I was in Pell city visiting a customer and stopped in at Tavern at the Saint Clair for lunch. I ordered a blackened chicken sandwich and collard greens. Both were fantastic! Jerry, who mentioned that he is one of the sous chefs told me a little bit about the place. This is a scratch kitchen for just about everything on the menu. Place was very nicely, decorated and clean, the staff was all very friendly, and of course the food was very, very good! This was my first time here, but I can guarantee you it won't be my last.

Overall, the food was subpar. As far as the the restaraunt, it is older and outdated. Expect no thrills and although it's a "steakhouse", I wouldn't trust eating a steak here.
