More open and upscale McDonald with no kid play area... Nice place to grab a tea and chill with wi-fi. It's McDonald so nothing special, but surprisingly nice. Free refills & wi-fI has me coming back to discover they remodeled. Not open 24 hours a day.

The staff was ruuudeee. Service was quick. No one made eye contact, no one ever smiled. They handed me the food and shut the window.

Elevated casual atmosphere that is super family friendly. We sat at a table in the main dining area, which also had a large bar with nice plush chairs. Plenty of TVs on mute if you want to check in on a sports game. Service was 11/10 - seamless, well paced, and very friendly staff Food was 4.5/5 - pretzels, brat, schnitzel were all delicious, best schnitzel Ive had outside of Germany Sadly the apple strudel dessert fell flat (seemed like it was on day 3, soggy pastry and a bit chilled like it was pulled from the fridge and microwaved) Plenty of fun German and Austrian classics, amazing beer, full bar with tasty cocktails, winning atmosphere and excellent service. Definitely worth a visit (or two or 10)

Mistake was caught by the kitchen in under a minute and they sent out the spaetzel. I appreciated the great service. My husband's goulash was really good but my schnitzel was still far better. Oh. The hot chicken sandwich was not only incredibly thick and juicy, but the crust was crispy without being overwhelming or too much breading. I loved the spicy sauce that was used to make it hot chicken and somehow it didn't make the sandwich soggy at all. The slaw was more of a vinegar base, so it didn't weight it down with a heavy creamy flavor. Also the pickles were heavenly and I want to eat them on EVERYTHING. Moving onto the handcut, double fried fries. They were crispy and such a delight to see on a food truck, as far too often you get sad, pre-frozen fries. These were phenomenal and we ate every single one of them! You can practically taste the quality through the photos, they're everything and more than you'd imagine. I can't wait to try more things ASAP!

The fries are what I would go back for since they were really the best part of the meal. The chicken sandwich was just okay for me. I think the flavor was lacking, but the chicken was moist and the breading was crunchy; I just wish it had a little more flavor. My husband had the Nashville hot chicken and said that it was just not as hot as he had hoped. This is a good option for a food truck and I would go back to order again in hopes that the flavor would be better next time!

The half-pound patty came out medium-rare with real char marks and seasoning that went all the way through -- not just a salt crust on the outside that fools you on the first bite. The toasted bun held everything together start to finish, which sounds like a low bar until you've had a $20 burger collapse into your lap. The bacon had a genuine snap to it, the cheese melted into every layer, and the produce was clearly cut that morning. You can tell the difference. The fries are a full portion and they stay crispy long enough to actually eat them. Service moved fast for a kitchen cooking everything to order. The room has that no-nonsense burger joint feel -- you're there for the food, and the bar-and-grill setup makes it easy to linger if you want to. Clayton location is convenient, parking is straightforward, and the price-to-portion ratio is better than most places charging the same or more for half the effort. If you're in the St. Louis area and want a burger that doesn't cut corners, this is the one. I'm heading back next week specifically for the mushroom Swiss.

This…read moreplace was suggested by a local, and I am so glad that I went because it was the best BBQ that I have ever had. I wasn't sure what to order, but the friendly staff recommended that I have the brisket, and I'm so glad I heeded their advice. The brisket sandwich was the most tender meat that I have ever had. I had never had brisket before having that sandwich, now my mouth waters any time I talk about this restaurant! The cole slaw that I had as a side provided the perfect crunch and balance. My mate had the pulled pork sandwich, which was also very tender. I also loved having a variety of barbecue sauces on the table and was able to try each one. Everyone has a preference, I'm sure, but after trying each one, I am completely sold on the Carolina gold. Also, I do not typically have a fountain soda, but the cola that was on tap was some of the best that I'd ever tasted. 10 out of 10 for Sugarfire, and I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in St. Louis!

The giant pig statue in front of the restaurant was actually quite informative, as it described where the meat comes from on a pig. Anyway, as I entered the restaurant, I stood in line. It was quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. There are long tables with many seats, so seating wasn't an issue. It is a first come first served dining situation. I ordered the 2-meat plate: brisket, ribs, baked beans, and potato salad. The brisket and the sides were definitely my favorite parts. The brisket was so tender, it basically fell apart in my hands! It was delicious! The baked beans were tangy and sweet, and the potato salad was creamy. I didn't like the ribs, they were very dry and definitely not worth the money. The barbecue sauces are in bottles on the table; my personal favorite was the Honey Badger, sweet with a little bit of heat. I found the Coffee BBQ sauce to be the most interesting; I have never had anything like it before. The coffee notes were subtle and helped balance out the smoky flavors. While I enjoyed the majority of my food, I am not sure if I will be returning. It was a nice experience, but the dry ribs left me feeling disappointed.

The service was very friendly, quick and not speedy fast but not overly long either. The guy who waited on us was informative and ensured that he had our order correct before moving on. I got a chili dog with nacho cheese sauce and as promised it was a messy dog, but with the fork and knife in the bag I was able to eat in my car without making too much of a mess. It was a good hot dog with tasty chili but what impressed me most was actually the bun. It was a nice poppy seed bun that had structure and held up to the ingredients without becoming a soggy mess. Each bite gave me a bit of hot dog, chili and cheese and a still structured delicious bun. I was impressed. Where woofies lost it with me, causing a mid level rating is the amount of salt in the cheese fries. I had looked so forward to these and found them so salty they were not edible. Quite the disappointment for me. There has to be a happy medium between flavorless and so salty you can't eat them lol Overall though, I would return for the chili dog, just not the fries.

I don't need to know these people personally to be able to name the 10 CDs they owned back in the 1990s. (If they weren't around back in the '90s, obviously I wouldn't want their opinion about anything.) Shake Shack isn't as good as Hi Pointe, but it's good enough that I wouldn't drive past a Shake Shack to get to a Hi Pointe if, for some reason, I just had to drop a Section 8 rent payment on my lunch. I was only there yesterday because I was meeting people, and I figured I'd go all out since I might never return. I didn't get the most elaborate sandwich, but more so because the specialty selections sounded, erm, ridiculous to me, to use currently acceptable terminology. But you best believe I got both a shake and the weirdly pale-looking cheese goo on my fries. I notice they nickel and dime you on various add-ons and options, e.g. whipped cream on your shake and what have you, which seems kinda pathetic, but it still ends up being less than you'd spend at a Five Guys. But that's true of literally anywhere you can shop in 2026, including Hermès. I appreciate the fact that you can order via kiosk, like at a Panera. It saves you from having to explain how you'd like your sandwich to the staff, which may or may not consist of Ladue residents. (They honestly seemed lovely.) Ordering my Double ShackBurger, I noticed that it comes standard with lettuce and tomato but no pickle or onion, which are available free of charge, so I went ahead and took care of that. The weird cheese gloop on the fries is only $0.50 extra, but I don't know how necessary it is. As its complexion (so to speak) suggests, it lacks the tang of stadium nacho cheese. It's not bad, but I would have been fine with just ketchup. Crinkle-cut fries are no one's preference (literally no one), but these might be the GOAT crinkle-cut fries. They're crisp to the point where they held up even under the gloop, but they weren't all dried out. They wanted another $0.50 for the whipped cream on my Cookies and Cream Shake. Are they saving up to go play Pac-Man? The shake was nearly impossible to suck through a straw when I got it (ahem), and that's even before you account for the bits of off-brand Oreo cookie. I wish they'd give you one of those bigger straws, not just a regular soda straw. If they're doing that for the environment, I might have to get the president involved. For some reason, they made my burger twice. They brought out a tray with everything on it, including my burger, and then later they brought out another burger. As a result, I ended up eating two double cheeseburgers, cheese fries and a shake. It wasn't my finest hour. I shudder to think how many calories I consumed. The guys I was there with (no Diddy), who were all runners, were shocked and appalled. They're not ginormous burgers, but I notice the buns are a little bit smaller, so the meat and various toppings hang out over the edge. It's an odd bun, weirdly soft and chewy, with a flavor that calls to mind the more premium/non-WIC hot dog buns they carry at the nearby Schnucks. The meat didn't seem to be as high quality as the meat at the aforementioned Hi Pointe, but the toppings were, uh, top notch. Overall, I'd describe the burger as an elevated Dave's Double from Wendy's, which, if you know ball, is the highest compliment you can pay anything, let alone a burger. I'd be curious to know where people are eating, if they don't like Shake Shack, but maybe I don't want to know? It'll be a while until my system is rid of all that ground beef, and longer still until I've recovered financially.
