If you want to enjoy that experience, you need to go to Jumbo's. When you walk in you are greeted with a warm smile and a welcome home feeling. Then there is the food. We had the meatloaf today, and we have not had anything like it since being at granny's. The meat was savory and flavorful from the first bite to the last. I had the green beans. They tasted like they were straight from the garden to being jarred in the kitchen. The Mac and cheese was obviously home made from scratch. We finished lunch off with cherry cobbler. And yes , you guessed it, just like granny made. On top of all that, sitting there felt like sitting at a table in granny's house with all of your aunts, uncles and cousins. Even the patrons were friendly and engaging. We will be back because we hear the hamburgers are the best in the state, can't wait to find out for my self.

I was in Pell city visiting a customer and stopped in at Tavern at the Saint Clair for lunch. I ordered a blackened chicken sandwich and collard greens. Both were fantastic! Place was very nicely, decorated and clean, the staff was all very friendly, and of course the food was very, very good! This was my first time here, but I can guarantee you it won't be my last.

Excellent customer service at this location, especially for a burger chain. The employee at the drive thru window was patient, personable & intentional about ensuring our order was recorded and delivered accurately. Wait time was relatively long considering the time of day (2 pm) BUT our food was served piping hot & our order (for a fam of 5) was accurate down to the condiment and utensil count. I definitely rec swinging by this Freddy's location if you're in the area and craving burgers, tots or custard!

Once we got it, the temps of some items were lukewarm. A couple of our guests ordered the pot roast special and complained about the really small portion of roast received in comparison to the vegetables. It was brought to our servers' attention, but she just stated that's all that came with the special. I ordered the Fried Liver which was adequate. The fried okra and broccoli casserole was lukewarm. Overall, the food was subpar. As far as the the restaraunt, it is older and outdated. Expect no thrills and although it's a "steakhouse", I wouldn't trust eating a steak here.
