A HIDDEN GEM.... I relocated from FLL to Seawalls Point and found this cute restaurant specializing in Irish-American cuisine. Boasting an impressive menu I was conflicted between Surf-&-Turf (Burger Mullet fillet) or BBQ. Since I'm the adventurous type I went with the BBQ Sandwich, accompanied by a side of crisp, finely cut Idaho Potatoes. I Irish waiter Marta (who curiously spoke with a deep hispanic accent) called my order a "McRib Combo" which must be code for the soon to come meal. I also selected a glass of carbonated water with a twist of lime and 3 cups of sugar (Marta called it a "Sprite" This hidden gem is call McDonalds, probably due to the founder being some Irish guy who relocated from Boston or something. The last few times I have gone there they have completely messed up my order. First, I ordered a ten piece nugget meal which only came with eight in it. I know, we can't ask for a lot when it comes to fast food... but the place is so messy! My family and I were driving from the port of Miami to Orlando Airport and had a long drive on the FL Turnpike. We were hungry, so stopped by as this location was on our route. I did check the ratings, but we still stopped (my bad, but closest on our route). Instead of the drive thru, I took my daughters to the restroom while my husband ordered our food. The woman's bathroom was a mess and one toilet out of order. I go by the bathrooms a lot in places, even more so when you know the staff is using the same one. It was gross... so now I am starting to think... do I really want to eat here?? I didn't have much of a choice as my husband had already ordered our food. The soda machine was gross, to where I was about to skip on my drink and again started to worry about the food. Do they have letter ratings in FL? I am from CA, so at this point I am wondering what the standards are for food places in FL. We got our food and the order was wrong, but we were in a hurry and just didn't want to worry about it. Items were missing, but we didn't pay for them looking at the receipt, they were totally missed even though my husband and oldest ordered it. So it is what it is. The food was okay. We stopped at this McDonald's on the drive from Orlando to the Keys. Before this visit I couldn't tell you the last time I've been inside a McDonald's. The food and service was standard for a McDonald's, although I'll add a quick aside that I'm a fan of the all day breakfast. It was nice being able to get both a hash brown and chicken nuggets at the same time. Also my boyfriend mentioned it's the first time he's gotten a McGriddle that looked so perfect. The main reason for writing this review is that I was impressed with the interior - the eating area was clean, bright, and modern. It's the nicest McDonald's I've seen and still fit the brand without being cartoonish. I really appreciated that the surfaces didn't feel like they'd been touched by thousands of sticky fingers. I'm guessing this is a relatively new location and hopefully it stays as nice over time. read more

I work nights and sometimes I enjoy a meal from McD's. Ordering from the Palm City, Florida McDonald's is hit or miss at best. There have been several times where the restaurant was open but I could get no response from staff. Tonight I waited 25 minutes, drove around the restaurant and saw workers inside, but they would not respond or take my order. I drove up to the window and a kid came up and told me to drive around again and they would take my order. I then waited in the ordering lane again for 10 minutes - nothing. Other times the food has been cold, like it had been made and sat too long. The shake and ice cream machines are consistently "out of order". How lazy do you have to be to hide in the back of a McDonald's and refuse to take orders? This being the only McD's within driving range that's open 24 hours, we are forced to deal with this. Four other customers came and left tonight (12/30/23 at 4 am) without any acknowledgement from staff - who were in the building at the time, but hiding. Came to this location at 10pm, which has a drive thru sign that states a 24 hour drive thru. Awesome. We pull up. " oh the drive thru is closed"...we say, " why does it say 24 hour drive thru"?...their response = I don't know thanks. Seriously???? You advertise your location as a 24 hour location but you don't honor those hours or advertising you have in a yellow sign??? That's some garbage.
