society runs a kitchen out of Strange Roots Experiential Ale which is a small locally-owned distillery. Once you enter, you'll scan a QR code to order online. Don't waste time like me waiting for a server lol. I ordered the In-An-Aht burger which features spring mix, their society sauce, American cheese and tomato. The burger was SO GOOD. All the ingredients had the perfect portions and came together beautifully. It was a perfect medium-well cook. The fries are hand cut and delicious. My only distaste was that fries were veryyyyy salty. +Customer service was amazing! +Limited Free Parking out front and in a nearby alley. +Plenty of tables for dine-in +Free boardgames to play +Beautiful patio with plenty seating I'm excited to return for the patio in the summer when I return to PA. They don't open until 4, but you can place orders online hours before then. Picked up food around 4:20. By time we got home, the fish maintained its crispness. I was actually quite impressed with how well it was prepared. Nice and flaky but didn't fall apart. The bun it comes on is well proportion with the fish. The only thing I could've went without, was the macaroni salad topped on the fish. However, the food here never disappoints. I'll be back.

We found an adorable part of town to walk through and then we spotted Moonlit Burgers and decided to stop for lunch. They have limited table service in the sense that you place your order with the cashier when you walk in and they bring your food out to you a little bit later on. They even checked on us a few times while we ate. Very nice staff too! The restaurant is a good size with lots of tables for two and few bigger tables as well. They also have a separate bar if you want something other than soda with your burgers. I ordered the Moonlit Smashburger and the hubby ordered a chicken sandwich; we also ordered fries and a drink to share. The cup for the drink was super duper tiny though, and we weren't sure about refills so we just took shallow sips. Next time we'll make sure to get two drinks. The smashburger was so good!! Everything a smashburger should be. The moon sauce was tangy and complimented the meat so well. And those crispy edges!! The fries were nice and crisp too and the hubby thoroughly enjoyed his chicken sandwich. We left the restaurant satisfied and full!!
